I had 11 rooms reserved for the entire weekend. I left my key in reception for a friend because I wasn t available at their time of arrival. The receptionist instead checked out my room and refused to give my friend the key and eventually had to leave. When confronted, their response was oh we dont know how that happened and you must ve left it with another shift when i left my key with them... and tell me have a nice evening without apologies or taking any responsibility. The staff was friendly and I like the room and accommodations. My only turn off was the toilet seat was dirty. There was urine on it... And I believe there was some miscommunication about parking being free for guest because there was a charge for parking on our bill upon checking out. The hotel shares parking with another entity.

The staff were very nice. Sonia was the individual who checked us in. She was fantastic as we had issues with our pre-paid arrangements. The rest of the team were very nice.

Kim in the restuarant was helpful and very nice as well.

Does not seem to be in a safe place. They were remodeling on my floor and it look very unorganized and no real attempt to mask it. Bar attendant seemed kinda rough and not to customer friendly. Rooms seem very dated.

I stayed at the Hilton on July 31 - August 1, 2019. In all my years of travel, within the United States, in Europe, in Central and South America, in the Caribbean and in Africa, I have never stayed at a '4 star hotel' that has a dining concept such as this hotel has. In both the wealthiest and poorest countries countries that I have traveled in, the customers are generally provided with a great dining opportunity.
The concept at the Hilton suggest a 'casual, take-out' appeal. The food is pre - package and/or prepared quickly. I am traveling alone and arrived to the Hilton last night, close to 6 PM. When I went came down to dinner, I quickly observed and realized the extent of the new concept or service model. So, I decided to 'go with the flow' and ordered a pizza, that was on the 'hot' menu. I no sooner sat down and the man behind the counter in the restaurant announced that the pizza was ready. I realized quickly that the pizza was frozen and was made ready by being microwaved and stuffed in a box 'to go'. It tasted like a frozen pizza and it wasn't inexpensive.
If I had known that this was the dining venue for this hotel, I would NEVER had decided to stay here. I am sorry I didn't ask about the restaurant before making reservations at the Hartford Hilton. I am very disappointed and will never stay at this hotel or this chain of hotels again.

I would give this hotel a higher score but the quality of the hotel is 3 stars at best. The staff however, is 5 stars. There are not that many options in downtown Hartford. The hotel is clean, just older and in much need of updating, the have improved the common areas of the hotel, but the rooms look like they were last touched 15 years ago. Great staff.

I specifically asked a quite room, and the staff told me the room he assigned to me is quite. Guess what? He put me at the end of the building with the window wall towards/besides the highway. Literally I am on top of the highway hear each and every car passing with whistles as I am writing this review. Don't ever accept a room with higher numbers. go to the other end starting with 01 or 2. I will be sleepless tonight.

Dated rooms need a refresh..staying on the club level foor, ceiling is chipping away and the bathroom sink drains super slow...second room I've had with that same problem. Other than the dated rooms, everything else about the hotel is great.

Room is in rough shape. Iron burn on the rug, vent beneath window doesn't close flush...not what I expect from a Hilton, or any four-star establishment.
Staff is courteous, room is clean. Our floor was quiet. Nice view. Easy to park. Good enough for a night's sleep, but for the price you could probably find something in Hartford in better shape.

It's your run of the mill name brand hotel. It's not a luxury hotel, though it appears to have up scale amenities. The restaurant is well below sub par. A separate review was written for the in house "bistro." Overall everything appeared to be pretty clean and the staff was pleasant and attentive. The house keeping staff is the nicest house keeping staff I've ever encountered.

This place was horrible. The staff was so unhelpful, and the hotel itself is in bad shape. There were over 6 people trying to check in and only 1 person working. They refused to let me use that luggage cart and made me use the bell service which was a disgruntled security officer and then let the 2 people after me use the luggage carts themselves. Half the elevators were out of service. One of my friends was given a hard time for eating outside food at the bar even though the restaurant had closed and they allowed others to bring their food into the bar we were asked to leave, when we pointed out the hypocrisy, we were met with unprofessionalism and hostility form the staff. We were also refused use of the hotel shuttle even though other people who were going further were given the shuttle. All in all a horrible stay!

