The portions were very large, normally I am not full during such a luxurious lunch, this time I can hardly finish everything.

The food was really delicious, the presentation was beautiful. Personally, I found the quality and price a bit out of balance.

Unfortunately we found it a disappointment, we were so looking forward, we love star restaurants and do as many as possible. The starter with the eel was very sweet and really not tasty, the taco, my husband thought More

Eating here is always a party.

Eating here is always a party.
It is a pity that it is time for us.
Last night we were there for a dinner with the dishes from Sven Ornelis that were pimped by Roger Van Damme. The dinner was for a good cause. Super good food and very nice evening, everyone was super friendly .... highly recommended to eat there, definitely close with a dessert from the best pattisier in the world, Roger Van Damme !!!

This is a perfect little place for a late lunch or just grabbing a tea or coffee. Their little pastry dishes are amazing and every dish is special and tasty. Can get crowded in the summer, but the Botanical garden location is quite charming and worth it.

We expected something good but got something great, a delicious meal that combined great flavors with true artistry of presentation. We both had a main course and then a dessert... all four were gorgeous and great. It is an elegant small restaurant which provides excellent service. The setting in the Antwerp Botanical Garden is very nice.

Good food and also very important: very friendly service! Ordered Dame blanche and trio of desserts and after half an hour we were served with these delicious desserts. Cozy atmosphere inside. Recommended!

Together with 't Zilte, at the very best inventive kitchens of' t Stad. Undeniably price / quality is also a top-class at national level. When it comes to tastes in the plate, we regularly flirt with a second Michelin star here according to us. Style rather perfectionist than sexy. Beautiful, unique location in the botanical garden.

The eyes eat with delight, this is a great restaurant playing and associating tastes for your pleasure. The attention to the detail makes a clear difference, you enjoy your meal from the beginning to the end. Bravo! Note the opening hours.

Everything was taken care of to perfection.

Everything was taken care of to perfection.
I also found it certainly an added value that both the Great Roger Van Damme and his wife are physically present in their case.

Enjoy delicious for anyone who is a fan of a high-level dessert! Reservation was good, can be done via the site and at a fairly short notice. Friendly service. Each dessert is a work of art in itself, with surprising flavors. All the senses stimulated! And the menu changes regularly, so we go back again!

This is the 2nd time we go with them. And I think of the star restaurants this tastes the best in Antwerp qwa. In addition, a friendly and smooth service and heavenly pictures on your plate. Pure indulgence. Really great.

The meal: excellent and original, despite a name that suggests great classics of cooking. The result surprises positively.
The service: just acceptable, which is insufficient for an establishment of this price. Upon arrival (10 'after the time of our reservation), no free table, we are waiting in a corner without even getting rid of our jackets. Once installed, still a long wait before receiving the cards or we are offered to hydrate ourselves.
And when the bill arrives, it is incorrect (a dish counted double), a good 15% of undue supplement.
The room is beautiful and well decorated (with commercials for decorators), but the tables are very (too) close to each other.
The price: expensive of course, but we knew it. Probably a bit more expensive than other establishments of the same level of game that I could visit, but by little.

The Thai-themed takeaway food was well presented.

The Thai-themed takeaway food was well presented.
The seafood fried rice was well cooked too. Maybe a bit lacking in authentic Thai flavours but still a well made fried rice. As for the desserts:

Coconut panne cotta: simply divine! With many elements and textures.

Mango sticky rice: Not good! The sticky rice is supposed to be served lukewarm, even at room temperature it can taste nasty. It is weirdly paired with the western dessert elements like biscuit and mousse. They just don t go together. And only one tiny piece of mango. please just make the traditional version!

Chocolate creation: Mainly milk chocolate, too sweet for me.

Tiramsiu: it's not the traditional version with lady fingers. Mainly made up of mousse. Too sweet for me. The one from Le Pristine is much better.

Too beautiful to eat, words fall short, art such as a Panamarenko, or a painting by Rubens, but then on a plate to eat, you continue to admire it so beautifully, and once you taste it you say indeed, "Roger van Damme" this is still talked about many decades later, just as he could, a master in his profession has never achieved anyone else this level.
That is why you can still do it now, once chef Roger has stopped it is too late, pfff emotional

I can't fault the food, it really is a painting on your plate!
The customer service however was less. Because I and my girlfriend are younger (students) and we may look less chic or rich, we were served less well than the other people.
For example, we had to wait until they had prepared a table for us - we had made reservations and were on time. The couple who came in after us were immediately given a table.
Then we were kindly escorted to our table - not the nicest table in my opinion, on the food elevator, not near a window like the other, fairly cramped.

All of this can still be overlooked, I think.
But then the following happened: after we ordered, the waitress just brought our food. With other customers I have seen and heard how the waitresses extensively describe what is on their plates, what the dish consists of, how it is prepared, where the products come from, and so on.
We have not received that explanation.

