My boyfriend was in the burn unit due to 2nd degree frostbite to both his feet. The staff were extremely rude. Treated him very disrespectfully, and tried being intimidating towards him. He decided to check out of the hospital due to that treatment. When I drove down to pick him up and bring him to another hospital, they refused to allow him to use a wheel chair. He had to crawl on his hands and knees out of the burn unit. Unbelievably sad and inferiating. I wouldn t recommend this hospital to anyone for any reason.

Due to a few great staff, Ann, Colleen, Bonnie, Lindsay, and Mercy, I am giving the one star!
So many complaints from lack of communication, skipped labs and medications, countless hours of not being checked, lack of urgency and care, lack of cleanliness, cost of parking, just to name a few... We are very displeased with the facility! I highly recommend seeking medical attention at another hospital!

Switching to HCMC- specifically the Downtown location- was the best decision I've ever made for my health. Dr. Brian Imdieke fought for me when other physicians hadn't even fully listened to me. I was heard and cared for properly and finally given medication i can't believe i was living without. The medical staff is amazing, helpful and personable.

Doctors didn t listen to me and ignored everything I had to say. The nurses were nice though, so 1 extra star for them.

Billed me 3 times but only sent me 1 bill for $105. Boy I was so happy that my bill was so low! Jokes on me- I owed $1,400 more and never was billed or notified about it. I had to manually check online to make sure I didn t owe anything more.

I'm so tired of being misdiagnosed about illness at hcmc. I was in their er 4/4/2017 about being sick in my new apartment since i moved and started feeling pain my chest so i decided to go to the er. I was there like 2 hours and after my diagnosed they discharged me and when I came home and saw discharge paper they never even mention any of the symptoms at all. This continuing everytime I go there. I believe it's either based on nationality or some other motives and I must meet with the person in charge of this entire hospital. i'm sick of this discrimination against me and can no longer take it. I have no problem with my primary doctor, but too many fishes things going on at this hospital I think against me Since clients relations don't want to listen to me I guest this is another way they might listen by giving this review. I dont want to be around people who dont care for me. I will always see my primary doctor because she listen but the rest? I don't know, but i will see how things go from now on.

The clients and visitors is a real S@!# show at this hospital. The employees are very helpfull at the surgical P4 desk. The security guard on duty this morning was top notch and very helpfull when i needed a wheelchair. But the first thing i saw when arriving here was a car with a bullet hole in the drivers side door. Not a nice first impression for visitors coming here for Doctors appointments.
Over the staff was really good and helpfull.

People (nurses, visitors, staff) always smoking right outside the building. Misdiagnosed in Urgent Care several times. We have great health care and pay our co-pay before leaving, yet every single time we end up getting a statement, calling and confirming that we already paid, and then getting a debt collectors notice several months later. Unless you are dying, find somewhere else to go.

My wife was hit by a car in uptown on 6/13 at about 11:45 p.m. She was transported via ambulance to the ER here. Along the way, there was a mix up in which her phone and purse were left behind in the ambulance while she was transported inside for care.

I'm writing this review primarily in regards to the actions of one nurse, Tony (glasses, brown hair I believe). All staff were professional and courteous, but he went above and beyond.

When I would flag down staff for either inquiry or to prompt a response (ie water, blanket, etc.) they would commonly say, "I will see if someone can help you," or something similar- it felt like "passing the buck." Multiple times this happened, and often I had to repeat the request to multiple people to get it completed.

Never with Tony, though. Dude was on it, and you could tell he enjoyed helping people. We talked about the area she was hit in and what a pain driving there is (stupid, mindless, but overwhelmingly beneficial small talk), he also flat-out said, "I will personally find your phone and bring it up to you" and did just that. He put that extra effort into his career, and it showed.

If a marketing manager or boss is reading this, you should find him, and give him a raise, bonus, paid day off, or even a simple "atta boy"; It's people like him that make all the difference.

I am in the process of switching the clinic. They charge the service which was never performed and this has happened multiple times.

Another error from them where annual preventive visit should be covered, and because they keep sending an incorrect code, our insurance is denying the payment.

Was swindled into making an eye appointment with their clinic only to realize after that it wasn't covered by insurance. So instead of the $10 copay, I ended up paying $220, after a 10% discount they so graciously offered me. Was also charged $420 for ONE visit to their endocrinology clinic. Also had a very hard time getting them to finalize documents and prescriptions so I could get my insulin pump supplies. Took weeks for them to just finish the authorization needed for Medtronic.

I'd suggest going somewhere else. I'm 100% looking for a new endocrinologist.