I am extremely unhappy with the Hilton right now, so unhappy I'm ready to cancel my four closest reservations. Basically they overcharged us for the deposits when we arrived. The room was beautiful don't get me wrong but the drama with it was not worth it. After we cleaned the room, because the four of us were taught to clean up, appearently after a 2 minute elevator ride and heading down to the front desk for check out. Now I'm a very patient and agreeable person but the employee stepped away for 15-20 minutes and appearently got a call from housekeeping and appearently the room was so "dirty" that they had to keep half of the deposits to "deep clean" it. Now we picked up all the trash and all the linens and kept them separate but the trash was all in bags and the linens all in one area but the only things that they had to do was clean the linens, vacuum and such but no. Not only that but I did find a bug in my room. They ended up keeping half of my deposit and the employee was very rude. This is the second and last time I will stay in this Hilton Hotel. It's not worth your money for this hotel.
Edit:
We spoke to other people who attended connecticon and they did the same to them as well. Staff last year was decent. I cancelled my Marriott reservation for this. Not worth it.

The room was clean and comfortable. I didn't give them a better score as parking was expensive and inconvenient to have validated as there was always a wait at the front desk during peak times. The view was disappointing and the room would be better with a microwave added.

I was in town for the Connecticut Home and Remodel...

I was in town for the Connecticut Home and Remodeling show, Chose to stay at the Hilton because it's only about .6 mi from the convention center. Original booking was for Friday and Saturday night and it was booked using the Hilton Rewards program. To detail what amazing customer service I received I ended up needing to extend my stay to include Sunday night. Now generally, original bookings can not be extended when booked through the rewards program and you don't get the same rate especially for Sundays, the manager was able to get everything through for me in a pinch (Sunday Evening) without incident and at the same rate as original booking. Stayed in room 1705 -- Room was clean and staff was extremely pleasant, every single person I had the pleasure of coming into contact with was amazingly courteous and genuine. Furthermore, I pretty much ate all my meals at the hotel and the cafe staff & room service staff were amazing. Definitely go down to the bar and have a conversation with the 30 year Hilton bartending veteran named David, he's an amazing guy and makes great drinks. I will absolutely stay there again next time I do business in Hartford.

I live an hour away and stayed for three days during a severe power outage. Staff is lovely, from all areas. The rooms were nicely appointed. Elevators run with room keys only, which is good since Harrford is not really a safe city. Don't walk around alone in the area. You can access the expo center via bridge access from the hotel. Restaurant was good, although the menu is limited. I upgraded my room to include breakfast and evening snacks and it was well worth it. The staff take very good care of the executive lounge. The indoor pool and gym are a cut above standard hotel facilities. Be mindful the only parking is $19/day, which really jacks up your daily bill. There is no where else to park.

I stayed at the Hilton Hartford for work last week, and I have to say my experience was top notch. The staff went above and beyond to accommodate my needs and make me feel comfortable. From the front desk agents to housekeeping to the restaurant staff, every individual was
proactive, caring, and giving. Thank you and keep up the fantastic work!

Lacking.

Lacking.

The amenities and front desk are sub-par to a normal Hilton. The rooms are good/clean however.

Don't leave anything in your hotel room, housekeeping will steal it. I have called them about 7 times now and am always promised a "call back" and they never do (if they answer the phone). Disappointing, I lost a $300 tailored blazer (unless someone was my exact size.. I don't understand why they wouldn't return it).

Update:
Their GM has pointed me in the direction of their Housekeeping Manager, who I have talked to before (and didn't called me back the first 2 times). I don't expect reaching out this 3rd time will be an improvement or resolve anything.

Nice hotel with a parking lot off the back of the hotel. I would suggest if you get in late and leave early you find out what the parking garage rate will be. I think we were charged $19 for an $8 worth of parking time.

Checked in at 4:15 or so. Hallway in front of our room piled with a dozen or more dirty linens we had to manouver around. Multiple such piles up and down the hallway. Strands of torn toilet tissue littering the floor. Disgusting. Reported, twice to front desk, was told "we have 7 housekeepers, they're very busy." Don't know what that means? Two hours later the stuff is STILL on the floor.
