Among top 5 Hiltons I've been at so far. Considering how I live in hotels more than at my home, that should say something :-)
Rooms are very spacious, for regular King rooms. It's Malta, so the surroundings are, naturally, beautiful. However, the building itself is huge and full of amenities. If on a business trip, it's possible you won't need to go out on a scorching heat and leave the hotel much.
Two pools (indoor/outdoor), spa, sauna, gym, even creche... Probably more things that I missed. Navigation through the hotel can be tricky though, as some corridors are closed.
Staff, as usual for Hilton, is all genuinely smiling at you and making you feel welcome. Mihajlo from the reception knows *everything*. Seriously, I should have asked him for some lottery numbers :-)
Anyway, well-deserved 5*. Good restaurant, good food, clean pools, locker rooms, showers.... you get the point. Looking forward to staying here next time I'm in Malta :-)

It is the Hilton. The service is 5 star and it comes with the name. Right in the heart of St Julian's where all the action and night life is but away from it all if you want peace and quiet. A true 5 star hotel

Not resident in the hotel but dined in the foyer bar last night and the meal was spot on, very tasty, service brilliant couldn't fault anything enjoyed every aspect but returned today for afternoon tea and sadly a little disappointed whilst there was plenty of cake selection didn't want smoked salmon sandwiches and the sandwiches we received were poor hardly any filling at all and tasteless also no savoury item as listed in the menu L Gargettt

This is not a 5 star hotel. How it got 4.7 google rating is shocking. To sum it up, it is dated and dirty. It also seemed like the hotel was renovated in different stages because parts of the hotel are piecemealed together.
Our expectations were set very high because of the online ratings, but I would not recommend to revisit.
CONS:
- The layout is convoluted and confusing. You have take multiple elevators and walk down long hallways just to get to where you need to go. We stayed on the 11th floor, supposed to be sea view (a really view of the other rooms on side of the building). We had to take elevator to 5th floor (where the lobby is) then walk across a long hallway and then through the lobby then walk down stairs or take a different elevator to 3rd floor to where the pool is. And to get to the executive lounge, it's a different set of elevators.
- The lobby is newer and modern, but you have rooms that are outdated. See hallway pictures. Some blue theme, some brown theme. Doesn't match lobby and common area aesthetic.
- Our room was dirty. The sheets were stained and so were the pillowcases (different kind of stain than from sheets), ants in bathroom.
- The concierge sucked. On several occasions we asked for tips with the ferry and the guy said to check online. Other occasion, we asked about reservations to a restaurant and he said that he'd call us back but never did.
- Crowded, seemed short-staffed at times.
- We asked for late check (Gold Hilton status) and though we understand it's not guaranteed, we were offered 25euros per hour extra. No thanks.

PROS:
- The front desk staff were lovely and friendly. As well as the porter/valet.
- They were gracious and sent out complimentary desserts at dinner because we were there celebrating a milestone.

This hotel has so much going for it, especially as a Diamond HH Member. It's recently been totally refurbished to give it a smart modern feel, which I think puts it in the top 10% of Hotels that I have visited. Place has loads of Pools and a club area nearer the sea, but as I understand this has no direct or infrastructure (ladders/sea pool) for sea swimming. Shame for such a beautiful hotel, located on the coast.
Location is very good, with plenty of places to walk and explore.
Tip - A great supermarket is located just outside (arcadia/waitrose) if you have any needs shopping needs (Nappies, beers ..)

We had Sunday buffet lunch at the Oceana restaurant. The food was excellent, the service was always polite, timely, and attentive, and the environment was spacious, well lit and with a pleasant view. Highly recommended.

Lack of tact at Hilton Malta hotel

Lack of tact at Hilton Malta hotel
We have booked a "dream" weekend at the Hilton Malta hotel for this weekend. Unfortunately for us, my wife suddenly fell ill, forcing her to undergo chemotherapy-type treatment. Naively we asked for reimbursement for our stay with a medical certificate to support it. We received an answer of no receiving for the simple reason that it was too late, although it had been two days since we had notified them. So if the Hiliton hotel chain refuses to reimburse 541.50 for a very valid reason.
I hope that all those who have in their direct or indirect entourage a person suffering from this type of disease have in a corner of their head this lack of tact when validating a reservation in these hotels.
In any case for us we will never set foot in an establishment named HILTON for this lack of compassion and humanity.
