Hershey Entertainment & Resorts: Houlihan's Restaurant Review

Everything is awesome except the food is a bit slow to come out. It's really great tasting food though so it's worth it. Just don't plan to be in a hurry.

We ve been here twice and loved it more the second time. It was very busy but waitress handled it well and was efficient. The chicken fajitas were so yummy! We ll be visiting again!

The Tuscan bean salad is great. They also have the impossible burger and it's delicious!

Great food, unique and excellent items I have not seen at any other restaurants... service was good but the food took a little while to come out... maybe because it is one of a kind..???...idk

Had an extensive menu and great aesthetic. Went on a friday night and it was pretty busy already at 5, lots around the bar. I have food intolerances so my options were limited but the server was attentive and I was able to eat gluten free and dairy free here with no problem. Will come back if ever in the area

I asked the waitress for a Cactus Bowl, she had never heard of this drink...I was disappointed! I order Salmon with green beans and had fried calamari for appetizers...it was Ok!

It's adequate chain restaurant food. When you walk in, there is a very musty smell, but once inside it's unnoticeable. The service is good and the prices are moderate.

Nice workers but was denied a beer because of the Pizza Hut law . I thought I was at hoolihans not pizza hut

Food is always good, and the staff very friendly. Lunch is my favorite time to visit. Their lunch specials are good. I love their tomato bisque and the shrimp tacos.

Drink specials are pretty good for being in Hershey. The food always comes out consistent no matter what day you go. Can be very busy during the days when Hershey Park is open.

Lovely dinner. Everything was fresh from appetizers to meal. Excellent dessert which I brought home and was still delicious. Great service, friendly and respectful... Prices Vary but the amount they give you per meal is absolutely worth the money! They give you what you pay for in amount.

Staff was knowledgeable help with deciding what to order the ribs were very good the scallop s very good the resoato very well done over all we had a great experience

I like Houlihan's. Food is always good and so is the service. Definitely recommend.

Food was delicious. Server Tony was attentive and funny. If it weren't for the wait, I'd come here more often.

Sad to say I did not have a good experience at this Houlihan's. We were seated promptly but that's when it went down hill. We watched servers continue to walk pass us without saying a single word. This went on for longer than it should have especially in a restaurant that had very few people dining. We no longer have a Houlihan's near us so I was excited to give this one a try. Oh well, I'll always have the good memories of the Houlihan's from my past. We finally left. In to the next restaurant

We've made a tradition of eating here after each trip to Hersheypark or Chocolate World. It's close by and has something for everyone. The kid's menu has several options and is reasonably priced. It can get quite busy so call ahead to inquire about the wait. The only thing I would love to see is a "healthier options" section on the menu. But I'm not going to take away a star because they can't read my mind! Hahaha. Definitely worth a visit. Suggest asking your waiter or waitress for meal recommendations if you can't decide. Enjoy!

Houlihan's is really amazing.

Great service, every single time I've visited our waiter/waitress has been nothing but pleasant and constant around us.

Never had to ask for refills, accommodated us very well, and just lovely people.

I reccomend the "Korean Chicken" it's my personal favorite. But the potato soup, steaks, burgers, and pot roast are all delicious.

Nice calm atmosphere, feels upbeat and fancy like I don't belong. 5/5 really great.

Awesome place to eat. Ahi tuna appetizer is amazing. Eclectic offering of apps. Burgers and soups great too! Service also solid.

Food was spectacular, wait was reasonable for the quality, but service was less than stellar. We were well past finished with our meal when server showed up for refills and asked what we were thinking for dessert. We hadn't even seen a dessert menu yet. She brought that then disappeared for almost 15 minutes - it doesn't take that long to debate the 5 items they offer.

Very crowded on a Saturday evening but the wait was short at only 15 minutes. The French onion soup was superb, full of flavor and the cheese was excellent. The burger was just average, it didn t have much to offer and was rather ordinary. But the pot roast was phenomenal. Tender chunks of meat, incredibly flavorful gravy, creamy mashed potatoes, and a nice topping of onion straws. Great service, too.

