Hi I an furryona and I would like to go here for ur food
Went for a leadership summit there. Beautiful campus. Amazing food from the college dining. I have no idea how much I ate. Free bus service took us to their really cute downtown. Awesome people.
Great school to go to with a great program for just about every major. They've improved the campus a lot to get away from the "party" label they had for a long time by clearing out "Frat Row" along with adding more on campus housing locations. I recommend the Silvan and North living areas along with the Worcester DC as the best DC on campus.
The SHITEST network I have ever used in my entire life
My grandson Wan Yajie was admitted to this university!
0/10 would not recommend, found a hard sock under my pillow. I don't even go to this college
My favorite place in the world. Where I met the best people alive and learned the lessons I d carry with me for life.
A fantastic school. An amazing place to grow mentally and physically, through schooling and life experiences. I highly recommend attending this school.
The campus is gorgeous and enormous as far as schools in the north east go. In fact they are still growing and just getting better.
I love it here! Food is great, faculty is nice, and there is no place I would rather be!
Studied Business Management and met some of the world's best people. Marched with the Power and Class of New England, the UMass Minuteman Marching Band. Eyes, with pride!
Help me become the person I am. I worked in a lab that beat out MIT and Harvard for grant money.
Great school and environment. The people are amazing, Im a conservative and couldnt think of a place that I am more at home than Amherst :)
I've been coming here for years to while away lazy saturdays, enjoy a bustling environment with people busy working and laughing. It's the heart of Amherst.
It's my Alma Mater and I couldn't have chosen a better place to earn my grad degree!
Great location for students who like outdoor activities. Big campus and nice facilities. They have the best food you will find at any college.
Great college and infrastructure. This is one of the largest university in New England and very good for computer science and related fields.
pros: Good university with excellent infrastructure and ideal environment for student life. Most of the buildings are new and in good condition. Since there is a large student body, you will find many different kinds of student activities like sports activities and other extra curricular activities.
Cons: Since the university is not located near big city, Not all companies come for the career fairs.
UMass Isenberg School of business management is the highest rated business school in the Northeast and for good reason. The fear at first was that in such a large institution, how could my Daughter get the individual instruction she was used to? But once there you realize that UMass is broken into many different specialized colleges in one location. My Daughter's supposedly hardest course was the one she loved most and aced. The professors there are excellent at what they do, and truly bring out the best in their students.
Beautiful campus year-round. Absolutely amazing food. Nice buildings. Great education .
Good campus but housing (both on and off campus) is very expensive.
Super cool place, the entire campus is gigantic,I went last weekend so see Beauty and the Beast be performed here and it was super good! Things are just quite expensive there though.
Pure example of affordable education. In this day there is no reason to attend an expensive college, UMass offers great programs for an incredible price for in-state students. Faculty is great, and advisers are very proactive. Nice atmosphere with a lot to do. Great opportunity. Wouldn't have gone anywhere else if i had the chance.
Great University. Excellent Professors and Education.
Graduated in 87. I was well prepared for life work and career.
The first thing I will say about this school is that the student population is one of the rudest and meanest student populations in the country. Everyone I have met at this place is all about appearing cool and smart, and if you don't go to school here you are looked down upon. The dorms are absolutely terrible here and most buildings are made of concrete. Most state universities are the pride of the state but I don't think people view UMass that way. The school used to have friendly students and a low tuition/fees, now it is the exact opposite. When you go to Umass you are paying for a college experience, your not paying for a quality education. Public schools are a major part of the downfall of society, and this school is a perfect example of a school doing that. Every time I have been on this campus I am not acknowledged and if you don't conform to Umass standards you are an outsider. I understand education is important but the students/staff could at least show some respect to people outside their clique of Umass society. Umass has gotten better in some aspects but in many aspects it is still failing. It is not a open minded campus. I think most people who leave this school are so absorbed into a career mindset that they forget that life is about more than just a career and income. A major problem with universities especially UMass is people choose a very narrow path of education. People should be interested in many different fields of knowledge rather than what their major is. Education continues after leaving a school but Umass acts like it ends when you leave school.
i went here for the 4-h dairy academy over the summer, and we stayed at one of the dorm buildings. It was a fantastic experience! The campus food there was award-winning I heard and it tasted amazing. I loved the beautiful campus. I would definitely recommend this college for me and you!
