My wife was hit by a car in uptown on 6/13 at about 11:45 p.m. She was transported via ambulance to the ER here. Along the way, there was a mix up in which her phone and purse were left behind in the ambulance while she was transported inside for care.
I'm writing this review primarily in regards to the actions of one nurse, Tony (glasses, brown hair I believe). All staff were professional and courteous, but he went above and beyond.
When I would flag down staff for either inquiry or to prompt a response (ie water, blanket, etc.) they would commonly say, "I will see if someone can help you," or something similar- it felt like "passing the buck." Multiple times this happened, and often I had to repeat the request to multiple people to get it completed.
Never with Tony, though. Dude was on it, and you could tell he enjoyed helping people. We talked about the area she was hit in and what a pain driving there is (stupid, mindless, but overwhelmingly beneficial small talk), he also flat-out said, "I will personally find your phone and bring it up to you" and did just that. He put that extra effort into his career, and it showed.
If a marketing manager or boss is reading this, you should find him, and give him a raise, bonus, paid day off, or even a simple "atta boy"; It's people like him that make all the difference.