After dinner - which was very nicely presented, my compliments to the chefs - I asked for the bill. I had a gift voucher with it but it cost a little more than the value of the gift voucher so I asked the waitress how to do this. She simply said: subtract the coupon from the total price and she was immediately gone.
I found it a bit strange that she did not help us or did not calculate the sum for us as the bill nevertheless comes in such a chic box.

Customer service: bad if you don't look 'fancy' enough.
Food: a feast for the eyes!

Simply enjoy! The food is refined and so delicious. The desserts are really works of art for the eye and almost a waste to eat. But if you do that anyway, then it is really enjoyment. The ambiance is good and the staff very attentive.

This time with dad to our favorite in Antwerp, that was a long time ago for him. The weather was fine and the terrace was covered, we thought it was nicer to sit inside, there we got a table at the window, nice. As an aperitif a fresh white, that was a Verdejo from the Rueda by Javier Sanz, which was very well received. Next to it the crispy puff pastry with profiteroles that were hearty filled, delicious.
The menu was presented with an extra starter and two extra main courses. What was striking was that there was now also the possibility of accompanying beers.

Chef Roger himself presented the first amuse-bouche. The amuse-bouche was inspired by the pizza prosciutto served in a glass ball. At the bottom a chutney of onion, liquid tomato sauce, fresh tomato and burrata, covered with prosciutto, finished with two very thin slices of crispy bread. A very nice flavor combination.

The first accompanist was the Spanish El Cullerot from Celler del Roure, pleasantly fresh with some body. Next to it a nice presentation. Slow-cooked, neatly grilled turbot fillet on a bed of mashed potatoes, surrounded by a wreath of finely chopped lukewarm fried vegetables on which structures of carrot, mussels escabeche, cress and tufts of spicy mayonnaise, finished at the table with a delicious shellfish sauce. The turbot had a fine cuisson, nice flavors in the garnish that combined well and the wine was nicely balanced, enjoy. (9.8)

Partner had opted for the redfish with Asian influences. On the plate a neat fillet with two pieces of lobster tail on a bed of rice with vegetables, on top a prawn biscuit with fresh herbs, finished at the table with the seasoning of the dish, a delicious curry coconut sauce. Beautiful flavors, excellent cuissons with next to it the white South African Ladybird from Laibach that fits seamlessly. (9.7)

This time opted for the Orelys. A very nice presentation appeared on the table. A pie of balls with the flavors of yuzu, basil and caramelized apple between crispy slices, on top of a compote of caramelized apple. In addition, various structures of light cream, apple, sponge cake and orelys chocolate, with the butterfly as a decorative highlight. Delicious flavors and not too heavy. Josef Rosch's delicious German Riesling Leiwen auslese made the dish even lighter. (9.85)

Finally, a Nespresso, a glass of whipped cream with liqueur and biscuits, of which the bread pudding took the lead.

Service was excellent, we felt completely pampered again.

Price-quality was excellent, top dishes come with a serious price tag.

In short, it was another great experience. Super nice that Roger showed several new developments. This shows that he is not standing still at all. Also nice that more and more is being done at the table, so that the experience becomes even more complete. We were impressed, thank you!

What a special, unique experience!

What a special, unique experience!
I got a dinner party as a surprise and was completely out of my mind.
Staff:
Super friendly and very professional service but far from wooden or cool, more compassionate which also gives you a special feeling without "benefiting" from the situation, no incentive to more expensive wine or something, no tout court just professional.
Eat Drink:
Wow, wow, super, it was a unique experience although I have been able to visit many delicious things, this made my mouth water with every meal. Small points of criticism but really not to elaborate on here. Top wine list with not only the toppers but also for example German wines and Argentinian (which I took, recommended). Dessert as expected from another planet (and beyond Mars)!
Atmosphere / experience:
What a BEAUTIFUL establishment, nice separate rooms that blend together, not too many walking staff and good acoustics (I'm sensitive to that). Toilet is a bit around the corner and I found it strange because staff there also do business for the restaurant.
Price:
With astonishment, such a quality offered for these prices, MORE than its money, if you make it as expensive as you want to be able to eat a Wagyu for that price, I'll be back !!!

It is indeed a very special place. Located at a corner of the botanical garden in Antwerpen, you could enjoy the greens and watching people walking by.

There are some tables outside but then you are only offered the small card, which I would never recommend as the speciality of this Michelin starred restaurant is their amazing desserts.

We were lucky to arrive before 12 pm and got a table inside.
I used to get the piegeon but it wasnt on the menu.

I skipped the Appetizer ( Carpaccio), as we only had breakfast 2 hours before and ordered Turbot (Fish) for 48 which turned out very delicious and well done. My betterhalf was very happy with his Tartar. Both looked very pretty.

As a must, we got one Celebration (a creation of red fruits dessert) for 25 and Lemon Squash or something similiar - for 27,50 were absolute amazing. A highlight we have never experienced by fine dining and Michelin Starred Restaurants sofar.

The service is outstanding as well. All described in english.