It was one of my last choices for college, but one my best choices in life.
Studied Mechanical Engineering and met some of my life long friends.
As many say, those four years were the best of my life. Despite moving on to a successful career I cherish the memories and will remember the campus forever. Will I ever donate to the ever begging alumni fund? Doubtful. ;)
Amazing things are happening here. Played a significant role in the man I am today. Only wished I took more advantage of all that it had to offer
Has a social engineering "diversity" class. That is a hostile environment where free speech is not allowed.
Great experience. Wonderful setting. World-class education.
The quote "UMass Amhert has Great Chemistry" says it all! I love the installations, the university provides the students with everything necessary to their succes. Food here is also excellent
My sister loves it there especially the community and how people are so friendly.
Beautiful campus, great public transportation, nice environment
good for college students!
Lost my clout glasses here once, still looking for them
Did Bill Cosby actually do those things?
Edit: He did
Judging by what I've seen, UMass takes thinking adults and turns them into screaming toddlers and screeching monkeys. Universities like this are murdering the human intellect and laughing about it.
Great school for vote it'd academics and activities!
One of the top 30 public universities in the nation according to US News. Amherst is also an amazing college town and Western Mass is just beautiful.
Old looking, outdated school that isn't very good academically either. If you want to go to a school in New England I would suggest UConn if you want a public school or Northeastern, BU, or BC if you want a private school. UMass should always be a backup plan.
Enjoyed my time here and attending was one of the best decisions of my life. The education and staff are world-class and the value is incredible. Would do it again in a heartbeat!
Beautiful place with fantastic memories. I worked very hard in the biology major and made a lot of great lifelong friends and connections. Also, we have the second largest collegiate science fiction library on the east coast, second only to MIT! (UMass Science Fiction Society)
One of my favorite campuses for people watching. Great place to walk a dog .
Relatively unremarkable large campus. However, climbing to the top of the tall tower gives great views of the surrounding scenery.
So far As a Grad student online I'm dissapointed, the tuition is very high for online course, in addition to credit charge they just keep adding more fees. They need much improvement on learning tools they have, it's outdated. The bursar office phone line is always busy and emailing them is useless. If u looking for online degree pick another school. It's not encouraging to finish ur degree here.
Campus is really big and nice.... We went on a trip to UMas.. People were really friendly....
One of my friends moved from Umass Lowell to here back in 2015.
Currently a student at UMass and I love it so much! From the food to the people to the classes, UMass is great, and there s something for everyone
I have a church brother who goes here. Sometimes, he is not loyal, but I still like him. His name is Chris with a double u.
This school is tough. But if you put your head down and work hard, you can make a lot out of it.
I have been teaching here for 30 years. I love the students: curious, smart, inquisitive, imaginative, critical, interested, wonderful human beings. It's amazing what this campus has become in recent years: beautiful new buildings, up to date class rooms, cutting edge teaching facilities and equipment, research support, a dedicated world-class faculty.
UMass Amherst - a place where you can learn a lot..for life! resources abound, opportunities are galore. hectic schedules, but totally worth it in every single way!
Great school in one of the best college towns anywhere in the country. Great atmosphere, top notch education, and now some amazing new facilities. Proud to be an alum. Plus, as I meet people throughout my life, I just find Umass people to be among the nicest, most grounded, least pretentious, and friendliest people I've ever met. In fact I even married one.
Excellent University.... Facilities can not be beat
Award winning dining. Enough said.

Also, cupcake decorating contests are awesome.
