Bass Pro Shop, Springfield, MO is unlike any other shop in the world! Part museum, part hunting, fishing, part camping, part boat and supplies, all liberally doused with waterfalls, live fish, ducks, alligators and gars. . .

With the exception of one or two clearly advanced fish, most of them just float in a semi catatonic state, with a slack jaw expression and vacant stare. Bass Pro? More like bass novice. I truly believe they are trying to pass off regular untrained fish as professional. Really good beef jerky though!

I love Bass pro. I could walk around the whole day just looking at things here. They have so many of the higher end hunting and fishing items that most other stores do not have. The prices reflect the higher quality of the items. Also their mounts are amazing. The staff is very helpful also

There is a very nice restaurant there too.

It's BASS PRO for Pete's sake! Even if you don't have deep pockets it's always a great just to gawk at all the cool stuff. I got zero problem as a 60 year old acting like a lil kid when I visit this place. And about 40 minutes away, it's a easy road trip to spend several hours with my wife or son walking around. Thanks BASS PRO for GREAT sensory overload!!

The store itself is beautiful. My husband bought a single coke in a bottle and he was charged $19.60 for the drink on his debit card. He did not notice till he had left the store. . A soon as we got home, we called the Bass Pro office to let them know and we were put on hold for over 30 minutes...we finally hung up and called back.... only to be put on hold for 20 more minutes then disconnected. We had been a supporter of Bass Pro for over 20 years... it's too bad they couldn't give us the courtesy to take our phone call.

As a local, this store is the worst. Once you've seen the animals, which most locals do as kids, there is nothing here you couldn't either buy local from Fin and Feather, or cheaper from Walmart. The staff treat locals with indifference at best. If you don't act or look like a tourist they will ignore you. The white hair "gentlemen" behind the fishfinder desk would only answer my questions in a gruff "no" with no additional information. When asked further about a certain fishfinder it was interested in buying he just continued shuffling brochures and watching tourists. When I told him, I'd just use Amazon he shrugged. Go for the animals but don't stay for the shopping. It's a tourist trap selling overpriced products you can get from locals and help your local economy. Jim and Johnny are not champions of nature, they are rich exploiters of it and this is the temple of that exploitation

This is you usual Bass Pro Shops times about 20 in size. You could spend 2 days seeing everything and it would be worth it. The attention to detail is incredible... stairway ballsters to the gun museum are antique rifles. Unless you look closely, many things just blend in they are done so well. What an amazing place. We drove up from Dallas and it was worth the drive.

This definitely is the Bass pro of all Bass pro s. There is so much to do and see here you could easily dedicate an entire day here. Between admiring all the fancy retail and the museums, I was pretty overwhelmed with only having 3 hours at this place. Definitely a landmark tourist spot in Springfield

This place is huge. In addition to the store there are several small museums inside, many examples of taxidermy, live fish and other animals. We did not have time to see the new aquarium unfortunately.

It is a solid retail experience. They have a wide variety of goods and brands with decent pricing. The Wonders of Wildlife is a fantastic experience. It is a little pricey at $40, but you can easily spend three or four hours in there.

Wahoo

SHAME ON YOU BASS PRO SPRINGFIELD.

SHAME ON YOU BASS PRO SPRINGFIELD.
I have lived in Springfield Missouri for the past 25+ years. Last year my wife and I decided to become full-time RVrs and travel this great country. During all of our travels we have frequently stayed the night at Bass Pro Shops due to the safety and warmth of the staff. We are constantly asked where we're from and we tell them Springfield which brings up how great our Bass Pro store is and the awesome world's of wildlife museum. We came back to Springfield last night after driving NINE HOURS from Mississippi to spend the summer in the ozarks. When we got here at 11:15 PM we decided to stay in the parking lot at our favorite store... Bass Pro. After quietly parking at an out of the way spot we started to eat dinner after a very long day. Then a staff member named "Dwight" knocked on our door and told us that we were not allowed to stay there and needed to pack up and leave. WAIT... WHAT? We politely told him that we had stayed several times in the same place in the past and our friends had done the same. Dwight told us that regardless of this... we had to go. He also stated that if we refused he would have to call an officer. So after coming to realize that we were NOT WELCOME at a company that specializes at outdoor lifestyles.. we packed up and left at 11:30PM to find somewhere to stay. After all these years shopping there and spending countless dollars... it feels like we've been betrayed by the illusion of hospitality. WE WILL NEVER RETURN TO THIS STORE AGAIN. SHAME ON YOU BASS PRO SPRINGFIELD.

I loved this place! I'd never been to one before and ended up spending several hours in there! They have museums and an aquarium inside, it's amazing! I definitely recommend stopping if you have the chance!

If only they put as much time in effort into their employees than they do in the store decorations and attractions.. A+ on attractiveness of the store D on employee customer service, most of the time it seems as if an employee has a chip on their shoulder or something is bothering them. Exceptions to this would be knife department, customer service counters, and the NRA Museum