First let me say thank you to all those who helped with my stiches and made me feel better about my situation!

Definitely took a long time to get helped but everyone treated me kindly and did what they could to provide me a service!

I don t really know how things could have been improved but I d would definitely return if I had to!

My suggestion is that y all figure out a better way for people to call and get information about what s happening with them or when they visited...took me 5 transfers and an hour to figure out stuff!

That doctors at that hospital are useless. This is my second time that I am going to have my nose operated and they leave me with stupid things that are not worth going to and I will never return to that hospital and I will not go to the hospital. Brooklyn park clinic pity doctors are already jediondo and does not attend very well very bad service they have just want to charge and do nothing are good ones I'm not going to waste my time or go out with those people as I have other appointments with that clinic and that hospital because they don't wait for me because I'm going to cancel them and I'm never going to see any of those who have no education. They don't serve as doctors as I hate to have to waste my time with those people. Nadriz that was all because I had to find a professional doctor and with education so that I can oppress my nose and still an old woman if she has eggs to tell me the opreacion I have to grapple it because the stupid old woman that I having insurance is not going to pagra na go for that I go to another place where the operation covers me my medical insurance was one of the worst experience

Both of my daughters were treated in this ER two years apart. Very caring staff and took care of my daughters very well. I was treated through the Parkside clinic staff for back pain and Dr Printon was amazing. I was also seen at the St Anthony clinic with a same day appointment by Dr. Ramchandani and she was extremely kind and thorough. The new Richfield clinic is super nice.

We were transferred here from 3 hours north. It was a long day needless to say; however, my husband got excellent care. The specialist took a couple of hours to meet us in the ED prior to admission but that s to expected. Every doctor and nurse that was part of his care was top notch. The complaints I see are the same as any hospital.... people weren t treated as quickly as they wanted to be... mmmm you need to remember this is a level 1 hospital with an amazing amount of foot traffic. If you aren t seen immediately take that as a blessing

One star is even giving this hospital too much. I was involved in an accident over a year ago and the staff I have dealt with have all been horrendous. I have left 9 voicemails in the billing department to be called back. I have talked to several people who either tell me "it's not my job" or "I can't help you". I am being billed 10,000 for one ER visit which is ridiculous. I told them not to do a CT scan and they did after giving me duiladid. The nurses were all rude and treated me and my boyfriend disrespectfully. I have been trying to get anyone in that hospital to help me get my bill actually submitted to insurance accurately but literally everyone I have talked to has been too lazy. Honestly if anything ever happened again I would risk it and drive to Mayo than ever step foot in this hospital again. All it takes is five minutes for a staff to say "Let me help you, I don't know the answer but let me find someone who does"

Do not go here if you can help it.

Do not go here if you can help it.
I only required urgent care services, yet they forced me to go to the ER because I disclosed that I suffered from depression. They then told me I could not leave until I got a psych evaluation, even though I insisted that it wasn't necessary. My mental illness was constantly belittled by the staff in the ER and I overall felt like they cared more about making my charges as high as possible than they did about helping me.
This institution is money hungry and will offer no constructive help when you try to dispute your bill. The woman in the billing office was extremely rude, could barely answer any of my questions, and tried to shoo me off of the phone as quickly as possible.
I would give them zero stars if I could.

I have been dealing with the billing department for the past 7 months for them trying to figure how to bill my insurance. They billed them for the wrong care which caused my insurance to refuse the claim. I have been trying and trying to work through this issue but they just said they'd fix the issue and then never did. After going through all this trouble off and on for 6 months they didn't inform me of anything and just sent the claim to credit collector... Thanks Hennepin Healthcare, I will never be using you again.

Second or third worst hospitals with Zero Stars I would say, uncompassionate, nflict emotional harm, practice fraudulent psychiatry or malpractice, told me they might not have the technology to diagnose what's wrong with you. Wrongly medicate causing more potential problems and ignore serious and life threatening conditions medically speaking. Also billed me for 30 minutes when they only spent a minute with me not reexamining or getting to bottom of serious condition and billed me for 45 days or do, no help, imprisoned there, fraudulent psychiatry that was unwanted, unneeded, just wrong, saw 5 doctor's ad impatient there, worst imprisonment ever, no medical care for real problems.

Absolutely horrible. A family member was recently here, and while the staff are nice. They are extremely unorganized, lack communication, and constantly contradict one another. The majority of the time the nurses would have no clue what was going on, although testing was ordered hours prior, and many tests that were ordered had zero follow through despite Doctor's orders.

