The rooms are outdated, and the carpets need to be replaced, but the price was right and the location is great.

Anytime that I've ever needed to rent a room they've always had one available. Clean, reasonable, friendly and attentive to your needs. Not to mention the compliment breakfast and flexible checkout time for the ppl needing "just 5 more min and I'll get up." Highly recommended.

Rooms were clean, staff was nice and accommodating and the continental breakfast was good.

Nice room. The staff is so friendly. Had a couple problems, no big deal, and the staff was on it! The front desk clerk was awesome!

Has a few issues....hopefully it was due to the overwhelming evacuations that were going on. The staff we encountered seemed friendly and helpful. Location was ideal for us and would be willing to try it the place again to reevaluate.
That being said, the rooms needed to be properly cleaned. One should not find used soap in the room just checked into, grime in the tub, unknown substance on sink vanity, or hair that is not your own.

Location was great, very close to downtown, about 3 blocks. The staff was very friendly and helpful. There was nothing special about the amenities. The room was a suite, it had a small kitchen whose appliances had not been updated in many years. The extra room was very empty, but was large enough to fit a couple cots. The room was non-smoking but smelled like cigarettes. There was a convient bottle opener attached to the wall by the bathroom sink.

This place is cheap and really dodgy you get what you pay for. The rooms were clean but the parking lot and one of the stairways were full of homeless people. Definitely not a family friendly place but it's fine if you are an adult just needing a place to sleep on a long car ride

Was there very briefly for work. Place seemed quite run down however doesn't seem to be an unbearable place to stay. If prices are low, you probably get what you pay for.

Not what we expected. Room appears to be cozy from the online pictures. However, in person it looks like it needs some upgrades. Its supposed to be a non-smoking roo bathroom needs some TLC. The tub looks dirty as if it hasn't been deep cleaned and looks like it has traces of mold around the drain spout and the wall. The vent needs to be cleaned as it is full of dust. The heater is sub par. The thermostat control on the wall does not work in my opinion. The controls on the heater itself did not work well either. The electrical outlet behind the TV hutch is a spark away from being a fire hazard. It has to many things plugged into it. The beds are neat, clean, and comfortable though.

Overall a good hotel for the price. Rooms and property were clean and well maintained.

Rooms are ok semi clean but outdated but I'm staying for 2 plus months and was told I would have to change rooms every 3 weeks sorry not happening

This place is a dump. Gave me the wrong room, heater didn't work. I got in late, dropped my bags and left for a late meeting. Got back late and went to bed, got up only to find no towels, called the desk, guy told me I'd have to wait until after 8 when the maid service started. while waiting had some toast in the lobby breakfast area. 8:10am called again and the was told maids were running late but I'd be the first on the list. 845am decided to look on my own, found an unlocked linen closet and took my own towels. Not again, not this place . . . better service staying in my car for the night.

I showed up after making the reservation online, and I was given an OCCUPIED room! I returned to the desk, and was given another room that had the maid service request tag on the door: the room was left used and unclean. So of course I cancelled my reservation and took my business elsewhere.

Do not rent a room here the place is full of cockroaches and the rooms are not cleaned and smell horrible.

It's ok to sleep there is not noise, the AC cool too, but about the hotel the carpets are really dirty we were 4 I asked for 2 more bath towels they gave me but the next day they put me 2 again. Also we found spidersin the room. I think I'm not going to comeback.

Very unhappy with the very rude office morning ladies service. Been staying at this hotel for years and never have been treated so bad. The guy night worker has always helped me and is very nice. For this reason i will no longer stay at this hotel.

The parking lot was very clean, nice friendly staff and close to downtown. I'll go back!

Great place to stay here in Chico downtown but his bought out by a corporate place it's getting a little bit run down than it used to be but still the same place enjoy

Its ok ironing board cover needs to be chsnged and the carpet needs a deep cleaning. Other than that. Staff is awesome and helpful.

