Used hcc website to report pothole 3 months ago Told its under review will be looked at soon..Whats the point in reporting defects if they do nothing about it!!! Update 2 months later, nothing done!
Too many times have this council failed in its duty of care to the public, especially hoddesdon residents. It needs serious improvement.
wonderful building.very proactive road safety group partnership aiming to drive down death and injury on Hertfordshire roads. lose one star for the serco parking guy. not his fault there is no parking. But lack of flexibility and compromise isn't really helpful.
In these difficult times of self isolation I was still able to go and enjoy the countryside, thanks to the wonderful foot paths that are maintained so well by the council.
I live in a cul de sac of 5 houses serviced by one street lamp.The light bulb went out some 2 months ago. I phoned the County Council to arrange this to be attended to and was informed that the request had been logged. Almost two months down the line the fault has still not been fixed.
With the dark long evenings this has created a problem due to cars parked on the unlit road . The Council site states 20 days as the period within which such problems will be sorted.
My reporting this was almost 35 to 40 days ago. !!!
Poor service I am afraid .
Hertfordshire County Council have little regard for residents of Hoddesdon. By way of permitting overnight works for High Leigh Garden Village, closing Lord Street and trying to get an incinerator built here.
