Hello, Cupcake Review

The cupcakes are delicious as usual but I'm disappointed that I visited the store at 11am on a Friday and I was told that we are out of those for the day. I said it's 11am and you are out of them for the day, the worker said YES! I was ready to spend my money and the selection was real slim.

Happened to park right outside while meeting someone in Tacoma. I live in Seattle and I'm wishing they were closer. I tried French toast, cranberry, vanilla and salted caramel. ALL SO Good!!!

The customer service was very poor. The female helping me didn't seem like she wanted to be there and like I was bothering her.

Hello, cupcake makes delicious cupcakes for a reasonable price. They also have a small party room which is a blank slate for creating an ideal party theme. Parking is tough for downtown Tacoma but thankfully cheap. Great service with friendly staff that answers any questions we may have especially surrounding food allergies.

Cupcakes are pretty...dry. We were hugely disappointed. Flavor combinations and the frosting was great. Hoping to try it again with better results.

Wonderful array of perfectly decorated cupcakes. They have the traditional size and the mini ones.

I ordered a dozen cupcakes to celebrate my manager who was accepted into a masters at USC (i.e. red and gold sprinkles). She loves sharks so I was hoping I could switch out one of the toppers for a surprise shark. Hello Cupcake read my note and made it happen! Not only are the cupcakes delicious, customer service is incredible. Thank you! All my cupcakes needs will officially be fulfilled here

The Pecan cupcake and Boston cream minis are wonderful. I also bought the elvis cupcake and I am sorry to say that the banana cupcake tasted old and horrible. I think it's best to use that peanut butter frosting on something else. I even had to spit up the cupcake.

I ve been here twice and every time it s an amazing experience. The staff is always a joy to interact with. I love that they have mini cupcakes in case you don t have much of a sweet tooth. I normally get half a dozen minis and it s under $10 . Very affordable. I would definitely recommend!

February is National Heart Month and Hello makes special cupcakes for CHD awareness week! Unfortunately we weren t able to make it in and pick one up but it just great to see the support!

Excellent cupcakes. Large variety of flavors.The cupcakes were not dry & they were pretty. I suggest taking a friend, but several different flavors, cutting them up and having having a tasting buffet.....fun

Went in at 11am to buy a dozen cupcakes. They barely had any of the advertised flavors available. One of the flavors they listed had been baked, but because they were working on special orders no one could manage to frost them, and I was informed of this by a young girl without apology. Went to Corina Bakery instead where the service is better and cupcakes are just as good.

Bruh!! The strawberry cupcake was FIRE!! I also love the French Toast one

What a delight! We came for the Facebook event and were not disappointed! Cupcakes were absolutely divine with buttercream icing in abundance! We got the seasonal Neopolitan and the coconut. I'm sure there is not a wrong choice. I will return to try others

No one on line, walking down the street with. 2 small dogs wanted one cupcake and knew exactly what I wanted. The transaction would have taken 30 seconds but no dogs. Even if I were to hold them. Don t be rude about it hello -cupcake. Maybe offer to bring it to the door instead of being nasty. I understand a no pet policy but I don t understand the rudeness policy or how it was impossible to serve me.

What a delight to bite into such a soft, rich, creamy, mouthwatering cupcake! It made my day so much sweeter!!!

My family has been going to Hello Cupcake since they first opened in Tacoma. As a UWT grad, I have nothing but love for these guys. We will support them until we die!!!

My only complaint about them is I cannot eat cupcakes anywhere else now because they are not nearly as good as Hello Cupcake!! Also, they need to bring back the Almond Roca cupcake!!

I ve had a lot of cupcakes in my day but I ve yet to find any better than Hello Cupcake. They make the best cream cheese frosting I ve ever had in my life. My only complaint is that they don t make full size cakes because they would be the bomb. Highly highly recommend this place.

The cupcakes were beautiful to look at and were tasty! However, I only gave this place 3 stars because the cupcakes I got were awfully dry! I got 4 different flavors so it couldn't have just been a batch issue

The cashier was incredibly sweet and friendly. I had never been there before and she was really helpful, she made my experience quick and enjoyable. I got a French Toast cupcake per her recommendation and I was not disappointed, it was absolutely delicious. The icing was rich and creamy goodness, the cupcake was moist and fresh. Even the box they put my cupcake in was adorable. I will definitely be coming back.

cute little place went here with a group we got the party room they brought in some different types of cupcake and frosting as well as candy flowers and things to decorate the cupcakes. it was fun

I've never received such amazing customer service. It was my sister's birthday recently and we haven't seen her in almost a year. We obviously couldn't visit because of Covid-19, so we wanted to do something special for her. We couldn't find a single restaurant or bakery that was able to deliver.