Smells. Dirty. Old and run down. Don't do it. Not worth the money there are other hotels nearby

The first room I got was not clean, the floor hadn't been vacuumed, the tables and cups were dirty, and the hand towel was not clean. It felt like I walked into an occupied room. When we complained we got upgraded to a suited that was cleaner but still not great. The furniture was funky, and the couch was broken. Once sun went down it was loud, there was people fighting outside. It was not the relaxing getaway I was hoping for. I gave it two stars because the guy at the front desk upgraded our room without hesitation. We don't plan on staying here ever again.

Stayed 03/09/18...Price was great on a budget....It had what we needed to get by but the Coffee maker didn't work. The housekeeping is not very thorough. There was hair sporadically lying around in bathroom
in tub, on floor, in sink. I always judge the cleanliness of a hotel by the presence of hairs in restroom,there should be none. ....Other than that and the druggies that wandered through occasionally (There were decent folks staying there as well of course) ...I would say the phrase "You get what you pay for" sums it up here.

Super nice and a superb bed to catch-up on much needed rest.

Clean rooms great staff..was upgraded to an amazing suite at no extra charge deffinetly recommend staying here!..

In March of this year, I made a reservation at Heritage Inn through their website. I received my confirmation email with my reservation number and all the details. A couple of days before the night of my stay, I received another reminder email about how the hotel was looking forward to my stay.

Since I had made the reservation for my mother and son to checkout CSU Chico, my mother decided to call the hotel to confirm the reservation. They told her that there was NO reservation. I called and talked to a completely unhelpful front desk person who told me that the reservation I had made was marked as "pending" in their system so they didn't hold a room. I pointed out that I their online reservation system, hooked into their website, had sent me a "confirmation" indicating that I had a room. I was told, "Sorry, nothing we can do". I was left to scramble to find another hotel room for my mother and son.

I wrote to the email address on the email confirmation, relaying my story and trying to give the manager an opportunity to address what happened and make things right. I have still received no reply after having waited a few weeks for a response.

If you want horrific customer service, and roll the dice on whether there will be a room waiting for you when you arrive, then this is your place. If you want to make certain that there is a room, I'd suggest you look elsewhere.

They had started room construction the day before we got there. Started working on the room next to us at 7am

The motel located in the heart of down town chico. The rooms are big ,Clean and the people are very kind .

It was a place to stay but really rundown and very uncomfortable beds and pillows. Noisy neighbors and awful breakfast selection.The juice was good though.Pool looked disgusting.

Love the jacuzzi sweets..must be training new house keepers..jacuzzi filter ..dirty..also jets were grimey...staff when I checked in..very helpful.friendly..my last night I needed laundry soap..sewing kit..always had it if you forgot...doesn't exist..the girl wasn't very friendly..Curt..little rude..too bad this place changed.
.hopefully they get back on track..when in town..I will stay again

The help and hospitality I received from one of the employees named Casey was exceptional and much appreciated, she was very polite and quick to help.

Excellent location to downtown Chico and the University it's exactly 6 blocks, walking blocks to the main ave. This rooms are come ready with a small refrigerator, microwave, and single cup coffee machine all included no extra charge. The hotel has a small pool, that I didn't use since it was super cold. The hotel also offers continental breakfast all your basics also included no extra charge. They offer bagel and cheese, muffins, coffee O.J. and other juices, cereals, boil eggs, tea, it was a good experience, fast check in and check out. And great, safe location.

Recently stayed there. Will never again!!. First off rooms are gross. When I talked to a blonde lady who said she was in charge of the housekeepers, she was absolutely rude and did nothing when I told her the garbage was not changed upon us entering. In the garbage where 2 used needles, considering I had my daughter with me this is not ok. I took the whole garbage can out to the dumpster and pitched it in, lucky I didn't do more. The pool looked like it had not been cleaned in a long, long time. I don't know how they stay in business. But I will not be returning and I warn other before you think of renting a room from here.

Staff is friendly but the rooms have a lot more work that needs to be done there. like... a lot!

Room was not bad, enjoyed the continental breakfast. Shame that the prices have skyrocketed since the camp fire though. Used to be $80/night, now its $120...

