I have dealt with Helm Bank USA for over 10 years. They are by far the worst institution I've ever had to deal with. The employees are rude and incompetent. The bank is extremely disorganized and they will make you jump through every hoop imaginable. Don't be fooled by the 5 star reviews, those are all purchased.
The worst bank ever. They will never refinance or help you even if you are a good customer! They will kill you with their rates. They will treat you as garbage. I would not recommend it at all. Customer service is also a disaster, you will get an automated email and never a call or follow up

If you need a Mortgage, run from this lender. A Brazilian guy by the name of Antonio Munis answered my call today, he presented himself as the vice president of the bank, I asked questions about refinance a Foreign National and he started giving me non sense answers. He was extremely rude, offending me, discriminating me and calling me names. This is a very unprofessional business, they suspiciously have very few employees, one single branch in The U.S. and I reported them to The Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. Not surprised, I found very bad reviews about the online!
In my experience this bank is very good, and the staff there are very supportive.
