The owner and pharmacist, Joe, is an incredibly intelligent and compassionate individual who values his patients over profits. Hieber's is able to make all kinds of compounds for anyone who needs special administration of medication, whether it be an allergen-free formula or a topical formulation of an oral medication for those who can't swallow or get side effects from internal administration. Hiebers always finds a way to make it work!

I am a new mom to a sick kitten who requires a human medication to fight off a virus that is attacking her eyes and could potentially blind her. She couldn't keep the oral tablets down, so I reached out to Joe to make an oral solution using a fish based flavoring. He had never made this compound before, and consulted other pharmacists and experts to figure out the best way to make it. Unfortunately, it was still too bitter for her to keep down despite his best efforts. Joe immediately offered to make a topical cream that I rub inside her ear instead after consulting his experts again, and because his first compound didn't work for my cat, he gave me this new formula free of charge. Administration was a piece of cake! Without Joe's determination to make this medication work for my kitten, I wouldn't have been able to give her the care she deserves. He may have just saved my kitten's eyesight - but these miracles are all just part of a day's work for him.

Never coming back here again. They are extremely rude. A year ago the Pharmacist who is also the owner (Joe) said I could use my HSA card to pay for my cat's medication because it's a prescription medication. He said I could use it on any medication as long as it is a prescription medication. His exact words! I have been using the same method of payment for over a year. Now I go to pick up the medication and some tech questions it. I tell her I use it every time I come in to pick up the prescription medication. She was extremely rude but ended up using the card. Now the owner calls me and tells me I can no longer use the card even though he was the one who stood right there and told me I could use it. There are plenty of other compounding pharmacies that are closer and have better parking. Definitely will no longer use this place.

Impressive customer service they were very knowledgeable

Small drug store, but very nice selection of canes at a much lower price than chain drug stores. Also do custom formulations of prescription drugs from your own doctor. Friendly staff and helpfulness to find what you are looking for.

Prescription was 5 times the price,I paid previously at a different compound pharmacy and took 4 days till it was ready. I was informed beforehand but I was not happy with price.

I have walked by this pharmacy a dozen times and didn't realize it was there! Filled my first prescription there today and my experience was unlike any other I have had at local chain pharmacies. Joe, the pharmacist, was very helpful over the phone and via email. He was also very knowledgeable about the medication. The other staff there with whom I interacted were also really great. They are even going to ship the remainder of my prescription for free as they did not have enough supply to fill all of it at once.

Wonderful experience at Hieber's today. After calling every pharmacy in oakland trying to find empty gelatin capsules for pet medicine, Hieber's was truly helpful over the phone and in person. They answered all my questions and had a ton of staff on site. Thanks!

I have been using Hieber's Pharmacy since November 2019 and Rosemary and her staff are very Friendly. I find them to be very competent and they always get me what I need when I need it. I was actually transferred to Hieber's Pharmacy in October 2019 because the compounding pharmacy in New Brighton, Beaver County that I used for years had to close. Hieber's has exceeded my expectations. I get my compound medication that I need to avoid having surgery. I mean this stuff works!! I always have reservations whenever I have to change anything, but I don't have any doubt now that they will make my medication and get it mailed out to me on time!

I ve always had a good experience with Hiebers Pharmacy. They ve been very helpful when my prescription changed over the years. And prompt in mailing out refills. And recently replaced a script when I received it completely damaged. I truly appreciate them.

I have a compounding prescription filled here that I can't get anywhere else. The pharmacy is not prompt in filling it on a consistent basis. I fill the script 3 days early, as stated on their pill bottle. However, 3 or 4 times now, I have run out of the medication because they take so long to fill it. I always have to call and check where it is, at which time they tell me they will fill it that day. They never apologize or seem overly concerned in their extensive delays.

I used this pharmacy before approximately 3 years ago and never had an issue with them other than a serious lack of secure parking spaces. Recently, my PCP asked me to get him the specifications on a compounded prescription that I previously bought here. The staff technician said he would fax the info to my PCP's office but they never did. I called 3 times to get this simple task completed without success. The third try my PCP even waited after hours to see if the FAX came through. There are plenty of excellent compounding pharmacies with way better customer service. Why deal with one of Joe's cackling hyenas that cannot get even the simplest task done right.

I needed a back brace that CVS didn't carry. They were super helpful with selecting one for me, and helping me try them on. In fact, I'm wearing it as I write this. I'm so happy that this is my first review of anything!

From my early morning call asking if Hieber s Pharmacy could not only compound veterinary medicine but have it ready the same day ( which does not happen when requesting veterinary compounds) , I was met with courteous professionals who went over and above the call of duty to get my tiny rescue yorkie his anti-seizure medication. I was not a regular customer. This was a medication for a dog not a human. And I was asking for special treatment. Hieber s response to my request? We will have it ready today!! Thank you! You are definitely a patient first( even if the patient is a dog) caring team.

The professionalism, customer service and speedy delivery of the product made a positive shopping experience. My dog needed a special compound and there was absolutely no problem in preparing the order...even a choice of flavors in the dog treats! It was pleasure working with Rosemary and her staff.