Service was great. Enjoyed the hell out of my burger and beer. Definitely will be back.

We had a family gathering there a year ago. Can't remember what everyone had, but every thing was so good and filling that we took some home for dinner.

My family and I enjoy going here. We always get the pomme frites and lettuce wraps for apps which are delicious. Fish tacos are the best. The fam always gets a good variety of dishes. The alcoholic beverages are well made. Worth trip.

Excellant food . Quantity and quality are superb and reasonably priced. The only reason I gave them a 4 star rating is because they don't take reservations.

The spinach dip was awful. Watery and cold. Although they did try to correct it it was still not there spinach dip that they are famous for.

Jeremy is by far a very good bartender/waiter/gentleman. Very pleased to have him taking care of us tonight. Ask for him if you're in the restaurant.

Food and service great. We went for dinner before the theater. They told us it would be a 30 minute wait for a table. Normally I dont like to wait that long but knew they would be busy before the show, it only took about 20 minutes to get a table. Everything we order came out in reasonable time and food temp was fine.

My husband and I come here often. Good selection of food that is consistently very good and the husband likes the beer selection very much.
The harvest chicken salad is my favorite-fresh and very flavorful and great portion sizes.
Family friendly with a children's menu too.

Breanna our server was excellent. We had a party of 7 adults one child and one baby. She was very happy and I will ask for her again. As a side note she had perfectly applied makeup( and I told her).

A good place for a family dinner, but the food is not as high quality as the location would suggest. The interior smelled like it hasn't been updated in a while and the booths and table were sticky with cleaner. The staff was very friendly and quick. The pricing does not match with the quality, pretty expensive for what the entire experience returned.

EVERYTHING here is SO GOOD! It's in our top 3 places to eat and it's right down the street from us. I wish I could afford to eat here for dinner every night, that's how good it is. There is always something new, staff is friendly, and we've never had much of a wait time while going.

The pot roast was awesome! Service was great, very pleasant and helpful staff. Best meal in town, much better than Devon's, right next door.

We went here pre-covid (I think January 2019) and it was great. The food was delicious and service was good. But we went again recently and it was very disappointing. Not just the fact that it was hella crowded, but the food was not nearly as yummy as before. I was bummed by that because I had been wanting the chicken parm for so long and then it was such a let down. Oh well. I'm guessing it will be better when things get more figured out...or at least I'm hoping it will.

Love this place, love the beer selections. While the appetizers are a wee bit tiny (and that's coming from someone who's on the petite side) they were delicious and our server was timely and polite. Definitely going back the next time I get the chance.

Great food and drinks! The staff is super friendly as well! I had the Korean Chicken and French Onion soup it was spectacular.

45 minutes for entrees on a Monday night. Four tables in our server Jess's section and she walks on by each time . Got a water refill as our check was brought to the table. Asked for two to-go boxes and got one. Such a shame for a birthday dinner. Highly suspect the entrees we not entered at first. Ordered a salad and a medium burger at 7:12 and received them at 7:45. Would love to come back but won't. This place is dead and this service is unacceptable.

The more I think about this, I really think this experience deserves one star, and that is only because I cannot give it a zero. The service was terrible and the prices were high. And when I posted my original review giving it a 2 star, I received a response from someone I am guessing was management? I originally thought they were concerned enough to want to apologize and the next email I received appears to be a generic cut and paste apology. I will not be returning here.

The entree was wonderful! The non-speaking server and the freeze dried salad were not.

Loved my dining experience at Houlihan s! The food was absolutely delicious with good service and a beautiful setting. Cannot wait to return here again soon to enjoy more tasty food and drinks.

