I give one star only because there isn t an option to give less. My wife and I have been going there every week for over 2 years to visit a friend of ours. I think there are staff members who care but most clearly don t. I also think they are understaffed. The final straw that lead to this review is 3 days ago we opened a dresser drawer and it was infested with ants nesting, hundreds of them. When we complained to the supervisor she assured us it would be handled the next morning. We brought back all the clothing we washed three days later and they had done nothing about the infestation of ants. I complained again to another supervisor, she assured us they would handle it we waited about 1/2 hour and some staff members came in and started to disturb the nest in the room so when I told them to remove the dresser to outside and clean it out of the patients room so as not to scatter the nest in the room we got an uncooperative attitude. We just wish the staff would treat our friend the way they would want to be treated if they were ever in that situation.

My dad stayed here after a surgery. He had dementia. The nurses complained to my mother about him wandering into other people's rooms. They did nothing. They put a catheter in him so they wouldn't have to deal with him wetting the bed. He pulled it out, causing infection and leading to his death. I wish he had come home instead so he could have been with people who cared about him, and maybe we could have had a few more months with him

If I could do zero stars I would. My brother was here for too long. He s young and there are not a lot of options when you are young with a TBI. My blessing is that COVID got him out of there and the Brain Injury Alliance opened up other options for us. This place is THE WORST. He was there for 7 years and the only way we survived was by visiting every single day to follow up with his care. Management is horribly unorganized. The center is always understaffed though somehow meets guidelines on paper. There are a handful of wonderful nurses and CNAs but the ones that care are over worked and under appreciated. The place is dirty, the rooms are old and patients are neglected. The therapy staff is wonderful but they are limited in what they can do. The administrator is very kind, but the director of Nursing had a terrible attitude. At the beginning of the pandemic, they had a major covid breakout and didn t inform families, some until it was too late. I know from experience that sometimes you don t have other options, but If you send a loved one here, please follow up constantly...I ve seen so many horrible things here and you have to be diligent in a place like this to keep your loved ones safe.

Side note....they NEVER answer the phone at the nursing stations. You can only ever get reception during business hours. Not even our doctors could get through half of the time and sometimes it was a critical medication message needing to be communicated. How does a health care facility ignore phone calls?
