THE ACTUAL HEALTHCARE IS GREAT! Good people doing great work! It's the operation I have a problem with.

There is no way to call and leave a message with your doctor's office or for her nurses. You must leave a message with the operator and they pass it along to the office. My experience with that hasn't been too terrible.

What IS maddening is you CANNOT call and speak to a scheduler. The operator passes that request along too, and you may or may not hear back. You can't even count on having some appointments scheduled when you are present in the office! I am not sure why the departments can't coordinate better- I imagine it's like every department is it's own operation and the managers must protect their authority from incursions of the others. It wouldn't surprise me to learn this is true- get it together!

Lastly, the patient portal could be better. I have found no way to get a report that compares lab values over time, as in a table. That is one of the most beneficial reasons to HAVE the service. It would be good if that could be made available or perhaps change vendors. I have a patient portal with another health care organization with much more functionality.

UPDATE: seems like some good updates going on and better connumication
