Overall great facilities. Dorm rooms can be a bit stinky with lots of people's ski gear. Would definitely stay here again! (the photo is the view from my dorm room)

Great place well located has everything you need. The bed could be more comfortable
Wow I have never stayed in this chain of hostels but it is definitely a high class hostel. Kitchen facilities are well organized with many stoves, kettles, kitchenware etc. I was super impressed. The rooms were cozy and offered basic necessities. Very pricey for a hostel however you really get what you pay for!
Good service, affordable price, internet doesn't always work
Was a great stay, safe, clean and the kitchen is very nice! Will be back for sure!
Clean, nice location. Front desk staff are very helpful.
No quiet spaces to relax or do work at any point of the day. Hostel is full of rowdy 18 year olds who party every night. Far from town and there are almost no food options nearby (they have a cafe that closes early in the day, have to take a bus to get to grocery.) Generic, blase attitude from check-in staff. I much preferred my stay at the other hostels in town.
Great place to stay, rooms were very nice, and the whole building was new and modern feeling. Front desk staff was friendly and helpful as well.
Great facilities and friendly staff. Bus routes to and from the village aren't the best but that's not up to HI.
Needed cycling maps of the surrounding area that led to Whistler Village. This place gave me some great info. Thanks again!
Staffs are helpful. Facilities are nice and affordable. Like this place.
Nice new building, good rooms and facilities. Friendly staff, young and vibrant crowd. Cheap price for Whistler - <$40 for a bed in Whistler is unheard of! Maybe not the best place to go if you want to get an early night as most people tend to head out on bar crawls so expect to be woken up at 2 or 3 in the morning. Also the beds are pretty creaky, but over all - great place!
Clean room and hostel, very good service and staff is amazing
suuuuuuper father, comfortable and excellent areas and service!
Enjoyed my recent 1 night stay, however I found the hefty price tag for a hostel dorm room a bit much - $60. I've stayed at HI hostels all around the world (including resort ski towns), and I've never paid more than $30 for a hostel dorm.
I really liked the HI staff, cleanliness and amenities, however if I were a group of 2-4, I believe you'd find better value in the village (i.e. 150-200/ night at budget hotels).
Great staff. Clean space well set up for overnights or longer stays. Big cooking area and common space.
By far the best hostel experience ever. Highly recommended. The shared kitchen is perfect! While they are going through renovations at the moment for a pipe burst, Hi-Whistler accommodated us very well. Great vibe. Most travellers are very pleasant and mix and mingle beautifully. Lockers are within the rooms and are big enough for your carry-on luggage with a padlock. Has a bus stop just seconds away which can take you straight to the Whistler village for some late night dancing. Worth the price and great experience.
The staff are amazing and really make the place, a big shout out to Nolan who put up with our big groups long check in and multiple questions and requests. The rooms are basic but perfect for an activity filled few days. The membership gives you great discounts on activities. The kitchen is really well equipped and clean. The lounge has super comfy seats and lots to keep you entertained. It's a bit out of town which is annoying but the 20 bus drops you from door to door.
So modern and clean, small rooms so you're only sharing with 3 others, bathrooms immaculate and only shared between 2 rooms so clean and private. Staff really helpful, and outdoor dining area stunning. Will definitely return
Cheap, clean possibly the worst bed I have ever slept on.
Clean and new, friendly staff, big kitchen. everything a bit too neutral and too much room which makes especially the common room and dining room very uncomfortable.
I know this is Whistler and its an expensive place, but I paid 200$ for a private room and the service was below the expectations set by this said price. It is an hostel and I should expect the service of one, but then that means that the price was too much. I should have spent the night in Squamish. Thanks for the 24h check in though.
Everything absolutely great bar location. Very clean hostel, very nice kitchen and eating area. The only downside is that I you need to get a bus it will take at least 20 minutes to get to whistler village, and that's with no traffic. But if you can get over that, it is excellent value to stay there.
