Such a great coffee shop for Lemont! The coffee is amazing. Everything is super fresh and very good! The variety of different drinks and pastries are awesome! Deanna the owner is super friendly and very passionate about her coffee! Inside is very relaxed and set up perfectly! Higher Grounds is exactly what downtown Lemont needed! I know I will make it a point to get my coffee from here and to support local business!

Glad to see this Independent coffee house open in Lemont, IL. The atmosphere is inviting with a variety of comfortable seating choices... couches, overstuffed chairs, tables, counter looking out the front window. A bit cavernous of a space, but the owner is actively growing the decor such as an artisan wall. I really liked the cold brew and hope they expand their roaster suppliers as they grow. Glad to see they offer gluten free options. Owner Deanna is very friendly and engaging.

We love Higher Grounds! There are so many different flavors and combinations to choose to add to your coffee. If you don't like flavors, their plain coffee is amazing as well. We also love how they have a variety of non-dairy milk options. Higher grounds has a great atmosphere and the staff is the best!

This is the go-to place in lemont for GLUTEN FREE baked goods. Great place to go for peace and quiet. Delicious coffee, tea, and baked goods. Friendly owner. You gotta come try this place.

I ve made this place a frequent weekend stop with my roommate over the past few months. The cold brew is insanely flavored.. just black cold brew is incredible. Everyone is very friendly and the atmosphere is great.

Overall, I would definitely go back to this place for coffee. The prices are fair and I love the environment. I went in the past to either do homework (they have free WiFi!) or play board/card games with friends because they have a lot. I take off one star though because the hours are super inconvenient (most of the time they close when I m still in school at 2pm) and some of the coffees are a little too sweet for my taste.

First of all, the shop location is great and the atmosphere is very warm and inviting. I really wanted to love the coffee but unfortunately I didn't...I ordered a mocha and almond joy and both coffees were way too sweet with very little coffee flavor at all. Also, neither one of them were hot...just barely warm. Hopefully, you are still trying to work out the kinks since you are newly opened and I will be willing to give you another try.

Great coffee and good selection of baked goods. Very nicely and quirky decorated and welcoming. Prices are average. I had the americano and my wife had the Dove latte. Both were really good. The building is right in front of train tracks which I think is neat. We were able to feel, see, and hear the rush of a train whooshing by.

I popped in here due to a misunderstanding, but I fell in love with the place. This is *such* a cute little coffee shop. It's chock full of comfy chairs to read in and little tables to work at - perfect for being alone or with a friend. I only got a bottle of water, but there's a great selection of coffee. The owner is also friendly as can be. In short, I'll be going there to spend some real time, and I heartily recommend that everyone who enjoys small coffee shops does the same.

Trendy but not forced decor, calm and inviting atmosphere, and best of all - great coffee and food options. The gluten free carrot muffin and Lucky Horseshoe latte with coconut milk will officially designate this as my new morning stop.

Small out of the way little eclectic shop. The coffee is from Washington state... so i was told. " DCR coffee roasters ". This coffee is very, very good. The owner is a wonderful gal. Her shots of espresso are always on target. The coffee shop is about 10 miles from my house one way ... it is worth the drive ! Crazy hu? The shop hours are shorter than I would like ... but she, the owner, knows something I dont. Imagine? She, the owner is very gracious. I purchased a bag of :DCR dark roast" ... took it home, sounds like a date hu, and was not disappointed. Really! It is worth the ride and time to check it out.

Great new coffee shop in town. I have been waiting for a local coffee place and I have been here several times since they opened. Coffee is really good. My husband worked for starbucks and is picky about his coffee and he gave this coffee the thumbs up. Pastry case is lacking something. I know they aren't super busy and don't keep it stocked with a ton of pastries, but the emptiness gives the impression that they are the "leftovers" or something. I know this is not the case but it just needs something. Maybe a smaller display case? The atmosphere is cozy but also feels a bit empty. I think they just need to throw a few more pictures on the walls. Service has always been fast but I have visited at off peak times like 10 am and 1 pm. Usually only one or two people working so I can see that service might get a little slower during the rush.

Finally a non-franchise coffee shop in Lemont! Excellent coffee, a solid tea selection, and the baked goods are superb. The blueberry muffins are exceptional. They host plenty of fun events too.

I can only speak about the coffee, but it tastes great. It s not too roasted and has a lower bitterness unlike corporate chains. Nice ambiance, I think this is a new reading and studying location.
