We loved our stay here. It is really new and the views are spectacular with staff being terrific and there to help anytime. We had a beautiful room and everything was great, we would stay here anytime. They also had a small place to grab something to eat on the main floor and it was great too. Highly recommended!

HI whistler is a nice modern hostel located in the Olympic village around 20 minutes from Whistler town. The hostel itself is very nice, clean and modern. Boasting a nice kitchen and common area. The hostel has a cafe and ski storage area. The best way to get into town is to catch the 20 or 20x from the bus stop just down the road. Tickets cost $2.50 and the bus comes every 15 minutes or so. Only downside to the accommodation is that it's outside the town but definitely easily to bus in and by far the cheaper option!

The private room was okay. You have all the necessities, and privacy at a somewhat "affordable" price, ~$200 during peak season. However, walls are thin and noise coming from other dorm room in the middle of the night woke us up. There was also no fan in the bathroom. View from the room on 4th floor was great. Staff was friendly and the breakfast cafe was pretty good as well.

Very laid back attitude. We couldn't get wifi in our room, and no staff was ready to solve the issue, instead they asked us to use the common areas for wifi. Also, any other requests were not addressed immediately.

Cool place, little noisy from people walking in the halls but its fine at night. Matress is thin and beds are low in the private suits but the matress is foam so I had an ok sleep. Kitchen is big but I dont trust the dish washing system and recommend rinsing everything you use before. The fridges to store food were packed full so we had no room for a box and our bag got moved around. Staff were helpful laundry was good.

Affordable accommodation solution in Whistler.

Affordable accommodation solution in Whistler.
Breakfast not included and expensive. The kitchen is quite good!
Bad quality Wi-Fi, especially in the bedroom. Noisy people arrived at 3am without showing any consideration for the other sleeping guests, twice during a 5 days stay.

Great

Pro:

Pro:
-Kitchen is well stocked with pots, pans, plates etc... -Rooms are clean with lots of coat hooks and storage, easy to keep organized
-Culture is very friendly, good place to meet people

Cons:
-Internet bandwidth is very low. This is almost the sole reason for the loss of 2 stars as many normal applications struggle to operate properly with the complimentary WiFi. Do not expect to rely on this connection.
-A short drive away from the village. This was not much of a problem for me since the bus runs very regularily.

Whistler is a beautiful place, but unfortunately no longer a nice one. I've been going to Whistler since the early 80's. It was a fun, happy place fill of ski bums and weekend warriors.

The vibe has changed. The staff seem unhappy, and a little desperate for money. I suspect most of the waiters and waitresses are available for after hours fun if you have the cash. The way some looked at me it was pretty apparent.

This is not the fun happy place it used to be. If you're looking for a place to drop Lotsa money and do creepy things, well, fill your boots. The skiing is still great but the atmosphere has ruined it for the most part. In a family guy and i would not recommend this place anymore...

Lovely, modern hostel. Rooms are great with ensuite showers and toilets in every dorm! Kitchen is big an clean, games room has everything you could want including a pool table and Lan cables! Staff is friendly as well. Location has positives and negatives. It's a bus drive from both creekside and village and the bus costs 2.50 every time. But as it is in the old Olympic village there are a lot of sports fields you can use and green space to relax in (basketball, football, beach volleyball...). All in all an amazing place!

The experience was a solid four, but at the summer prices, is a great deal for what it is.

I stayed in a women s dorm room (4 beds) for three nights, and had completely different bunk mates each night. There are decent sized lockers that lock with a padlock in each room.

I very much appreciated that each bunk had its own shelf with an outlet, so you could charge your phone and have it with you at night. The mattresses were sufficient for a small person, but if you were a larger adult than I am or had back issues, they may not be comfortable.

From the hallway, you entered into the bathroom (small toilet room, small shower room, open area with two sinks) and then through the locked doors to the bunk rooms.

In the kitchen, there were bins for you to put your name and check-out date.

The only caveat is that the hostel is far enough from the center of Whistler that it would be more of an effort to get into town if you didn t have a car. It is close to the short train wreck trail, which includes a suspension bridge.

Staff are so lovely but the service itself is not that great. I had stayed here late 2016 and my belongings went missing on multiple occasions after the cleaners had left. My toothbrush was taken one morning and then my phone charger the next. Overall the stay experience was probably on par with the price.

The dorms are really well maintained and neat. The staff is very friendly. There is also a cafe that offers breakfast, and I'm not quite sure about lunch. The washrooms, basins, etc are also neat and clean. Good place to stay in.

Our party was unknowingly unable to cross the border into Canada for a very anticipated trip to Whistler, And Therefore could not make our reservations. Immediately upon reaching the manager we were forgiven for the mishap, and he very sweetly decided not to add to our losses and did not charge us for our no-show and Day of cancellations considering our very unfortunate circumstances. He helped make a very bad situation not so painful, I wish I can thank him personally but hopefully he will just see this. THANK YOU SO MUCH . Everyone should stay at Hi-whistler.

The place is clean, an beds are good. It's not cheap for a hostel, but you can't beat it in peak season. The booking fexibility is a great bonus. And as they say, Book Direct for the best deal.

New and very clean - great staff!! It's a bit far from whistler village but it's one bus that runs frequently and isn't expensive - or you can just hitch hike almost anyone will pick you up and it's only like a 10 min drive or less anyways.

The hostel was modern and clean. Had a really late arrival and the staff accommodated well. I appreciated the requirement to have masks on when using the kitchen. Covid definitely changed the way people stay in hostels. Wifi didn t work up on the 4th floor where my room was so no choice but to use my data. Drive up to the village was said to be 25 mins but you can make it there in 11-12 minutes. Decent stay!

I just had a very good stay at the hostel for a 2-day ski trip! I've stayed several times already. Location is great since it's quite close to Whistler village (and also very close to Creekside village and gondola). I drive though so I can't say how transit friendly it is. The room and bathroom were nice and clean. Only complaint was that the bed was quite short. Being 6'2", I could barely fit even diagonally. It would probably even be tight for someone 6' tall. There's a decent amount of storage for a couple bags including lockers (bring your own locks!). There's also a storage room for skis/boards. The common lounge area is pretty nice with a big TV and some movies there. Internet can be hit and miss. I had my data on so didn't really know when WiFi was working or not. So Netflix also doesn't work that well but you'll probably find something in their DVD collection if you want movies. The kitchen is pretty good. Good facilities with enough space. Some of their pots and pans could do with replacing soon though and there's limited supply of some common things like bowls and cutlery. But otherwise it's great for preparing meals. Service at the front desk was quick and easy and the people there were friendly and ready to answer questions. I definitely recommend this place! It's a hostel, so don't expect too much, but it really is a pretty nice and clean place.

Never stayed at a hostel before so we were hesitant about it but were we surprised. Had a private room which was clean and comfortable. Kitchen was well equipped and the concept was cool. Staff was helpfull and gave some tips about what to do in the area. It's a bit 'far' from town but if you have a car you'll be there in no time. A lot of parking available next to the property.