The atmosphere is relaxing and surroundings are beautiful.
Clean room and bathroom, new infrastructure, friendly staff. Quite far from Whistler.
Awesome hostel, fun nights organised for guests, huge dry room and bus stop right out front
Very good for Budget Traveler and People they wana cook by yourself. Friendly Service and about 15min bus drive away from the next Gondola. But not so familiar like other Hostels.
Nice place, modern, welcoming, and clean. 2 small problems I had with the hostel: the beds were not super comfortable and I would also add some kind of privacy curtains for each bunk. Other than that, I had a great experience! The staff was very friendly and I loved Cheaky's cafe for breakfast.
HI Whistler hostel is part of the HI Canada group of hostels which have hostels in many parts of the world. The accommodation at Whistler was very neat and clean. The have private double rooms as well as dorm rooms with four or more beds. The rates are very reasonable. The furniture and furnishings are simple but elegant. The bathrooms are large. Towels, napkins, soap, bed linen and blankets are provided. There is even a community kitchen and laundry room which you can use. It is a very good facility for budget travelers.
Everything was great. It was my first time staying in a hostel and they have set the bar high. Big kitchen and dining area where many people can cook at the same time. Clean and good condition rooms and common areas. Only issue was that my bed was a bit creaky but it's not enough to take a star off. If you get a chance take a quick hike down to the suspension bridge and train wreck, about 20 minutes each way for a slow pace drinking a coffee from the place in the lobby. We stayed here in September for a Saturday night.
The place was more like a hotel, great beach volleyball facility and nice grounds including a nearby walk to an historic train wreck site, the staff were great and a well equipped tv room!
A nice, clean hostel, staff are friendly and there is a cafe that sells cheap beer! the only thing is there is no air conditioning in summer, it gets warm in there!
Great hostel, lots of room and different things to do, but poor WiFi reception in some places.
Really good hostel, only thing letting it down is no bar
The most beautiful Hostel in which I could reside and the best accommodation plan in Whistler. It dates from 2010, because it housed the athletes of the Vancouver Olympics. Private room big, clean, functional. Perfect kitchen and dining room, even a terrace. Playroom and rest too. Friendly and dynamic staff. Coffee in the hotel if needed. Bus to the center of Whistler. Only defects, the lack of efficiency of the blinds in the room and weak wifi.
Very good hostel. Big dorm rooms with new and clean bathrooms. The shared spaces are well equipped and lively. This is a nice place to stay overnight or for a couple of weeks.
Clean and new private room. But really chilly, despite thermostat. Also, bring your own pillow, theirs are horrific.
Clean and modern rooms. Great kitchen also. Downside is that there is no bar to meet and socialise with other travelers.
Basically just came in to sleep after each day of skiing... Comfortable beds. Kind staff. Adequate amenities. Great coffee in the morning. Plenty of parking. Affordable. Would stay again.
A 3 day course in the meeting room. Reasonable room but with loud noises coming from the cafe area. Great view and bright room. So all in all reasonable.
20 minute bus ride from Whistler Village. I stayed in a shared men's dorm, and my bunkmates were clean and quiet. The bed was quite comfy. The shared facilities were in good nick, but were a little crowded at times. The staff were very friendly and helpful.
Great place to stay. Kind and helpful staff and the accommodations were clean and just fine. Nothing to complain. We've stayed at the private room
Modern HI. The dorms are nice and there is plenty of common area.
The HI whistler is placed in the former olympic village. 2 hiking trails start very close (reacheable by foot). On the main floor there is a small cafe. A kitchen and a possibility die laundry ist available. The rooms are very nice, the staff is very friendly and helping.
Stayed here for 2 nights and on my second day torn my acl on the mountain. Nolan especially went above and beyond to make my stay better and have me directions to the medical center and helped me move my car out of the snow - give this guy a raise. Rooms are nice and clean bus to mount is right out front!! I recommend this place!!
Good place to stay, and the french worker back there are amazing !
