Her Majesties Theatre Melbourne Review

Great venue, however the second floor of seats do overhang and prevent the back few rows from seeing the entire stage. Mainly only an issue when the performance makes use of the upper half of the stage (seeing Aladdin, so magic carpet ride and scenes like that).
Able to provide small cushions to help children/small people get that bit of extra height to see the stage better.

Great theatre doesn't matter where you sit you can see 96% of the stage

One of the all time great theatres of Australia. I'll never get tired of seeing shows here.

We saw Aladdin ,we had good seats enjoyed the show, & its a beautiful old theatre .

Lots of restricted viewing, especially in back of lower section.

Lovely space. Clean facilities...beverages aren't a too pricey.

I loved the ballet performance of a Midsummer Night s Dream by Li Cunxin and Liam Scarlett, absolutely mesmerising and powerful!

A beautiful venue, easy to see the stage from anywhere. I love that you can pre order drinks.

Lovely old theatre in the same style as the beautiful Opera House in Wellington. Good view and sound even high up the top.

Very intimate atmosphere, smaller than I expected, compared to the Princess and Regent theatres.

The Carole King musical was amazing! What a voice!!

Went to see Muriel's Wedding and had a great experience. I'm 183cm tall and found the leg room worse than a Qantas Boeing 737 and just glad I didn't have someone sitting on one side so that I could move my legs to one side.

I feel so lucky that MELBOURNE still has a grand old dame (built in 1886 and classified under National Trust of Australia) for all 1700 each seating to enjoy! Thank you. The lay out, the decor...

Each time I go there, the shows complement the grand old dame with colourful costumes and illustrative props!! The grand finale show of Alladin in January was just delightful as well!

Thank you for maintaining this beautiful venue! Princess Theatre along Spring St is a little older and a bit more magnificent !!

One of Melbourne's great theatres with brilliant shows.

Great theater. Only criticism is the traffic flow on the way in and out was pretty constricted, which wasn't helped by a 'selfie space' in a thoroughfare. Overall a good experience though

Muriel's Wedding was awesome. Great mixed of nice and well performed new songs for the show blended with sing-along ABBA music. Super cast!

Great access everywhere, wide open spaced foyer and a really good, large disabled toilet and the wheelchair views are excellent

Amazing performance. Great view from anywhere you sit and unlike other places they follow through with rules. The lady in front of me went on her phone and a lady actually came and told her to get off.

Shrek was fantastic. Staff were very friendly & helpful

Clean, comfy chairs. Lots of room between people and ample leg space. Good air conditioning in a 41degree day.

Saw Kinky Boots there back in January and it was great. I like the historic feel of HMT added up to our unique theatre entertaining experience. Will see Aladdin tonight and I'm sure it will be another great night at HMT.

The School of Rock is showing at this magnificent theatre and is sensational! The old girl was rocking with the Vibe. You must see this show!
