WOuld like to have rated it LESS than 0 stars. From Bridgette the scheduler to division managers Jackie and Kathleen, EVERYONE that works there are apparently LIARS>.. I feel EXTREMELY bad for the elderly people who do not have someone to be their VOICE... because THIS company does NOT care about the elderly. I don't even understand how they are in business.

When my mother-in-law had a major stroke, and needed home health care, the aides with Helping Hands were caring and great with her. They made sure she got the care she needed and gave our family peace of mind. The OT, PT, and Nurse were also wonderful, and worked with her, showing patients and kindness when she would become frustrated. I would use them again if needed! Thanks Helping Hands!

There's many things I could say about this company, after working both in the field and the office i saw first hand the disorganization, miscommunication, and a lack of understanding from the companies D.O.N. Long story short I was glad i can look back and say it was a learning experience for me, however if I knew in the beginning that the company is mainly a family run operation with with those individuals receiving preferential treatment, I wouldn't of wasted as much time and effort into trying to the company a success. I would Not recommend HHH for their services or potential employment.

I have been an employee of Helping Hands Healthcare for 7+ years. I have held various positions within both administration and field work. Helping Hands provided flexible employment as I put myself through college. I built friendships with my clients and coworkers along the way. Thank you Helping Hands for all you have done for me and this community!

U r given a schedule. Changes frequently with little or no notice. Phone calls are seldom returned that day. Aides spend too much time sleeping or on smart phone. I am told they r overworked and understaffed. Maybe that the reason for the unsatisfactory service.

Let me start by saying, I love what I do, thee only reason I'm still here. I did not know till almost my 1 year anniversary with the company, field staff (aides) aren't paid for holidays or off. I fight for full time. I am not able to afford insurance (been with them 3 1/2 years now. I make 11.75$/hour. With covid 19, we don't get hazard pay either. Very little mileage, AND you DON'T get mileage for running errands. 3 stars for my beautiful clients.

Several years dealing with this apathetic agency...Services are extremely unreliable for our loved one and our loved one was made to feel badly when calling about numerous cancelled cleaning appointments, that elderly loved one is now fearful of the agency . "Helping Hands" is more accurately "Minimal Effort, Rude and Discourteous". They have a high turnover rate of staff. They need the State Licensure Board to help them get back on track or just close them down. Protect your Senior...go elsewhere.

I've worked for quite a few healthcare agencies and this is by far the best. I've been here for 2 years and love the company that i work for. The people are great and our nurses, therapist, and aides are even better. From Santa visits at Christmas to going above and beyond, there is no doubt that our client's come first.

I would give no stars but sadly that's not an option. This was the worse company I have ever worked for and the clients weren't taken care of like they should have been Not because of the home health aides but because the company doesn't care for their clients. I highly recommend you search for another company for your loved ones.

We are having issues with a different person coming out each day and no one really knowing what they are suppose to be doing.

The aids have not really done anything to help, instead by the time they leave my mother is upset and I have to spend the rest of the day calming her back down.

It is not worth it - canceling the service.

This workplace has a few problems. I m a DSP (Direct Support Professional) and I m a current nursing student. I wanted to get a second job so I applied here and got hired. They made the job sound so perfect. Light housekeeping, conversation with the clients, shower/bathe, etc. This was what I was looking for because it s what I currently do. I started and finished with all the training within a few days and then I got my schedule. I quit within two weeks because of how awful it was. First, this job is not Home Health Care. This job is a glorified maid. Repeat. A GLORIFIED MAID. Every house I worked in all I did was clean. I worked in 14 different homes if that tells you anything. It wasn t light housekeeping either. All the clients made me get on my hands and knees to scrub their floors or shower floors. I was being made to clean an entire house in 1-3 hours. I was cleaning areas that I don t even clean in my own home. Second, the company has the right to just switch your schedule in an instant. If someone calls off or your original client cancels services they will call you and have you go somewhere else without even asking. It s because you re scheduled for a certain amount of hours so they can pull or place you anywhere they like during those hours without your permission. Third, they don t pay for gas mileage. Even though you drive SO much. I was driving about 15-20 minutes in between each clients house. You re spending more money in gas then what you re making. Fourth, the pay is laughable. This job is a joke. They need to be more truthful with what the job entitles. The only thing they have going for them is all the office staff are amazing, the clients are amazing, and how they are dedicated to helping people.

If you plan on making money I don t recommend working here, you get paid by the client not by the hour. You don t get paid half as much as you should considering how much you work. All the good reviews on here are because the company has the employees do so

If I could rate less, I would. Worst company I have ever worked for by far. They Dont seem to have any concern for their clients or their aids. Its family run so they very obviously getting held higher than the rest. Several occasions I would be sent out to a new client, with no notice, and be double or triple booked with someone. As well as more than one aid being sent out to one home scheduled for only one aid. No organization at all.

I worked for HHH for 5 years in various positions- HHA, scheduling, recruitment, management- and it was great to be giving back to the community. The company does a lot to help the senior citizens, especially those who may not be as fortunate as others. It was a joy to be able to be a part of celebrating clients' 100th birthday parties and organizing "santa visits" to deliver donations. The company also has been able to empower a lot of workers through their CNA training program, to give them the training they need to work in this field.

I love working for Helping Hands. I look forward to seeing my clients every week and checking in on them. I am grateful to be working with such a compassionate agency, they have been kind and been there to help with anything I needed. The hours and schedule works around yours, you get to pick your days and hours which I was thankful for considering how difficult it was to find work prior to HHHC due to limited availability and no childcare. I highly recommended this agency whether you re looking to work in this field or looking for aides for a family member.

