I have to see a female provider and Dr. Tantchou is the only female provider within 80 miles. She rejected my case because she didn t think she was a good fit for me, so now I m in a situation where I cannot be assessed for cancer or any other colon disease and I have no access to medical evaluation and treatment. As a physician she has violated her core ethical responsibility to first, do no harm .

The are outstanding, I went threw 6 chemo treatments and everyone was fantastic I can think of any bad experiences I had with them. Everything was on time and fast. Thanks again everyone over there you guys a the best !!!!

THE ACTUAL HEALTHCARE IS GREAT! Good people doing great work! It's the operation I have a problem with.

There is no way to call and leave a message with your doctor's office or for her nurses. You must leave a message with the operator and they pass it along to the office. My experience with that hasn't been too terrible.

What IS maddening is you CANNOT call and speak to a scheduler. The operator passes that request along too, and you may or may not hear back. You can't even count on having some appointments scheduled when you are present in the office! I am not sure why the departments can't coordinate better- I imagine it's like every department is it's own operation and the managers must protect their authority from incursions of the others. It wouldn't surprise me to learn this is true- get it together!

Lastly, the patient portal could be better. I have found no way to get a report that compares lab values over time, as in a table. That is one of the most beneficial reasons to HAVE the service. It would be good if that could be made available or perhaps change vendors. I have a patient portal with another health care organization with much more functionality.

My first appointment was 3 weeks ago. I had a 2:15 appointment, but arrived at 2:00. At 4:15 I d waited long enough and threatened to leave. I was put in a room immediately, followed by a quick 1-2 minute meeting with the doctor. Although, without the threat of leaving, I wouldn t have been seen at all!

Yesterday, I had post-op appointment at 1:30pm. This time I sat in the waiting room until 3:00pm. Again, I threatened to leave, but told I was the next patient to be called in. Over the next 20 minutes I watched 4 more patients get their name called. All these people arrived 1-2 hours after me! So, I left! In all, including travel time, I wasted more than 3 hours of my day.

I have no issues with any of the staff. All were kind and tried to be helpful. However, a great staff doesn t help when appointments aren t kept. I m extremely disappointed in HOG.

Also props to the cleaning staff. The restrooms are never unclean.

Apparently, because of Covid, they don't allow guests with patients. No one told me of this policy until I showed up with my baby when my babysitter was running very late. I would have left him at home if I could have but the only way I was going to be on time was to grab him and go. When I got there, I was not able to come in despite having driven over thirty minutes to get there. If you are going to have policies like this, please notify patients before their visit so that we know what to expect. I am sure I can find a different provider that respects my time as much as I try to respect theirs.
