The food is exceptionally tasty and the service is smiley and friendly.

whaaw, what a lunch at Roger Van Damme ... smoked salmon as a starter, then a vol au vent like I have never eaten, so delicious ... and then a worldly dessert both in taste and finish top !!!! here I will definitely return, and a big congratulations to the entire team for the service!

Were received in a very correct way. Corona measures were followed very well. Staff supper friendly. The food was very delicious. Well worth the price

we were there on 10 May. The food was good and the ambiance exquisite. The dessert is actually the best. My advice: just order two desserts.
But now the Gesture follows. My wife ordered asparagus with a Riesling and I had monkfish with a French wine.
I smell my wine and tell my wife: I have your Riesling.
I report it. The lady from the restaurant comes and takes my glass and puts her whole nose in it (really) and sniffs and says yes, that is Mrs's wine. Then she takes her glass and repeats "the gesture" with the nose in it and says "And this is your wine" and walks away.
For me that was Het Gebaar ,.

Coffee from nespresso and ordered my Steak "rare "and got "Medium well " .!They call themself gourmet and that was a super Bad Steak. You can get better Steak for arround 15 not 30+ like i paid here. Not recommend, 2* because wine was ok

We had chosen the desserts and these were delicious. A true taste sensation. Also very friendly service and relaxed atmosphere. We will definitely be back. I recommend this place to everyone.

Very tasty, highly recommended. Because of the covid-19, the menu has been made smaller, which is also understandable.

Very nice eaten in a relaxed atmosphere, friendly service and smooth service. We had the tuna beforehand, very tasty and then the eel and tournedos. Was super nice and as you can see on the pictures, sure enough! The desserts were also super tasty, although we thought the starter and main dishes were better in terms of taste and quality. In any case enjoyed delicious and we will definitely come a third time!

Celebrated my birthday here. Deliciously beautifully decorated plates with surprising flavor combinations. Highly recommended.

A fantastic experience with the gesture. This had been on the bucket list for years and finally it was time. We enjoyed from start to finish! A mouth-watering bite and tasty sandwiches, as main course we took the full au vent with sweetbreads, and the dessert was a perfect ending. All then another work of art on your plate. We'll come back sometime!

We expected something good but got something great, a delicious meal that combined great flavors with true artistry of presentation. We both had a main course and then a dessert... all four were gorgeous and great. It is an elegant small restaurant which provides excellent service. The setting in the Antwerp Botanical Garden is very nice.

We had such a great meal, everything was correct. Beautiful restaurant, super staff.

First time eaten in gesture and our expectations were met nicely. super friendly affair and certainly no stiff hassle .... we always got beautiful dishes and we could always contact the staff if we had any questions. I had written a birthday friend as a comment when booking and when serving the dessert she served a separate plate with desserts. I did not expect this and indicate that they want to contribute to a nice culinary experience ...

you pay the price for it and you know it in advance. we certainly do not regret it and after seeing them again, sure ....

Nice lunchtime restaurant in a park in the centre of Antwerp. It may have a Michelin star but it is a very relaxed restaurant. The service is a little inattentive and slow, the restaurant is small with oversized tables making it feel a squeezed (we were wedged between two larger tables which made me feel a little uncomfortable). I'm not sure the food is considered fine dining because the starter was a panini (although nice). I had a very nice steak and the amount of work that went into the vegetables was apparent but I felt that it was more of a statement from the chef rather than an enhancement to the dish. The deserts were very impressive but at around 25 Euro each were very expensive and a little overpriced. I enjoyed the food and experience but if I came here again I would sit on the outside terrace with a light lunch and a bottle of wine rather than eating in the restaurant.

Insanely tasty! First time in a restaurant with a star, and we will still do it! You also notice that everything goes as it should, top team.

The gesture is an atypical restaurant. The location: the botanical garden of Antwerp on the edge of the center. The view: resembles a pancake house. Opening: only for lunch. And yet very popular. Not only does every dish look like a work of art. They also taste heavenly. The vol au vent looks far from traditional, but tastes like a vol au vent should always taste. And the desserts look so beautiful that it seems a shame to disturb the composition. An absolute must.
