Needs more seating for wheelchairs only and lacking enough woman's toilets. Also when you book thinking you get a box of chocolates to find out it's only maltesers.. that's not good enough for the money we paid.

On Saturday 12th of January, myself and my family attended the afternoon session of School of Rock. My 9yr old son is in a wheelchair and I cannot thank the staff on duty enough for their assistance, kindness and care the provided us, before the show, intermittance and upon the finish of the show.
They made our whole experience enjoyable and stress free. Thank you again to all of the staff.

Just a lovely old iconic building... This really is the most beautiful Melbourne theatre!
& over the years, I've been to see several shows at Her Majesty's & I've always thought that the staff have seemed so friendly & helpful... (Even though they probably have had different staff work there every time - I really thought that was worth mentioning still - as it is true!)

Another one of Melbourne's historic theatre's. There are two bar areas with food, and merchandise and box office in between. Beautiful interior with comfortable seating and not to big which makes for a intimate evening. We saw Charlie and the chocolate factory which was a great show with some nice surprises. Staff are friendly as well. Cheers

Went and saw Charlie and the chocolate factory during kids week! It was such a ball! The kids had a great time and the adults got to laugh at the inappropriate jokes layered over the colour and child friendly show! Fantastic!

Theatre was amazing. We had a family of 14 so thought it was going to be tricky but helpful staff, all seats are great views of the stage. Toilets had a bit of a queue but not unexpected. Close to public transport and cheap parking if you check you ticket for the discount code. Highly recommend for all ages!

Her Majesty's is a small theater feeling it's age. Very cozy and excellent for watching shows. I went to the ballet. The stage may have been a little small but it had been beautifully adapted for the production. Nice venue.

The theatre was beautiful hasn't changed since I was a kid. The musical was un believable my 8yr old son and I loved it! Money well spent. If your going forget the 1pm session I paid $60 for parking at the undercover next door however after 4pm I think it's a flat rate off $22 also if you prebook and use the code from the theatre website parking is $6 also in the evening. I wish I went to the 7pm session. I didn't catch public transport because buses were replacing trains on my line

Seats need a lot of attention as far as coverings and spacing, the kiosk area should be central in the foyer so it can be approached from any side like a bar. The tier angle for the seating is not doing any favors either as the further towards the back you are the more of the top of the stage you miss out on because of the upper level seating.

Place was definitely built when people were shorter.

Went to a show 'the school of rock' for my husbands 60th. Was fantastic. Highly recommend. Also had a pre theatre dinner in one of the function rooms which was awesome. Service and food very good standard. Quan looked after us fantastically. Could not do enough to make our night special. Only reason I cant give 5 stars is because senior theatre person swopped out our special seats for lesser ones at the last minute. That was bad form and disrespectful to their customers.

I went to see Kinky Boots. It was a beautyful theatre with that particular enchanting smell that some theatres have. And also have a ot of restaurant around in case you want to grab a bite before the function or drinks after.

Went here to see the Willy Wonka musical. It was an amazing show, the cast were so talented. The tickets were very responsible in price and the seats were great. The venue was easy to access from the CBD. The staff were great and the venue had various options for merchandise, food and drink, all at very reasonable prices. If you get a chance to see this show I would highly recommend. Just a really good night out

Love the ambiance of this theatre, it's history etc but oh dear....the seats are just too close to the ones in front of you and impossi ble for others to pass you without you standing. On the other hand, the acoustics and the placement of seats so that no one else's head is in the way .....that's excellent.
