My boyfriend and I were in room 2415 and oh. my. lord. The noise was unbearable! The floor above us is the kitchen for the rooftop bar Bar 360. I am convinced that the kitchen is also a bowling alley because it sounded like they were dropping bowling balls, breaking glass, throwing steel marbles and grinding 80 gallons of coffee beans all at the same time. The noise stopped around 3am and started right up again at 6am. We brought our white noise machine and played it on full blast and still couldn t sleep. The sheets were stained, the bathroom door was so so creaky, we weren t given any kind of run down on the hotel, there is no continental breakfast, I was just not impressed for a Hilton and for the price I paid. I have been more pleased at an AmericInn than I was at this Hilton. If you end up on the 24th floor, REQUEST TO MOVE ASAP!

My two star rating is more an indictment of the city of St Louis than of the hotel itself. At 3:00AM we were awoken by cars drag racing and doing donuts on the street below and then bursts of gunfire. This went on for about 10 minutes and not a single cop every showed up.

In the morning I scoured the internet and social media to read a news story about what happened. To my shock and disappointment there wasn't one. What I did find was an article from about three weeks prior that described the exact same scene. Apparently it happens so frequently that it's become commonplace, not cop worthy, not news worthy.

I guess if you have to travel to St Louis, this hotel is a fine place to stay, but if you can skip St Louis all together...do that.

My room was like a motel. Everything was old and there were lots of stains. I felt grossed out to say the least. The cleaning people don't know how to clean a room properly. I found something in my bed that I could not identify. When I picked it up with a Kleenex it left an old stain on the tissue. Very gross. They place needs a total overhall.

Checking in a true cluster!!!!! Had to pay $25 per day on top of room costs! Have stayed in several downtown hotels in St. Louis over the years this is my worst stay ever, room was nice and spacious but rest of experience ruined the stay! When check in is bad, usually sets the tone!
