Another local speciality by Castelo group, and sister restaurant of Jaspa's. Very similar menu with focus on popular international dishes like pasta, burger, pizzas, and a touch of Middle Eastern items as well. Set lunch is a good deal but dinner is more pricey. Interior is rustic and spacious, great for groups and families.

Worst experience we had for Our first brunch in 2020 . We brought along our Maltese looking for a family lunch and we were not told dogs are not allowed on sofas outside the restaurant . A manager came to us claiming that a guest complaint that we had dogs on sofa and dogs should be on the floor . What s wrong with a tiny dog (less than 2kgs) on sofa ? We ordered the brunch platter , an orange juice and breakfast tea and paid almost hkd 500 for cold food . The smoked salmon was horrid. Not worth the visit and we will never come back again mainly because of the manager s attitude

Excellent food, would come again.

Excellent food, would come again.

Didn't take long for ordered food to arrive, they also offer a range of cocktails and drinks.

Staff were friendly and helpful 10/10 service.

Just a tad too dim the lighting could be improved but overall a good experience

We ve been here several times now - twice as a couple and on a few occasions with big groups - and I can t ever say I ve left High Street Grill feeling like it was money well spent.

The food menu is pretty substantial and for that I ll give them credit. For such a large menu, the food tastes decent.

However, considering the competitiveness of High Street, the Grill doesn t do much to make me want to come back. Its drinks menu is average, especially the Happy Hour selection, and the food is just too average for what you re asked to pay. The atmosphere also isn t much to write home about.

Unless you need a space that will hold a lot of people, check out somewhere else on High Street.

A good and firm favourite after a few visits - friendly staff that greet your entrance as soon as they spot you. Attentive and speedy service, huge portions and nice relaxed ambience. Left feeling well looked after and enjoyed this eatery very much indeed.

We ordered two salads from the "specials" menu which looked great in the picture but turned out to be a major disappointment.

Firstly, the salads were >90% lettuce which isn't really acceptable for a $138+ salad. The "goat's cheese and quinoa" salad contained two tiny teaspoons worth of cheese and not much more quinoa sitting on a giant bed of lettuce. The sashimi and avocado salad was better proportioned but only just. When we asked the manager if she thought this was acceptable she offered a replacement salad which was slightly more acceptable but still piled high with leaves.

This is actually the second sub-par experience I've had here, hence the review, and it seems at odds with the Wagyu chain of restaurants in HK. Very disappointing.

Broken glass in food! Shards of glass in my sauce which I ate. Then cut my finger taking glass from my tooth.

The manager took the plate away and advised they found glass in sauce. They simply offered me a new dish!

This is diabolical and highly dangerous. Do not eat here. Especially if you have children.

Food: Wide selection of brunch/breakfast style plates. However, not all are good choices! The big breakfast platter is a good safe choice. Juices/smoothies and desserts miss the mark in terms of flavor. Hot dishes are tasty though, cold dishes, not so much.

Location: 5-10 min walk from the Sai Ying Pun MTR station.

Key Takeaway: If you're into comfortable Western brunch/lunch place on a lazy weekend, this is where you should go!

This place used to be good but hadn't been for a while and went Sunday evening. The place was pretty rammed but hardly any waiting staff so service was slow and communicating with waiting staff, not the easiest. Most disappointing was that their extensive menu of all sorts of cuisine, doesn't tell you what the options are for veg, vegan or gluten free so people with specific diets have to go through the whole menu and then check with the waiters, which isn't easy. There should at the least be a key indicating the different options. Expensive for what you get.

A rather disappointing visit.

A rather disappointing visit.

Pros

Comprehensive menu
The two fish dishes ordered were well cooked.

Cons

A long wait (over 35 minutes) at a time when it seemed most other diners were already eating.
One of the dishes was hot, whilst the other was served luke warm.
The hot fish dish had not been thoroughly pin boned.
The luke warm dish, in comparison to my friends food, had a scant amount of accompanying vegetables.
Due to the small portion, a dessert was ordered - ice cream chimichangas, described as flour tortillas, filled with ice cream, shallow fried and rolled in cinnamon sugar. Any dish that is described as shallow fried I would expect to be hot on the outside. These had obviously been stored in the freezer, and could not have been fried with the ice cream in the tortilla as both ends were open - the ice cream would have escaped as soon as it neared the hot oil. To cap it all, as these had not been freshly prepared I was puzzled as to why I waited 15 minutes for them to arrive.

Disgusting and horrible restaurant. Rude waitress screamed at my face when I took my mum there for lunch and handed me the bill without apologising. Management was useless, never going there ever again.

Guys, don't go anywhere that has less than 4 stars. 4 is basically average. There is grade inflation on the web!! We didn't check reviews and went on an impulse. Big mistake. My steak and egg was not great. Steak was over cooked (medium well instead of medium rare). And the steak was tiny (not anything near 8oz more like 4oz, see picture). My date ordered a chicken burger which came after 45 mins and they so forgot the fries. OK foods were 3 stars and service was 1 star and I rounded up 2.5 to 3 stars. Basically, skip it!

I have read many praises and recommendations, and I expected too much maybe. However, to tell the truth, this restaurant was not as good as expected. Still this is a decent restaurant, and could be a good option for brunch in this area. Perhaps, I chose wrong dishes. I would not mind trying again next time.

We regularly order deliveroo (delivery) from this place. Last night the Moo Cha Cha burger was fantastic! My boyfriend loves the veal schnitzel. Thank you also for the ice cream and the banana strawberry cake!

The mysterious high street hides a lot of good wil...

The mysterious high street hides a lot of good wild, this time I went to the high street. The reason for the High Street Grill is simple, because the biggest room in the high street is one, and the children are more suitable.
The amount of food is proportional to the price, which means that you are able to collect the same but return to the album. The taste is the same as the standard, and there is Happy Hour. The big cup Stella is only $40, and there are children's meals, menus, children have choices, and there are a lot of dishes in the room.
It s worth a few wilderness, it s worth mentioning the 8oz tenderloin. The outside of the Grill has a succulent succulent scent. Compared to the two streets, there is a lot of famous cows, and it s much better!
Finally, I sent two ice creams to the children, and the family was very happy!

Unfortunately the poor service lets this place down; for a table of 5, we got 3 meals first, although one was the wrong order, then the 4th meal came out 30mins later, but was incomplete. We gave up on the drinks order as half of it never made it to the table. The food itself was ok, but quite pricey for the quality.
