The banquet rooms were beautiful, the staff was attentive and friendly, and the catered meal was delicious and fresh. The hotel is right downtown within walking distance (2 blocks exactly) of public parking, restaurants, and the convention center. There's even an entrance to the hotel in the parking garage.

i stay at this hotel frequently and overall it is a nice hotel with walking distance to downtown and USC. The rooms in this hotel though need updating. If you are paying over $300 a night to stay here then the hotel rooms need to be more than average and not updated in years. The shower no hot water, no pressure, wouldn't drain and transpire because its old and maintenance is lacking. I stayed in the same room back in the fall and the exact shower did the same thing....so one it wasn't fixed or two it was but the maintenance doesn't last and needs replacing. I could honestly be happy if I'm paying 150.00 or less but when I'm paying close to $350 for one night in a outdated room it doesn't sit well with me. Especially when I tried to check in and am a diamond member and my room is not ready until 4 o'clock on the dot.

I recently spent the weekend here and you can t beat the location. It s also walking distance to just about anything and if you need a cab the hotel will have one on standby. The rooms are extra comfy and spacious. It was just what I was needing.

After dropping off a close friend of mine from out...

After dropping off a close friend of mine from out of state I came to the host stand looking for directions to the the parking garage. Upon arrival there was no one at the stand and once I finally found someone (ignoring the front desk taking a leave away from it) I was SUFFICIENTLY cursed out by the desk operator. This was before I was able to even attempt to mention or reference the help I needed. Based off of my personal experience and the verbal attack I was subjected to I wish I could give this establishment a negative score. If it was at all possible I would rate it a negative 5 star... 3/30/2021

Always enjoy staying here ... especially on St Pat...

Always enjoy staying here ... especially on St Patty's Day. Ball games. Special occasions. Just for kicks when the wife wants to get out of the house for a weekend. Great staff, great service, within walking distance of The Vista and all of our favorite bars and restaurants. I mean, what's not to like. They known us by name here and we like staying here as regulars. Highly recommended. One of the best Hilton's ... and we've stayed in them from Rome to Paris to NYC and everywhere in between. Five stars ... and I wish I could give them more.

large rooms - improved bathrooms since last time. ...

large rooms - improved bathrooms since last time. good fitness studio. always coffee and tea in lobby area. However, staff at times very inattentive and inflexible. For example, had to ask 2 times for butter just for them to bring me vegetable spread. Furthermore, you cannot open your room's windows - so rooms will always be a bit smelly and too airconditioned.

I accidentally left my shirts and jacket hanging i...

I accidentally left my shirts and jacket hanging in room 210 on 12 Sept. I call the hotel later that evening and the night clerk to me to call back in the morning. I called on 13 Sept and the day clerk said she would check with cleaning staff. I call back later and the clerk stated that the cleaning staff checked the room and there was not shirts in the room. I can describe my shirts and jacket to detail and I know I did not travel with one shirt for a four day trip. This is my first dishonest and bad experience with the Hilton chain of hotels in my history.

Great hotel in the center of the downtown area. Beautiful lobby, excellent staff. Great ambiance. Staff was very accomodating. Valet was easy, but a bit pricey at $24. Also, was here during the NCAA games and there was about 8 different line items for taxes- seemed a bit overkill to me. There is usually 4 at the most. Would recommend staying based on location and services levels.

Only good thing was my Room was clean and comfortable and that's where it ended. Hot water broke, so only had a ice cold shower and some of our other co workers didn't even have water to take a shower. Asked for a blanket, was brought a coverlet. Went to Ruth Chris in Lobby for breakfast. Very dissapointing! Powdered eggs and had to wait for buffet trays to be filled. Food was awful and not worth it. Very displeased with stay.

I made reservations for this hotel 5 months ago to attend an event at Colonial Life arena. I particularly wanted to stay here due to the fact it was within walking distance to the arena. Well much to my surprise I arrived and my reservations had been canceled. They tried to notify me within a couple of hours of check in time!!! Too late! I was already on the road by then! Never been treated so poorly by any business!! I almost lost $250 worth of tickets on this trip, not to mention 2 days vacation time, boarding at my Vet for my 4 animals, and much aggravation and stress!!! I'll never, ever stay in a Hilton or make reservations with one again!! And that goes for business travel too!!

I can't speak on experience as far as an overnight...