I work for Helping Hands Healthcare and it was one of the best choices I ever made in my life. I had experience working in a nursing home which was not a great fit for me because of the horribly long shifts I was required to work. I felt like I gave up my biggest passion in life (being a mom) in order to put food on the table. I became friends with my daughters friends Mom who was in home health care. She raved about being able to " make her own hours" in order to fit her life. I took a leap of faith and quit a very unhappy work life at a factory in 2017 to take control of my life and happiness. From the day of my interview Helping Hands has kept their promise to work me the hours I choose. These past two years have been the happiest years of my life because I have been able to be the Mom I have desperately longed to be while making lifelong friends/ almost family with my clients. There is a saying " happy wife... Happy life." In my case its " Happy work life, happy life." I thank Helping Hands and my clients for allowing me to make a dream come true. Thank you!

Helping hands plays games with their customers and their lives. You call with a complaint and they make promises they have no intention keeping. They practice retribution on both any employee who complains as well as any customer that complains. These are legitimate complaints. I plan to ask the State of Ohio to investigate them. Will ask medicaid same.

Helping hands would be better if they only knew how to schedule their associates in a timely manner geared toward the clients. Often They have tendency of scheduling outside the pre-scheduled times. They have no consistency on time nor of the people they schedule to send out. When challenged, they have the audacity to get upset when you refuse their schedule time. The coordinator associated from Eldery Service Program, Candace, is arrogant and disrespectful. I find her appalling when it comes to communicating with black people. She acts like she is doing you a favor, when its actually her job.

My wife works for this company and they have been nothing but good to her as well as myself. When I was out of work they gave me a job so that I could continue to support my family until I could find something in my field. Not many companies care about their employees in that way and would give their spouse a job. In addition, my mother is a client at Helping Hands. She had a massive stroke and had to have part of her skull removed. After more than a month of hospital and rehab stay we were able to bring her home with the help of Helping Hands and their staff including Physical Therapy, Speech Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Nursing, and home health aides. Without their wonderful help and care this would not be possible. I am very grateful for everything they do and the expertise I see in their field staff. i do not have to worry that my mother is in good hands and she is progressing well.

I only worked there for a few days after deciding it just wasn't for me. The clients were wonderful. I felt like I spent most of my time in my car running errands (and HH does not pay mileage for that).

I was not paid for the hours I worked, and I presume it is because I quit without notice.

This is totally wrong and probably against the law, but I didn't pursue the matter.

I'm so lucky to have the opportunity to work here. Every one cares so much and wants to see you succeed. I feel supported and welcome and have gained a second family. Every thing I do is a learning experience and will be highly beneficial to me in the long run as I am pursuing a career in healthcare and am going to school as well. I encourage my friends to apply to work here as well since we are almost always hiring. Even the tough days can be good because it teaches me to be more diligent, a better worker, and learn to see the positives in life.

They neglect there clinics. My mother hasn't seen a home health aid bit one time this entire month. The company seems to be a click of friends and NOT a professional health care provider. The aids do NOTHING bit sit the entire time they are here to assist her with her adls. The aids also brought a stranger 'her friend' into my parents home. Searched for used cars on my personal computer, she said she was bored. Would leave during her shift to pick up her boyfriend/friends. Always on there cell phones. And if the management will talk to you on the phone, they will agrue and believe there staff over whats really going on. Then go on to make you feel like your wrong... When you watched the aid commit all these infractions.

Wow I have read some of the reviews that clients and family have left. And suprisingly not all aides are poor aides. Sometimes I think that things get hectic in the field and In the office. It seems that they are working towards getting the aides to the clients on time and as needed. We have some great workers in the office that go a extra mile to take care of the things that are thrown out at them.

Helping Hands has a terrible, terrible turn over. ...

Helping Hands has a terrible, terrible turn over. If you want a different person going out to your families house every week then this is the place to be. I came to check on my grandmother and an aide that was in her home smelled like marijuana and had her phone in her hand the entire time. Shes had multiple aides call in "sick" and not able to come out. They need to do better screening and they maybe need to pay a little more for quality aides who actually want to work and want to help. These people really need help. I learned that this job "teaches" free CNA classes to completely inexperienced people, slap their names on a badge and send them out to someones home. I dont know about you, but i want someone with proper training to care for my family. Also, customer service is not helpful. Never available when you call with a concern. I hope this helped. I have heard similar complaints for my grandmas friends so trust me, its not just my "bad experience". Dont waste your time here!

I have worked for Helping Hands for years now, bot...

I have worked for Helping Hands for years now, both in the office and in the field as a home health aid. Having seen both sides of the business, I can tell you first hand how difficult the coordination of home care is. Despite this, however, the office staff and management of Helping Hands work diligently to do everything they can to ensure that their elderly clients receive the care they need. Management always treated me fairly and was very flexible when it came to my position. After a couple years, I decided to go to college and Helping Hands generously offered me training and a position in the field so that I could continue to work for them, around my school schedule. Working in the field, I met all kinds of characters and had some eye opening experiences. I had many of my clients tell me personally that our relationship changed their life. One client called me his sunshine and another said I was what he looked forward to all week long. Home care is not an easy field to be, complications arise constantly but it is also extremely rewarding and can change the lives of both clients and workers. Helping Hands provides an amazing service to the community and I'm very proud to be apart of that.

I am giving 3 stars because I personally loved working for Helping Hands. The staff was incredibly nice and helpful and 100% there for me, however; the pay is terrible. I don't agree with making $10.50 an hour for taking care of people and their homes. Especially while adding wear and tear on your car. I loved most of my residents as well as the flexible schedule, but they really need to boost their pay. You don't get paid for driving to your first residents home, and thats a little difficult when its 30mins away. Other than that, it is a great company.
