Used them for the past few years. Great price and service. Picked & delivered my riding mower.

Lance is rude, inconsiderate and has zero service skills. His drivers crossed double lines, carry full trailers at high rates of speed, and when you contact them to discuss these issues, he hangs up on you. Stay away from this business. They do not serve the community, only their own wallets.

Heed my Warning! This has to be the bottom the barrel place to take your equipment for repair. If for some reason you do go here, Get everything in writing before they touch your equipment. I was given a quote of $46 and was originally told my lawn mower might be fixed that very day. Only later to be told I needed an $8 part, and that, hopefully would arrive in 4 days. 14 days later I was told my equipment was fixed and SHOCKED when they told me it would cost $175. Lance denies giving me $46 quote. I said, Lance, you said I needed a gasket for $8, he said, yeah, plus there was a $7 delivery fee. They never mentioned that. I said, Lance, you said it was $39 labor, not $150. He said, I don't remember saying that. He then told me I was charged for a new spark plug and a wing number for the handle. I told him when I dropped it off, I just changed the spark plug 2 days earlier. I also never asked him to get me a new wing nut for the handle for $6. I had a bolt on there holding it fine.
I called 3 times to find out if my part was in, my grass is getting higher and higher and all they ever tell me is, I TOLD YOU BEFORE, parts come in every day, we don't know when your parts are coming, but when they do, we'll work on your mower. You can't get a tracking number? or call your Distributor?
After all that, I got home and started the mower and it runs like crap. I told him, why would someone agree to pay $175 to fix a push lawn mower, I could buy a new one.
Lance is very condescending and has NO people skills. Loves to say, "well what do you want me to do". I don't know, be an honest business man and charge an honest print. At this point, he charges more then my car mechanic and I take that to the dealership.

6/26/2015 - update. So when I got home, I started the Mower, ran it up and down the yard a few times and put it away. Yesterday, I tried mowing the yard and notice it was cutting weird. I started checking the tires only to see the front tire is almost completely broken off. NOT RUSTED, BROKEN. I took and picture and was hoping to post it here, but there is not an option. I know most people are thinking, take it back to hidden hollow. NO WAY. NEVER. I called John Deere and they are going to fix it right. I wish I had gone here first.

Have used them for tuneups, sharpenings and repairs for the last fifteen years...until now. My mower was returned today missing a part. I called and they said it must have been loose and blown off when they were bringing it back and that was it. No "I'm sorry" or "we can replace it" or offer for free pick up next time or partial refund. He did say "what do you want me to do?" I should have said, why don't you just come out and say that you don't want any more of my money ever again. Because that's what I heard.

Spent $150 on a tuneup on lawn mower.It was driving/Self propelled Ok when I brought it in.It was stalling but mowed my front yard that morning and the drive was working when brought it in. Brought it home it and would not drive. I brought it back and said it was driving fine when brought it in.Owner called me a liar twice. When he fixed it again wanted $60 more. Owner would not explain what he did to make it drive.Wouldn't you check everything before it leaves the shop .Stay away!! disputed my credit card.So you send a customer back home with a worn out belt that s 1 inch away from the blade that you replaced and did not run.Then you wanted another $60 for a 5.00 part .Check other post owner has called others liars! So over $210 to fix a clogged carburetor.

I was just called a liar by the old man because my Craftsman 6.5 self propelled lawnmower is not working. As though his declaration is the end all be all. I was charged 75.00 dollars for services rendered. The problem was that there was no services rendered at all. I simply want my money back. I been to their shop four different times. No telling how many times that I have called on the phone, pleading to make the necessary rapairs to my device. The young man claims that repairs were made. You would think that the unit would be fixed for the length of time that it's been at their shop. I am tired! Hidden Hollow has just stolen from me and none of your nonsensical gibberish or excuses can change that. In fact, change the rating to ZERO stars. If you are in search of professionalism and competency from a small business, Hidden Hollows IS NOT IT!

Lance and Justin saved me 40 dollars by getting me an air filter for my vintage 70s riding mower. Too cool. Nice guys.

They always do a great job with our riding mower & snowblower. Having the option for equipment pick-up from our home is great as well! Two days and both were back, tuned-up and ready to go.

Awesome service ! Had my snowblower fixed in about an hour. Just have to call them when you get there so they can write you up over the phone, so definitely covid safe. Highly recommend!

Would not recommend this small engine repair shop. Have botched two simple repairs on two separate machines spanning 10 years (recently tried them again).
Spoke with someone after-hours regarding the latest problem. Person on the phone directed me to bring the machine to them which I immediately did - weren t open and no one answered the phone this time.