Always had good service and good food here. Have ordered twice for pickup during coronavirus and it was seamless. They were able to make substitutions we requested and there were no errors or anything missing. Friendly efficient staff. Easily recommended !

Service, and price were excellent. Food was way to salty not enjoyable.

Food and atmosphere is good, my only gripe with this place, that I encountered several times, is that their menus at times leave out all the details of what is included/used to prepare a dish.

Obviously I'm not look for "seasoned with oregano" but things like if something is topped with mushrooms I kinda expect that to be stated... Aside from wording, their serve some good food and a verity of cocktails.

We were here on Valentine's day weekend. The couple's special was fantastic, $50 for an awesome seafood lunch with appetizer and dessert! Food was great, nice selection of beers on tap too. We must have been at the right place, by the time we were leaving, people were waiting to get in!

Edit: place has improved immensely. Would totally recommend, depending on what you order. Fyi- Get their burgers and spinach dip!!! Yum!

Quite disappointing experience tonight. Party of four. Grabbed seats at the bar while waiting for table. Asked to move so they could wipe the bar, then had zero acknowledgement from anyone for 15 minutes that we gazed at the two moderately busy bartenders. We finally walked away and wait in the lobby.

Wait was not crazy long. When we got our table, the food was off and service was incredibly slow and unapologetic. We typically have great experiences here and will try again. All four of us were disappointed this visit.

Was there this Sunday for my Birthday table of 10 at 5pm worst service EVER!! She forgot straws, plates, refills, etc. And the best of all she forgot to say Happy birthday or even bring out a dessert with a candle !! When she brought our check she threw the pen on the table. I have been a server in the past and I can tell you this is no way to serve or treat customers!! Hope you can make this a better experience!!!

great food and a place rest after full day at hershe park! I would recommend fish and chips.

Food is excellent. Been twice this week and enjoyed the salmon and the stuffed chicken breast. Spaghetti squash is delicious and loaded mac n cheese is awesome. Jeremy is a great bartender!

great food super packed on Sat night 8/24 but friendly and attentive bartenders got drinks and to go order was quick and efficient

We've been going to Houlihan's since 1980, we love that place!!! It was a bit of a wait, but always worth it.

Worse experience of my life in a restaurant. Rude, ignorant and dismissive employees and an even more dismissive manager. It is the worse place I have had the horror to come across. They mistakenly provided us twice with missinformation and then proceeded to transfer the responsibility to us. Steer away from this establishment at all cost. I have been in macdonald with better treatment (and probably better food too).

Mom and I stopped here after a long drive. Atmosphere is very cozy and clean. We ordered the Artichoke and goat cheese poppers, which were fantastic. I got the Korean Chicken, which was spicy but not burn my lips off spicy, it was just right. I'd highly recommend. Service was quick.

MUST try the Chocolate Covered Pretzel Martini!

I love this restaurant because I can get a cheeseburger and fries with a gluten free bun. We are enjoying the Game Of Thrones red blend wine and some chips and salsa for our appetizer. Everything is really good here!

Food was good as well as the drinks. Airy atmosphere. Some staff didn't wear their mask correctly when I looked around but my waitress did ( Joycette). Seated fast, place was clean often between customers including the bathroom facilities.

Chain restaurant serving American comfort food a few yards from the park. The food is delicious and consistent, exactly what you want after a long day in the park. Service is prompt even when the place is busy. Typical children's menu. Fair prices for the large portions served.

I'm not sure what happened from the last time we were there, but the food was not as good. We ordered the grilled Korean chicken and Houlihan's burger. Both were burnt and tasted bitter.

This is my go to for a bite to eat in Hershey. Friendly staff clean restaurant good selection of great food

For a chain restaurant it is remarkable how they are able to turn out so much good food.

Excellent food, excellent service. There was probably 30 to 40 people waiting ahead of us when we arrived. The gastest told us we would have a 39 minute wait and we where seated 28 minutes later. Definitely recommend if you're in Hershey!
