Unfortunate decline of what was once a great family-owned business. The Hillis family should never have passed the business on.
The two reviews listed by David Kelly, the current Dealer Owner and Eric Bruce, another staff member, are clear efforts to lure in online car buyers to the terrible business. This is a failing dealership content on defending it's mistakes and turning the faults on their own customers.
Many staff will flag you as a 'non-buyer' as their 'seasoned dealership experience' proves they can make that assessment with but a glance.
I highly recommend visiting other dealerships within Wagga Wagga or driving to nearby Albury if you plan on being treated in a fair manner and purchasing a reliable vehicle, particularly if purchasing a second hand vehicle.

I recently Purchased a second hand vehicle from Hillis Motor Group.
My whole experience was very good indeed!
Steve King was the gentleman I first had phone contact with, and was impressed with the ease of the conversation.
The next morning I went in to meet with Steve and have a look at a car that we had talked about on the phone the previous afternoon.
Long story short, I puchased the said vehicle, a 2016 Nissan Altima, and very happy with it.
Would highly recommend Steve King and lovely Nicole.

Try to rip you off everytime you go for service .
They want money for air conditioner gas re fill under warranty. Evan there was no leak .So it was not my fault.
Complaint about it and lady from head office told me flat 'what you want?' Told her that if I can spend 40000 dollars on car I can also pay for gas recharge so doesn't want money.
I was just giving feedback. Didn't even get a apologizes from them.

I am very happy with the service from the spare parts dept. As I'm disabled they were more than happy to fit the exhaust rubber to my falcon for free. It's nice when you get some help when you can't do it yourself

BEWARE. No quality check after service .Don't giv...

BEWARE. No quality check after service .Don't give your valuable vehicle for service to these XXX.They are not professional to troubleshoot any major problem.Their attitude is to wright off all non warranty vehicle.

Check your vehicle care fully after any service and make sure it is in the same shape and no damage. Mine they damage the wind screen..

I won't buy a ford car or I won't approach hillis for any service .

I would like to thank the service team at Hillis Ford.
Always remember driving past in the 70s with Dad in a Falcon looking at the new Ones out the front.
Fast-Ford to these days and sometimes I wonder about the service we might receive from any company.
On the 4 Dec 20. Travelling to Wagga in my Falcon I had warnings on my console (Charge Fail) several times so I decided to stop at Hillis Ford to have it checked within 10 minutes of been there they had it in the workshop to check the electrics and found faulty alternator, and battery that I new was getting old. They gave quote on new one, but had none in stock could order in.
This is Friday near lunchtime I needed to travel back to Sydney by Monday, with Electrics fault.
I asked if they could help me out. They rang around and found a new aftermarket one had someone go and pick it up from the supplier. Also they offered to take me to where I needed to go in Wagga in which I took the offer.
They fixed the car, rang me to let me know and came to pick me up to take me back to dealership.
This is Friday afternoon at 5.00. Good O-F Service.

Won't be getting my car serviced at Hillis, ever a...

Won't be getting my car serviced at Hillis, ever again. It took them 2 weeks and $800 to do a regular 24k service. Drove it home and nearly passed out from the smell of burning oil. Took the car back and was told "sorry, we spilled some oil in the engine bay". And CHARGED ME ANOTHER $200 to tell me that.

Now, nearly a month later, my car STILL stinks of burning oil every time I drive it. So no, I won't be going there again in a hurry.

UPDATE 19 October 2017:

After seeing this and other social media posts I was asked if I would take the car back to Hillis for an attempt at fixing the previous problems. I am pleased to report that THIS TIME the car has been serviced PERFECTLY. It is like having a new car so I am now much happier than I was.

Will I go there again? Still thinking about that!

Very unhappy with hillis ford. I have been a loyal customer since buying my first car there i currently have a 2015 ford ranger which i had in getting some warrenty checks done the ute had been there all week which i picked up friday only to find that a can of coke had exploded inside covering the roof seats and parts of the dash the people working on the car left the can in my car and didnt even think to try and clean it up i now have a button in my car that doesnt work properly and a big stain on the roof lining of my car. Not only this but the service advisers and the service manager need to brush up on their customer service. i will never take my car back to this dealership i will take ot to other ford dealerships

Had my car serviced on and off here. Mixed experiences. Personally, have ran into car troubles only weeks after service with these guys more than once, leaving me to wonder what they did to my car? Also pricing for simple service seems out of proportion when compared to other ford dealers for the same car. Customer service isn't great. Forgotten focus of the customers.

Went in to get tyres replaced on my old Corolla, came back to find that they had also cleaned my car and vacuumed the footwells! Staff were friendly, I was even offered to be dropped off/picked up from home during the tyre change. Very happy with my experience.

Well done to Daniel and the team at Hillis Motor group.
My new Ranger is with out doubt the best Ute i have ever owned and could not be happier.

The Buying experience was so seamless and personal it felt like i had known Daniel for years.

My review is lenghty please take a minute to read.
I reside on the Mid North Coast of New South Wales. Mid January 2020 I contacted my local Ford Dealer. I wanted to purchase a 2020 Ford Ranger Wildtrak. After intial contact my inquiries were not followed up by my local dealer. I contacted several Regional Ford Dealers on the internet. Within half an hour I received a phone call from Phillip P. a Sales Consultant at Hillis Motor Group. After a phone conversation I was invited to take numerous photos of my 2015 Wildtrak and email them to Hillis Motor Group. Within three hours I recieved a comprehensive quote on a 2020 Ranger Wildtrak. I was happy with the trade in offer and the change over price on a 2020 Ranger Wildtrak. There was no pressure or hard sell to buy. I placed a token $500 deposit and my order for a 2020 Wildtrak was placed with Ford. I picked the engine, transmission and colour. I recieved a call mid March and after driving a 1,000 ks from my home I took delivery of my new 2020 Ford Ranger Wildtrak Friday 20 March 2020. More than happy with Hillis Motor Group. My local Ford Dealer missed out on a guaranteed cash sale. Hillis Motor Group are the winners.
UPDATE: July 2020 returned to Hillis Ford for the post sale complimentary peace of mind vehicle inspection. My vehicle was booked in at 3pm. The Service Department were great. The inspection was completed whilst I waited in the lounge area. It was completed within a hour. Later I recieved a sms with a video link pertaining to my vehicles inspection. Happy customer.

I just had my car serviced today we bought a year ago,i have to say it was a great experience, i have not been able to get around well because of a fall, and they were so good to both myself and my husband, the sales man we had Steve Houghton, was great to deal with no pressure ,and today the people in the service department were just as good , so i would recommend to deal with any car you purchase, from ther you won't be disappointed Thank You Tracy Dumbbell to you and the team for today for being so being so lovely

As like most Ford dealerships, the service is hope...

As like most Ford dealerships, the service is hopeless after 3 trips to have a clutch fixed the first being an investigatory then took 2 full days to replace after the parts weren t even ordered. Hopeless. Lack of ability to schedule time to complete. And now ya to ensure the vehicle is completed within required time frames.

Was lucky enough to be able to purchase a new FX4. Unbelievable ute, stoked with it. The hillis group were great and so easy to deal with!
Big thanks to Phil, Peter and Nicole for making it happen. Could not fault there professionalism.
