I returned today from a mini vacation at Kalidria. In addition to the tranquility of the place and the beauty of the beach, it did not meet my expectations. at the first entry into the room I noticed two large stains on the upholstery ... no one did their best to remove. As for the swimming pool ... it is very small to be used by guests ... the lifeguard didn't even bother to find me a deck chair or a chair. Zero in reception. As for the dinner ... very long waiting times, 30-45 minutes between one dish and another, mostly cold dishes, disorganization among the waiters ... sometimes even rude. For me it is equivalent to three stars, not more. Very high cost compared to what it offers. Ps: unimaginable piano bar !!! I await your reply !! I await your reply !!

It is an oasis of relaxation and well-being in Castellaneta Marina (TA). You arrive at the beach by train, and on the right, before the bar overlooking the beach from above, there is a fish restaurant. There is not much night life, indeed, but it is an ideal destination for couples and for those who want to relax then in the SPA based entirely on thalassotherapy. Try the treatment lasting about 50 minutes. Really unforgettable.

The thalasso works well but the restaurant .... not. The waiters are not properly coordinated, good food but too raw: that not everyone can accept. Room service is sometimes scarce, they have not changed the linens. I also lost a pair of slippers and a beach pillow. Ops.

my husband and I have just returned from a stay at Kalidria, we already knew the structure but the new management has made significant improvements both outside and inside making it a really lovely place. I gave 4 stars and not 5 because initially there were problems on the restaurant (times too long to be served) but they recovered great!

The hotel was created by digging a small hill. The entire building is incorporated into the hill. The 5 stars are probably due to the presence of the vast and luxurious Thalasso SPA. However, the rest of the hotel, the services provided and the staff are not adequate for 5 stars and at a price of around 200 euros per night. A 4-star rating would perhaps be fairer also in consideration of the fact that no SPA service is included in the price. I have not seen the sauna, which is usually present in a SPA and should be free. The prices of the Spa are in my view too expensive. Free are the salt water swimming pool outside and the shuttle that guarantees the connection between the beach and the hotel. The shuttle is available every 30 minutes from 8 am to 7.30 pm and passes through the nature reserve adjacent to the hotel. The hotel's large and well-stocked gym is excellent. The buffet breakfast is also good, offering various savory options unlike the usual standard Italian breakfast. I absolutely do not recommend half board as the hotel restaurant is the weak point of the structure. Slow service and poor quality food compared to the 50 euros per person required. The private beach is quiet and clean and offers deck chairs, mats and umbrellas. Clean and crystalline sea but not comparable to other Apulian places. Ultimately nice hotel but too expensive oer what is offered.

Beautiful with a very wide beach and no crowds nor sun beds or rows of umbrellas. The sand is very fine and the shallow water is ideal for children. The hotel is not on the sea but is one km from the beach which is accessed via shuttles that run about every half hour. It is a good hotel and being able to do Thalassotherapy makes the difference compared to the other two located in the same resort. Quite welcoming staff and decent food. For me a 4 and a half star .... to have 5 stars it would take something more.
The structure is simply wonderful, but lunch leaves you speechless ..... I haven't seen the cans of Coca and Fanta at the table for a long time ..... I would never expect apples at kalidria .....

A large and, all in all, welcoming structure, much depends even if you stay in the vicissitudes of the central swimming pool. The comfortable rooms. Some flaws in food, some as a table, but in the norm for such a structure. The beautiful beach, wide and clean, some problems with jellyfish promptly removed from a protective net. To return, preferably in a low season to avoid the crowds. Professional and up-to-date animation.

We have just returned from our vacation at Kalidria ... what to say .. it was fantastic. A five-star super deserved. Good reception, excellent cleaning of the rooms, the structure and the spa. The bathrooms are always clean, the rooms punctually supplied with everything you need. In the early evening there is a cover service that leaves some small delicacies in the room and is ready to welcome every request. Speaking of services I found them excellent. The outdoor salt water pool is huge, surrounded by greenery, a space where you can sunbathe in comfort. The spa is divine ... with the largest covered path in Europe, a real treat for body and mind. Inside there are changing rooms, showers, and mini bars to enjoy regenerating hot teas, all framed by the staff's cleanliness and courtesy. The beach is well equipped, clean, equipped with towels and many other equipment as well as the bar. Just before the beach where you will be accompanied by a shuttle bus to the hotel, there is a restaurant where you can have lunch while enjoying a pleasant view and enjoying great food. The Kalidria restaurant is a pearl .. beautiful location .. between ponds and lush vegetation, lights and comfortable seating. For someone demanding the food service can be a mole for waits between courses and the other, but in my opinion ... it's all nicely sopportabile.la courtesy and professionalism of the room charge it is priceless, ready to make up for every little delay or inconvenience..with sweet surprises. The kitchen is of a high standard. The breakfast is abundant, the dishes well served and very tasty. Being a 5-star prices are above average but I assure you it's worth it. The Kalidria is the tipical structure of the Ethra reserve .. next to it there is a village made for families with children. If you are looking for a relaxing holiday and you want to be pampered ... it is the right place ... then if you are a fan of Vasco Rossi well ... you can have the pleasure of meeting him and taking a bath in the pool with him. Highly recommended

I lived only four days in this place, but it was an experience to say the least unique. Cleaning, availability, reception, buffet and various large and elegance distinguish this place! Let yourself go, forget the problems for a moment and enjoy the most beautiful Kalidria Thalasso SPA offers!

Obsolete. Conditions for small pets are unacceptable, they could create dedicated areas. Good restaurant with quality food. Entertainment boring 80's beautiful beach, will have been in September but have not been able to offer decent food for lunch or at the beach bar where we had nothing, nor to the hotel and given that you're isolated from the world that is not a particular indifferent.

A good day of relaxation by purchasing a daily entrance
far away from being a 5 star hotel. rooms: dirty carpets, small bathroom, only single beds. breakfast buffet very average, small selection. pool: no service (neither drinks nor wifi), you need to wear cap to swim (!!?!). indoor pool area costs 30euro for 1 hour (for some massage jets and old pool area). beach ok but nothing special, bar at beach serves only badly mixed drinks. dinner is good (food&wine), only reason its a 2 star rating. havent tried spa treatments yet but at least prices too high for what hotel showed so far. also better be able to speak italian, anything else is a struggle.
A hotel to relax. But it must be clear that without a car, the trips can be made difficult and costly. The hotel itself has indoor and outdoor swimming pool. But only outdoor pool is available for guests free of charge. Of course, a dreamlike beach has to be mentioned. Although a lot is cleared away from 15 September. So, to enjoy and to rest, just right.
