The standard of care here is terrible. Services requested by the doctor were not rendered by the nursing staff, and nurses would ignore the patient s family when asked questions (they would pretend not to hear you and walk away). Do NOT bring anyone you care about here. The nurses/aides will leave them in the bed, and let them languish.

There attitude stucks, sorry but no better way to put it. No respect for the in pain and needing some comfort. I'm taking my bill from the ER and talk to someone. Who gives a dam mm. About people.
Just had my baby and the nurse Michele B. In the baby ward is just amazing and fantastic! I had my daughter here in 2016 and it's been like night and day. The nurses from then acted like total jerks and refused to even speak with my dr about pain management for my section pain. The only problem i had this time was I asked the anesthesiologist to please give me medicine for my anxiety so I didn't have a panic attack he swore up and down I could but him in the nurse refused even tried to force the spinal on me without the medicine I ended up freaking out and having to have general anesthesia and missing my son's birth. Other then that this hospital is trying to do a turn around for the better!!
Only positive thing I gotta say is Dr. Clark is awesome. But some of these nurses in the main ward are a bunch of cheapskates. They jiffed my buddy out of his tip after delivering food for like 5 of them. If that s how they treat people handling the food they ve ordered how do you think they are caring for your loved ones or you? I hope someone does something to their food next time they order. At least have the decency to tell the guy you don t have his money.
Came to bring my father in that was wheezing and couldnt breath right. The lady at the front made my mother go out to the car to get my father's i.d just to verify an address and before she would put his bracelet on him. When we go to the back, my mother and my kids had stayed at the waiting area because they would only allow me to go with him (My mother and father don't speak English) so I had to interpret for him. Asked to bring my mother with kids to the back with us and girl said it was fine. Long story short, anither lady came in to sign to tell is only 2 ppl were allow in each room and some one had to go. Told them I had to stay cus i was interpreting, my mother had to stay cus she knew my father's medical history more than i did and my kids couldn't b out in the waiting are alone. I was calm this whole time yet they called security on me. My kids said they would leave. This hospital is ridiculous and I will never come here ever again. I would take my father and leave but he's on breathing treatment now so not possible. I'll stick to providence from now on
WARNING: Waited patiently to speak with the receptionist in the emergency Dept. to check wait times if my daughter would be seen quicker at this hospital rather than Providence.(due to the urgency I felt) The receptionist interrupted her own conversation and upon asking how many people were currently waiting between the divided waiting rooms, I was met with hostility and told "just a few. U need to just sign in and wait like everyone else" with a snotty disrespectful attitude. I told her she had no reason to speak to me that way and I would like her employee number or name to file a complaint. She then refused to provide that and said "do you want your child seen or not?" Security then came out and I told them I was requesting her information and she was refusing to provide it. The receptionist then rolled her eyes and told me I needed to just sign in at which point I decided I seen enough to know how their treatment of patients were going to be and would take my 10yo daughter elsewhere. This hospital used to be top of the line treatment. Has became trash over the past few years especially! I wouldn't recommend this hospital to anyone! Providence hospital is 5minutes up the road and much more caring and professional at what they do.
I have always been a fan of hillcrest until now when I was pregnant I went to the er & not only did the Dr not know anything he tried to give me medication that your not supposed to take when pregnant. Then during my stay for labor and delivery in admissions I was treated like a joke and my 4 day stay was not very pleasant but some of the nurses were awesome some not so much. Most of the Dr's should not even be Dr's I was just very disappointed.
