I was fortunate enough to have an opportunity to work with The Lander Group as a subcontractor via Moeding and Son. We work with many builders around the Twin Cities. It was refreshing to see their attention to details and to have a schedule known well in advance.

I'm a carpenter who lives, works and grew up in south Minneapolis. I care about doing good work for folks in my neighbourhood. I took on a very bare bones remodeling gig for tenants of a Lander Group house after spring flooding ruined their basement. My coworker and myself were consistently encouraged by Tony at Lander Group to cut corners and do the bare minimum. This commitment to the bare minimum actually added a lot of time to the job (ie spending half a day driving to 2 different stores to find a replacement panel for a shower surround rather than buying a new one for 80.00). At the end of the day the tenants were left with a sub par space inspite of our efforts and Lander Group shorted us thousands of dollars. It's disappointing to see bottom feeder developers like this setting up shop in our neighbourhood. Im not sure what good it will do but I will be having conversations with city council reps. This organisation does not care about the Southside. They're bullies who only care about their profits.