If you are looking to get disregarded, treated poorly, and not cared for, look no farther!! HCMC is your place! Over the last 3 months I have had many visits to the hospital following a large surgery, and I can confidently say HCMC has a systemic problem of poor patient advocacy. I would walk 10,000 miles with broken legs before ever trusting HCMC with my care again.

I wish I could take a picture but theres ants on the ground in the second waiting room. And this is what we're suppose to call a hospital? Ick. We have been here since 4, we went to the urgent care and it was quick then we were escorted to the emergency wait room, then we were told to go to the second waiting room. We've been nearly hear for an hour, my boyfriend has some sort of food poising or bug/flu. There has been people being called before us that didn't get to the second waiting room until after we did. It is now 5:44pm and we are now just being seen. The room wasn't even ready when we got in, wrappers and cups in the room. He asked us to step out and wait for him to clean the room. Rooms should already be ready in my opinion but terrible place. Do better Hcmc.

I was brought to HCMC on May 6th in a road cycling accident; the ER and Surgical care was top notch, 5 stars (and that's what really mattered). The care I received in STNU4 (Surgical-Trauma-Neuro Unit 4) until I was discharged was pretty good too. Thanks again, HCMC.

Horrible exeriences here specifically in the mental health areas. When in the psych ward the attitude of the staff reflects the patients recovery. Many MHA put in no effort and leave the patient needs to their least priority. They would rather be behind the desk. And that is NOT what they are there for. At the adult psychiatry clinic nurses are rude. Doctors are to quick in assessing. This place is horrible.

HCMC is a great hospital. The outpatient clinics are top notch, and I can say this with certainty as I've been a patient at one of the clinics for more than 25 years, and at multiple other clinics for either one-time or time-limited care during those years. I've also been hospitalized at HCMC on multiple occasions for surgeries and/or acute medical problems. WITHOUT EXCEPTION I have found the doctors to have a very high level of knowledge, no doubt in part because they are a teaching hospital. Also without exception I've found the care to be excellent, including at the emergency room for injuries. While my insurance allows me to go to almost any hospital or clinic, I continue to choose HCMC for all of my care.

Hands down the worst hospital and clinic that i have ever been to. Most of the Doctors disregard all questions and concerns. Heaven forbid they should treat you for pain. They will not do it. My name is Amber Washington-Howard and I have CKD(chronic kidney disease) i am at stage five(the end stage) I am 29 yrs old and have about 5% function left my husband is a blood and tissue match. We started with HCMC about a yr ago to try and do a transplant we have been dieting, exercising, doing test 3x or more a month doing everything the doctor has been telling us to do and after all this yesterday they told us that they are denying us to do surgery because his A1C is at a 5.6 and he is African American. This is a normal range for an A1C 6.5 or greater is diabetic so if he was Caucasian with this A1C they would let my husband do the surgery that can save my life but because we are African American we get stigmatized for something that may or may not happen.....We don't want special treatment just to be treated the same way anyone else would be.

Needed an ER visit due to an emergency. I arrived at 10PM and was checked in quickly. Then proceeded to wait over an hour before Triage nurse even saw me. Then, finally admitted to ER ward where 6 doctors and a scribe show up. All watch while inspecting. The person inspecting me was the supervising resident, who in fact was the best out of all of them. One hour after this, a random nurse shows up and checks me again. Leaves. 30 minutes later another nurse shows up and requests who I am. Leaves. Then, another doctor shows up and checks me again. It is now 1:30am and I still haven't been to the exam room. I request my doctor to come check me out after she disappeared again and now 2am. She finally shows up at 2:30 and apologies and states, in clouded terms, that she forgot about me. Never get to go to exam room. Instead, she does a 5 minute long procedure which could have been completed 3 hours ago. I get a nurse at 3AM discharging me and she doesn't even tell me how to exit the ER. I had to ASK!

I hate you HCMC. If this would have been an actual emergency, I would have lost my eye. Soooo, yea, thanks for your terrible service. I know you won't read this, and even if you did, your old hags everywhere wouldn't even care.

I took my sister to an appointment at HCMC in Mpls MN today. I used their valet service, Healthpark Hospitality. They lost my keys--there were keys loose in a drawer, keys laying on the desk, keys everywhere, but not my keys. After nearly an hour, I was handed a cell phone and told it was "his boss". He offered a taxi ride home or a locksmith to open the car door. And then what? You lost my keys including my house key. They were very clear they were not responsible for anything on that key ring but my car key. No customer service and no compassion. After an hour one of the guys found my keys. My sister was just about out of oxygen and I was fuming. I asked about compensation and was told they would give me my $6 bucks back. Lousy service.