Check in was extemely slow even though there was only one person infront of us. The room was non-smoking but still stunk of cigarettes. Everything in the room was either filthy or broken. I would highly recommend avoiding this hotel at all costs.

Agressively average hotel. Beds are not very comfortable. Outlets are not convenient in location. Service is pretty good though.

Very dirty, load, checked in a 730pm a d room was not cleaned yet, gave me another with dirty carpet, stains on wall, no working tv, ciggerette smoke. Bad bad

I've never had an issue,vthe staff is great the rooms are clean. That's the reason I keep going back there. See you guys next time.

There was one cockroach in the bathroom not a problem after the first one but still not nice to see. The room smelled like smoke even though it was a non-smoking room. Not the best stay

The Hotel Room was fairly clean But the killer upset was the mirror was knocked off by previous bguest that left a note on the mirror and I got charged for a left over non clean room..

Dirty. No housekeeping services till halfway through day three, but even then quality of cleaning was marginal.

The rooms are large, quiet and amenities are great! With the rooms being slightly outdated, the staff makes up for it with their quality of service. Jenny, Kelly, Denah, Lecrieia (?spelling) are an excellent team. I'd recommend my family and friends to stay here anytime!!

First room they gave us reeked of cigarette smoke. Then there was used needles all over the parking lot and it was to over priced

This place was so nice the staff is friendly the rooms are amazing and you get free WiFi and there breakfast was the best they serve fresh and so good I totally recommend this place everyone should come check out

There was a *live* cockroach in our bathroom, one of the lights didn't work in the room, the wifi was so slow it was unusable, there was a gaping hole in the 'kitchen' cupboard revealing a rotten floor underneath, there were exposed wires from the TV hanging out and the cable router was sitting on the floor, the set-up for the control of the TV was so convoluted we could barely decipher it, the control for the jets in the tub was broken, and the jets were covered in mildew. Also, the continental breakfast was skimpy, and the muffins and danishes offered were stale. I'll never stay at this place again. It seemed like we were stuck in a room that was half-way through being re-furnished. The tub was truly disgusting. The only plus was the check-in night clerk was really nice.

With the exception of the night worker, it wasn't staying at. We pre-booked 2 queen beds, but they didn't have any; we reserved the room for 2 adults and 2 children, but they wanted us to have a room with 1 queen bed, because they couldn't find our reservation until after I showed them. The room was horrible. Mold, cracks, stains, and bugs. Wouldn't recommend it to anyone.

Staff were very nice. Rooms needed better cleaning and updates. Walls were dirty. Sheets dirty. Old room keys left in room. Floors dirty. Breakfast was very basic.

Walls and floors are thick. Toilet flushes really well. Bed is very comfortable. They were nice to have warmed up the room for us before we checked in. Shower curtains and bed sheets are a bit worn out. Water warms up really fast. Parking is a little bit cramped. Had a great 2 day stay.

A bit run down and our dog end up with an emergency vet visit because of marijuana in carpet.

Our room was very nice, except for the carpeting. It was terrible. Really needs replacing (room #117). Nice fridge, microwave, coffee maker, TV. Very comfortable. Washer-Dryer available.
Overall, very nice hotel.

Broken fridge, inexperienced staff, AC Unit was run down. Thought I booked two rooms, when I booked the last room. Graduation weekend. Let us park our car before check in.

Stayed here with my husband last weekend I've been here once before a long time ago in the place has gotten way better since then the staff was super friendly and very helpful our beds were very clean everything looked a lot cleaner and nicer than the last time we had been here. we will definitely be back and recamend my friends to come here!!

A place to much nesty , the bathrom never clean the tub wall look black and they have bedbug.

These people wouldn't accommodate my husband's PTSD support animal and required a 250.00 deposit on top of what you pay for the room they couldn't explain why such a large deposit I only needed to get some sleep, we were both hot and tired,

Basically this place is an upgrade from staying in a tent. The front doors have gaps between the bottom and the threshold to allow the cockroaches to freely roam from inside the room to outside.

The room was ok. Need a little updating and an electrical outlet replaced.