I can't speak on experience as far as an overnight guest, but I can speak on my experiences as a former employee who use to work at Hilton Columbia Center. They gossip, talk about each other and on payday Cris Pringle who does the hiring is nowhere to be founded so that you can get your paycheck. Cris Pringle gives those she's on good terms with and favor their paychecks and have those she has an issue with waiting which is very rude, disrespectful, unappreciative for all the work employees have done. I understand I have not been coming in as scheduled, but when I have called and been transferred over to Cris Pringle's office it goes to her voicemail or her mailbox is full. Though Cris Pringle may have been busy during pick up paycheck time, still it is only within rights to either give someone the authorization to get into her office to give out paychecks to employees and former employees. I chose to quit not because I did not want to do my job, cause I have been working beyond my expectations. I quit cause I did not want to be involved in the drama I sensed and had the foresight to see that was gonna unravel. For Cris Pringle to not have respectively stopped for a moment so that her employees get their paychecks so that they can go about taking care of their payments that maybe due if not overdue. It goes to say as well as show employees and former employees that what we have to take care of can wait as long as Cris Pringle chose to take prior to finally giving employees their paychecks. I suggest Cris Pringle resign because the results are continuing to keep on happening; existing. It's just never letting up. Cris Pringle had wrote me up for a job I know I took care of and sarcastically spoke to me over the phone as if I was someone in her book was a nobody to regard as such and treat with respect and dignity. I felt very violated.

A Disorganized organization, No sense of responsibility for a "customers luggage" checked 1 (one) item, Bag to be placed in the Room, Arrived 430ish pm, "Yes sir" Your luggage IS in your room, Arrive & nothing in the room, longer story ... was given to another customer, when finally Found
Checked ONE piece of luggage, Was Handed Three, mine and two other customers
IF You attach a Claim ticket to the "customers luggage" Match up to the RIGHT "Customers" & Proper Room.....
The True meaning of "Customer service" IS being lost!!.... $175.a night, mini fridge Not working.. beginning to think Eventually the Hilton Company would be Happy to rent a Room to 2 sets of "Customers" in a 24hr period ... in the room, 445pm, check Out set at 11am and At 445, People at check in being told, We're Still Cleaning rooms.....poor

There are Many other Quality Hotels in the area, I Don't recommend This Hilton, to be a First choice.....

Smelled cigarette smoke all day and night, like someone was in the room with me smoking. Called front desk 3 times about it and it continued. Called an scheduled a room cleaning the next day at ten which they said would be done. Left my room the next day so it could be done and came back after two hours and it had not been done. When I called to ask when they would be doing it they said it would be done when they got to it and I would have to leave my room again at that time.

I chose this hotel because of how close it was to a lot of places! The parking prices were fine. Their bellman told us how to park on the second floor of the garage to get direct access to the front lobby. The check in was completely smooth. The pictures on the website didn t do this room any justice bc the room was completely remodeled and that was awesome! Awesome amenities and view from the eighth floor. We were able to get a late checkout. Amy was so awesome at the checkout. I will be visiting again soon.

I visited the hotel is part of an election night event. The atmosphere was great as was the service. Drinks were fairly expensive, but the catering provided was free to attendees and pretty spectacular. The parking garage next door has access directly into the building which is also very convenient.

Being a diamond member with Hilton for the past 4 ...

Being a diamond member with Hilton for the past 4 +years has me spoiled! But this location is absolutely the best location I ve stayed at! They upgraded me, plus the front counter lady at check in had an amazing smile! The room is super clean and the mirror in the bathroom is super magnified! Also the location being within walking distance of so many shops, restaurants, and historical sites makes this place a wonderful escape! The valet was so attentive to getting my luggage and opened the door for me as soon as I pulled in! Ruth Chris is right off the lobby which makes this all around a great getaway!

Hotel stay was beautiful, but housekeeping comes too early. Woke me up @ 8:45, didn't give me a chance to respond to her knock, and she just proceeded to come in. Very rude! They should not come before 9.

I expect more from a Hilton. The A/C is old and will stay on the entire time, no thermostat that turns it off when the desired temperature has been reached. And Wi-Fi reception, even in a room close to the elevator/middle of the floor is weak. Things I would expect from a cheap brand, but not Hilton.

This is my family's and I home away from home when...

This is my family's and I home away from home when we are in Columbia. Even as the front desk staff changes they seem to understand who to hire. The housekeeping staff has been phenomenal and last but not least the staff at Ruth Chris. Everyone contributes flawlessly. So when I'm in the area no matter if I'm booking on points or having to pay a little higher than the other hotels in the area it's WORTH it.
Try it for yourself, you won't regret it!