The absolutely LOVELY woman at Hello Cupcakes went above and beyond to make and deliver delicious, amazing cupcakes to my sister. I cannot stress how much this act of kindness means to all of us. Plus the cupcakes are incredible!!!

Cupcakes were dry and feel into crumbles when cut..especially the chocolate. Flavor is good but who wants a dry cupcake? It seems some must be sitting out a little long before selling. $21. 00 for 6 cupcakes I expected a better experience.

Not only are their cupcakes amazing, their customer service is even better. We had a little difficulty with a third party delivery service, not only did hello cupcake send the order out a second time, they sent it a third time. I stopped by here after school on my way home yesterday. I ordered the Red Velvet cupcake. When i got home and ate it, it was amazing. It was really sweet and delicious. Can't wait until i can go here again.

Very high qualitycupcake bakery with a great selection/variety of cupcakes. Their cream cheese frosting is especially good. Unfortunately the location is small with only 4 tables, no espresso machine so no coffee or teas available to accompany the wonderful cupcakes.

Great place for a sugar kick. Great atmosphere and great staff. The only place to go when you need a sweet break from work or study in downtown Tacoma.

A great verity of cupcakes, french toast, pumpkin spice, red velvet, an lemon. Were all tasty! Great customer service and social distancing guidelines.

Some of the best cupcakes I've ever had! These are moist and fluffy, with just the right amount of frosting! (It's a lot of frosting, but not so much that you get sick, and perfectly in proportion with the cake.) They have fun seasonal flavors that the rotate through, but you can't go wrong with the vanilla one. The butter pecan is also wonderful, and has a sweet butterscotch filling! I used to live near this place, and it was so hard not to wander in every other day!

They have really good cupcakes. There is a flavor of the month every month. They have standard cupcakes that are available all year around. They also have seasonal cupcakes that they change about every four months. The best are the winter months. My favorite cupcake use to be the Pineapple upside cupcake but they no longer make it. Now the cookies and cream and the cookie dough are my favorites. The staff is very nice and always greets you with a smile. They also offer ice cream social ice cream.

If only they had the fall favorites year round..... If be morbidly obese!

I went in with some friends the other day and was sorely disappointed. You can't lob a giant swirl of cheap frosting on cheap sugary dough and call it a cupcake. It was a cute store but way overpriced for what I had.

Last week I came in to Hello Cupcake and was so happy to find out they had happy hour cupcakes buy 3 get 3. Different girl tonight said they didn't have happy hour cupcakes . What disappointment!

The cupcakes looked and tasted great but they only had three to choose from out of the 9 or 10 the advertised online. Made the 20 minute drive over there not worth it.

We got one of their Boston Cream cupcakes, it was delicious. They had a huge flavor selection. Sadly they didn't have any gluten free or vegan cupcakes. Definitely recommend stopping in to satisfy your sweet tooth.

I'm always on the hunt for a good cupcake, and Hello, Cupcake is top of my list for sure! The cupcakes were perfectly moist, but not too dense. Light and fluffy, and not too sweet. In a sweet little shop with beautiful decor and packaging. They are on the pricey side, but worth every penny.

This bakery always has the best cupcakes and they are giant. I have not once been disappointed in the quality/taste. I routinely order a dozen cupcakes for parties and they are always a big hit. They're a little pricey, but worth every penny.

Lately, I have been obsessed with baking cupcakes at home. I wanted to find local cupcake shop that I could get inspired by. I was out in the Tacoma area the other day, and looked this place up. I was not let down. We tried the Shirley temple, chocolate raspberry, chocolate hazelnut, and Boston cream and they were all super moist and delicious! If you like sweet, moist, and rich cupcakes this is your spot! The chocolate hazelnut and Boston cream had surprise fillings that we really enjoyed. The decorations were nice too! Thank you hello, cupcakes for making our day. We will return!

We love this place. They put a lot of effort into having the right cupcake with the right frosting and fillings, which really nails the flavors. Their custom cupcakes change regularly so there's something new to try every month that is fitting to the season. I made a mistake on my pickup date when ordering online, and they were very accommodating in getting me an order I was happy with, while still managing a very busy shop. I drive 30 miles each way to get my cupcakes here.