Very modern and clean. Has a great vibe, and it's in a beautiful (surrounded by mountains) and is in a fairly convenient location (about a 20 min bus ride to the village). Also has decent facilities
Very very clean. One toilet and shower per room (room got only 4 beds so it's very peaceful!) This hi hostel is really the best I have ever been!
$150 for back pain. Miles away from Whistler downtown.
Friendly staff and a great new building. I could see this being the future of hotels, not just hostels.
The hostel is awesome, large spacious double room, you feel like you are in a hotel ... you can have breakfast in the lobby if you want ... staff is very friendly ... but it was the most expensive hostel we stayed at Have had travel ...
Stayed in private room with queen bed. Beautiful building. Very close to the village. Great kitchen. Bit pricier than your usual budget hostel, but it's also very nice for a hostel. Free Wi-Fi and lots of books to read.
Nice hostel but reception staff not super welcoming and bathroom smelly
Very nice, affordable accommodation. Friendly staff and good cooking facilities. Quite far away from the action however, you need to take a 30 min bus to get to the village where all the activities are.
Super nice facilities, friendly staff, and great common area with full kitchen, pool table and tv room stocked with movies and tv shows. Still expensive for a hostel but we are in whistler so it s expected.
Good room/ sleeping situation as well with ample storage space and each bed having a light, charging area and a shelf.
It is about a 20 minute drive to the mountain / village but there are buses and easy transportation.
A very nice hostel with easy access to Whistler Village. In summer you can even eat outside and have a fantastic view of the surrounding mountains. The rooms are clean and the kitchen is big enough to cook a bit more. Absolute recommendation!
This is a place for full on idiots. The place is ripped off by the employees who run the place like it's their home. Fortunately, only one visa per idiot now. THANK GOD!
It's pretty new and very well maintained hostel! showers shared only with 2 rooms and the whole hostel and there is a coffee shop downstairs, if the barista could work faster would be better but it's nice to be able to get coffee!
It's a really nice building in a fantastic neighbourhood but it's pretty noisy at night
The rooms were clean but it was quite cold inside, and it was a little bit pricey
Ridiculously far from village (8 km). The archetype of the impersonal hostel with no flavor. Impossible to use Internet from the rooms. Absolutely nothing around, no restaurant or bar. Overpriced breakfast downstairs.
Very helpful front desk staff! Bright, clean and modern facility
Well organised. Spacious. Clean rooms and enough space with private bathroom (4-bed room) the kitchen lacks some equipment for cooking and the cleanliness leaves a little to be desired. The place is new but at the same time a little too much and it lacks character and atmosphere. About 10-12 min from Whistler bus and there are several buses all day which is convenient. It's not a ski in / out but as a place not too expensive in Whistler I think it's hard to beat
Great hostel, clean and friendly staff. Only 8 km to Zug city center. Good bus connection from the hostel to the city center.
Good rooms and are for nice price. Highly recommend everyone to stay here if you want to save some bucks.
Great facilities, location is only a 15min bus ride in, cool staff
Modern and very clean hostel, which is exactly what we need during these times (covid).
We got a private room -- 4 beds with a private bath -- for 3 people, which was a great value. Lots of hooks on the walls and in lockers. Bed comes with a shelf, lamp, and a plug. Each bed also got a towel.
Complaints: Fitted sheet was very scratchy, beds creaky, and wifi would cut in and out.
Location is OK. If you can, I'd recommend getting a rental car as it's at least 15 mins from the main Whistler village. Not a lot of food options around so we were always driving out to eat.
If you're looking for good value on a budget in Whistler (there aren't many), this is it.
Great option to stay in the Whistler area at a reasonable price. Stayed in a private room, it was clean and quiet in the evening. If you go by car (like I did) there is plenty of parking. Otherwise the hostel is well connected with the public transit. The personnel is very nice and helpful.
Tip: if you are planning to go at the Scandinave SPA, make sure to ask for the discount coupon, it's 10% off/person on the admission price.
