We predominantly stay at Hilton Hotels wherever we travel as most have a very high customer service standard. On a recent trip to Houston for an event at the Toyota Center, we stayed at the Hilton Americas-Houston and to quote my 8 year old son this hotel ranks an 11 on a scale of 1 to 10 . Our room was on the 19th floor executive level overlooking Discovery Green and it was magnificent!!! This particular floor was recently upgraded and was spectacular. The access to the executive lounge and outdoor courtyard on the 24th floor is very nice. The executive lounge has phenomenal views, great snacks and drinks, and just a relaxing place to take a break. I could write more but don t have the time so I ll just close with saying this is one of the best, if not the best hotel to stay at in downtown Houston, especially if your going to an Astros game or event at the Toyota Center.

Very beautiful with soft lighting and open style bar in lobby. Fresh scented lobby at all times. Computers and WiFi free to use. Chihuly glass fixtures throughout lobby. Staff extremely nice. Go for the all you can eat breakfast buffet when you check in ($15 for each day) and it s delicious (must do this at check in). They give you vouchers to pay. You provide tip. The rooms were clean and spacious as well as quiet. Very big hotel separated into two towers. It connects to a bridge that leads into the convention center so you never have to go outside unless desired. I would stay here next time in Houston. Great views.

Nice rooms and staff, and it's connected to the convention center. Our bellhop was super friendly and gave us a nice tour of the room and hotel. The restaurant downstairs has a gluten free menu, and the manager came out to discuss my special dietary needs for breakfast. There's also a bar and Pappasitos, but we didn't go there. My only negative experience was that the hotel would not store my cold food for me after check out, until my conference was over. I have my own food because of food allergies (I lucked out with the omelet, but didn't plan to eat at restaurants). Other hotels I've visited have stored it in a cooler for me, so I expected that from this one. However, they did give me a complimentary late check out and extra bags for ice.

Room was pretty clean except windows had hand prints still on them. My colleague still had food in his refrigerator from a prior guest and the bottle of water was half drank. The staff did do a good job making up for it though.

Wonderful hotel. A few hiccups but addressed swiftly and then no other incidences.
At the morning events, conference services made a point to having a hands in approach to my dietary needs. Well done.

Convenience is not the keyword here. It s an amazing hotel with various amenities and services but getting here is not the easiest. They do make up for it by being in a very close distance to various important locations such as George r Brown, discovery green, and various restaurants

There's nothing we didn't love about this place. Tried the executive level one night (before we switched to a 'regular' room) and it was so worth it, with the fantastic hors d'oeuvres that was enough for dinner for me, and an amazing continental breakfast. I would love to stay here again! The views are wonderful from almost any room, the indoor upper level pool was so wonderful, as was the large Jacuzzi hot tub. Very nice exercise room and spa as well. Nice location and my daughter really enjoyed herself.

Stayed here in July of 2018. The executive lounge is fantastic. Plenty of choices on the breakfast bar as well as good selection of evening snacks. One of my favorite things about the executive lounge is the cappucino/latte machine.
I also had great service from the hotel staff. I somehow latched the door behind me and it was almost time for me to leave and catch my plane. The staff worked quickly to get me back in my room so I could get my luggage.

Top notch hotel, but falls short on a few things for a place of its status...

My family had a wonderful time staying at the Americas-Hilton in downtown Houston. Centrally located in the heart of downtown, it made it very easy for us to attend the convention next door and walk around the city. Our first class room was fully stocked with amenities and the cleaning crews diligently made sure the room looked the way it did when we first arrived. Staff were kind enough to combine two separate bookings into one reservation to avoid us having to check-out/check-in again during our stay.

The only two downsides were that due to remodeling they did not have complimentary breakfast available (only the $20 breakfast buffet, even though budget motels will at least offer free cold continental breakfast) -- and when I was chasing my daughter around the hotel room, there were nooks and crannies in the room that did not get a proper vacuuming/dusting in a long time.