I've taken 2 lawnmowers there for repair both times they were not fixed correctly. Over priced and not unreliable

My mower sat for 2 weeks at another mower shop and never even got looked at. Hidden hollow had me up and running in less than a day for a decent price. First mow of the season was fantastic! I would/will go back whenever I have anything I need fixed!

I took my Toro mower in on Saturday, it was ready to pickup on Tuesday. The repair (carb cleanout, tank cleanout) was done for the price quoted. The mower now runs fine, starts on the first pull. I'm pleased with the service. The individual with whom I spoke was courteous and knowledgeable.

Lance is the best. Trustworthy and knowledgeable - GREAT service! Lance came and picked up my rider, fixed a flat, tuned it up and brought it back in 24 hours. I'm now a loyal customer. And I'm tough - called around and the attitudes and prices were ridiculous. This guy is GOOD

Received my lawn mower, ran for 15 minutes and died again. They picked it back up in July I have left two messages every month sense. It is now May 1st and he finally got back to me telling me the electrical is shot. And said he could charge me to drop it back off at my house. Then when I asked about a refund for partial refund he said there's nothing he could do and hung up on me.

Had a snowblower serviced by these folks in early winter of 2020. They picked it up, diagnosed a carburetor problem and stated it would be $70 for the part and ~$60 for the labor. Snowblower has never run since, and runs worse than it did before they worked on it.

Despite quoting and invoicing a OEM part - they placed a non-certified cheap "universal" part is INCORRECT for this engine.

During installation they forgot to replace required gaskets. When I spoke with them they stated, "well if we'd forgotten that gasket it wouldn't run". Yes. Yes indeed. Exactly.

In the picture attached you can see the new gasket that I had to buy. You can also see the two screws indicating that it's not OEM or certified by the manufacturer - if it was, it would have a limiter cap. Also slightly hidden, the carburetor literally has a spring coming up out of it. No idea if it's also missing a screw but it's bizarre.

This blower's problems were diagnosed by a different repair shop as being an improperly sized carburetor (wrong main jet size).

Needless to say won't be returning. With the proper carb machine runs like a champ.

I have had several pieces of equipment serviced here and every time they were done quickly and at a much lower price than I was quoted elsewhere.

I have only positive things to say! We purchased a used zero turn John Deere tractor from Hidden Hollow after being recommended by a friend to check this business out in our search for a new riding mower. We were able to test it out to make sure I would be able to handle the machine, and we were offered a 30-day guarantee when we started mowing again in the spring. Came with a cover and a chute which were included as well. The tractor works well and we feel good about not paying an arm and a leg for a brand new machine and are happy to support a small local business! Come check them out, you won't be disappointed.

They were great -- picked up our snowblower, fixed it, and returned it, all for a reasonable price. I would recommend them.

100 % Satisfied. After another jshoptold me that it would cost $230.00 in addition to the $48.00 I paid in advance for repairs to my leaf blower. Hidden Hollow had no advance charge and repaired the leaf blower for $55.00. These guys know what they are doing, their quick to get the work done honest and very good rates. I recommend them.. you wont go wrong.

Hidden Hollow took $260 from me and I still don't have my lawnmower back working. They wanted about $110 for pick-up and carburetor tune-up. Told me I needed a new carb; I said OK. They dropped it off and didn't ring the bell. Told me they don't carry a credit machine on the delivery truck, so I had to pay they day before delivery. I couldn't get ride em' mower to start. They came out. He took it back. Now they say it needs a new Governor - major engine fix. I called and they told me they didn't do anything to it, like check fuel filter they put in, etc. Now they say I have to pay an additional $90 to get it back not working.
Deal with these guys at your own peril. BBB couldn't persuade them. Small claims court is next.

My wife purchased a mower for me for Father's Day that turned out to have a battery that was dying. After I charged it on two occasions and it would not hold a charge, my wife reached out to Lance, who graciously offered us another, more expensive mower, at no cost and delivered it 3 days earlier than expected. Great service. I would highly recommend this company

sketchy place, they had my mower for 2 weeks and when it was finally ready , I went to pick it up and the bag was missing, and they accused me of it never having a bag?

Transmission was working fine when i brought it in; not now.
They broke the blades bolts off- and I had already had them off last month to have the blade sharpened; no issue for me, but they broke them off-they turned them the wrong way... They then drill two new holes into the housing and re-bolt the blade off center and call it "replace blade bolts" $48.They left the stripped broken bolt right on the mower deck so very easy to see that instead of loosening it, they over tighten it to the point where the thread closest to the bolt head is stripped.
replace clutch cable 105 bucks...WTH. A clutch cable for a mower with now a broken transmission...that'll be handy.
Said it would be a few days-3 Weeks...Called over and over, said they were waiting on parts????? What Parts...A cable???
I'm 250 bucks out and a mower that doesn't work and they offered my a free tuneup for my trouble...
