This is a swell family restaurant with talented, caring service. Good people, good food, and at a good price.

Tuesdays... Had the steak tacos and was not disappointed... Very flavorful meat.
Good chilled salad and hot bread.
I wasn't excited about the taste of the iced tea, but nothing actually wrong with it.
Service was great, PRICES were very reasonable.
Apple pie was nice warmed.
Will visit again when in the area.

Here is my true review and nothing less. I have been going to hi-view since I was a little girl and I have nothing but amazing memories there! There food is nothing but great! I cant recommend the cream of chicken and rice soup enough! If I could give hi-view more stars I would!!

This place has been around since 1962 one more can you say the service alone is impeccable.

I loved it! The food was delicious, the service was great and it smells like pancakes right when you walk in. I recommend this restaurant to anyone in the Chicagos land area.

First time there and enjoyed it very much! Good (hot) coffee and all 4 of us had a great breakfast. My omelet was delicious!

Now I'll start by saying I have always liked this place not only for the cream of chicken and rice soup but all the food I've eaten there has been really good. BUT, as of Thursday I'm very disappointed and thinking of not returning. My day off, mouth was watering for soup and waffles excited I walked in alone place wasn't bus,y maybe 5/6 tables were taken. A waitress organizing menus was just standing in front of the register, directly in front of the door I just walked in... made eye contact and kept doing what she was doing, so I gave it a min and she walked away. Another waitress came from the back walked past me with the look on my face saying "I'm still waiting" well she walked past me too.. so I just stood there, been about a min and half almost two minutes now. I made eye contact with a plain clothes girl sitting at the bar stools right by the register I never thought twice about her especially since she looked at me with no reaction. Then some white man pops out of his booth ready to pay walks right to the register and even before he made up there the plain clothes girl jumped right up and said" hi, how was everything and took his bill and started ranging him out!!! So I had been ignored by three employees one who sat and stared at me the entire two minutes as if I didn't exist. I looked at her again and walked out shaking my head, she did nothing to stop me or see what i had been standing there for two minutes staring at them waiting to sit down for. Normally I'm with my aunt or mom who are white, my first time waking in alone being half black and racism turned its ugly head in villa park. I'm very upset and don't plan on coming back or giving my money to a place that treats anybody like that!!! Very disappointed.

Good ol Greek restaurant. Breakfast anytime of the day and gyro on tap. Been going here since I was a kid, love it.

Wonderful service and delicious dinner. They have great desserts - my favorite is the chocolate brownies.

If I could rate 0 I would. Ordered 2 skillets, both came out with eggs overdone. Also apparently they put green olives in a Mexican skillet and smoked sausage in a country skillet? We weren't happy with our food, and told the waitress we would just pay for our food without eating. She then brought over the manager who proceeded to question us and fight with us about not liking our food. He was completely unprofessional and rude. I have never been so disappointed with a family restaurant.

Breakfast every Sunday! Feels like family. Lunch and dinner are good too. It's our "go to" spot.

Average food and average service on a good night. It's typical diner food but some entrees are better than others.

Don't order the chicken alfredo. I can get better sauce from a jar from the grocery store.

Nice family restaurant, decent food. I was looking to replace my lifetime eatery with something else similar since they sold the business so since it was not exactly like my old spot I guess im being a bit picky but still a good spot to grub.

As i said b4. Have bern going here for years till last time. Service was TERRIBLE. Was sitting there 15 minutes NO WAITRESS . 4 people come in get sat and ordering a few minutes later 2booths in front of us and were STILL WAITING! My guy went to register and axkef where's the waitress? ? Lady says well WHERE R U SITTING WHEN SHE WAS THE ONE TJST SAT US! NEVER AGAIN . WHO WAITS 15 MINUTES FOR SERVICE AND THEN GETS ASKED " WHERE R U SITTING ?" !!. LATER! !

Our favorite weekend dining experience. Casual and friendly with the best ranch dressing around.

This is one of my favorite places to go. Whether it was just for a family dinner, special family occasion. Very family-oriented restaurant. Service is great. The food is very good. Prices are reasonable. We are never rushed we enjoy our time eating and talking.

The food here is excellent especially the cream of chicken rice. They also have great pankackes, waffles and crapes. The survive is also very good as well with the food coming out quick as well as the waiters being very nice. In the end this all ads u to make a awesome dining experience.

I've been eating Hi View more nearly 30 years - A Villa Park staple! Always AMAZING food, and friendly staff. COVID safety measures are well in place. I recommend Hi View to anyone looking for the best comfort food.

The best family restaurant in the county. The Tuesday fried chicken special is a lot for the money. everything on the menu is great.
