Heirloom Café Review

I had no idea traveling I would eat at such a great place! Awesome building awesome food good people love it!!!

We drove from Hartford to try out Heirloom Food Company and it was well worth the drive! Not only was my food clean but it was delicious, refreshing, and transparent. When i called to ask questions, they openly said what were the ingredients in all the food. I had the Beta burger with their awesome house made gluten free bread and my husband had the Crazy Good Tuna salad on a sourdough bread. The best part was the Vegan Dill Mayo! I have RA and Crohns so to be able to eat clean flavorable food without any reactions or swelling is a blessing. Thank you for being open in business! You guys really are a hidden gem

Great food for the discerning eater. Organic,Vegetarian and awesome. Smoothies and juice are made fresh and delicious.

This place is exquisite. Great staff little pricey. But the food and drinks are amazing. There smoothies are to die for. Not to mention organic healthy and tasty. I had the white veggie chowder absolutely off the charts amazing and tasty. I would eat here every day if I could.

I ate hear for the first time the other day and I was very impressed. The food was Great, very tasty and healthy. The food presentation is modern and spot on. The atmosphere is good everyone seems very happy. I will deffinatley be going back. My only complaint is that they don't have it marked very well by the road I never new it existed. But it dosnt seem to be hurting there buisness because they had plenty of guests when we ate there the other day.

It's hard to find restaurants that offer gluten free dairy free options. So this is a gold mine for me. Super yummy, bread is freshly made. Cute little cafe atmosphere. Will be back!

Delicious salads and sandwiches and everything else. Organic, healthy, filled with fresh veggies, goat cheese, tofu, and yummy herbs and spices. I've only been twice but each time memorable. Really a fun atmosphere.

This is my new restaurant love!!! For those individuals that have elevated their desire to be mindful of how they are nourishing their body, this is the place. I will be back, because I'm worth it. Portions are on point and food combinations are genius!

I love the smoothies and harvest grilled cheese here. I would love to eat here all the time but it's pricey for me. So I stick to once in a while when I need a pick me up. Yes that's how good their smoothies are. I give HFC 5 stars though I hooe the prices eventually go down a bit.

What a lovely place, I was surprised to find this hidden gem in an unexpected part of CT. Numerous wonderful homemade vegan wraps, sandwiches, veggie burgers, great coffee/espresso, and an assortment of appealing vegan desserts available at the counter too. The inside is fabulous and comfy, not at all cramped. Beautiful plants inside, I could have stayed for hours working.

The place looks like a private home and you could easily drive past it, but don t!!!
The staff was very friendly, each made a suggestion as to what their favorite was when I said it was my first time there.. I found it looking for vegetarian food in the area I was doing a home Inspection. .
Everything was delicious. I tried the monkey business drink and veggie Rueben.

Food is excellent! Staff is fantastic. I am a regular at this spot highly recommended!

One of the only vegan friendly options in the area, nice staff, great food and smoothies. Also has a small artisan store with locally made soaps and candles and stuff.

Friendly staff with excellent choices for special diets. Gluten-free, dairy-free, vegan, and recently added Stevia-sweetened items available. I have never been disappointed. Everything is delicious.

Plant-based diets have shown me so many benefits but I sometimes get sick of the same 5 healthy meals I know how to make. I make a point to now have my cheat meal here at Heirloom. And here s the kicker.... I m NOT cheating! It just tastes so amazingly good that it makes me feel like I am. Everything I ve ever had here is superb, fresh and satisfying. It s worth every penny. Your vege clam chowder was unbelievable yesterday. Your beet burgers are my favorite. I m not gonna lie though... I do miss your sprouted wraps, your juices and your lattes. Those things made you extraordinary! But I understand how hard the juicer and latte machine are to maintain with the amount of customers you get. Just hoping maybe you ll reconsider. Either way, I ll always be ordering Thank you being the ONLY place around here that gets the importance of healthy eating!

If you just have to have a delicious organic hand-crafted smoothie, you will be happy to know you can find one in this unexpected location in Danielson. The selection of items makes this a great snack and hangout spot.

Great food. Even though it's vegan centric don't let that scare you off. Everything is fresh, made to order, and delicious.

As much as I love to dine out and as many favorites that I have, the food at this place is the best feeling food. I mean, i feel good when i eat it....i would even say that I feel better when I eat it. As much as I tend to punish my digestive tract I go to this place to heal it. My favorite is the veggie Reuben which I would hold up to any sandwich. Additionally, they always have some incredible sweet treats and good soup. Really great people doing really great things in a place that you may least expect it.

The staff are so accommodating, they were about to close and served us anyway. Good space, very artistic decor, nice food selections. Will go again, bummer that they close at 4

If you want organic food this is the place for you! Breakfast meals are my fave, but the Turkey/Avocado sandwich at lunch is a must. With a very inviting environment and amazing staff there are many reasons to stop by.

This place is a hidden gem in Danielson. If you want some of the best vegan foods you have ever had, this is the place to be. Service is wonderful and they are even offering curbside pickup. 10/10 I would recommend even to my non vegan friends. So many options.

Love this place!! Food is amazing!!! This is a vegetarian restaurant, but the food is so good that it is a non-issue. My husband is a die-hard meat lover. The idea of having a meal without meat is like taking a shower without water... It makes no sense to him. Finally after nagging him into submission, he agreed to meet me for lunch, but only after making it clear that he wasn't going to like it and that when I was done eating my "rabbit food," he was going to Burger King for a "real lunch." Ha! One bite of their veggie burger was all it took to turn a die-hard meat lover into an omnivore, and one of Heirloom's biggest fans. Their veggie bean burger is one of the best sandwiches I have ever had in my life. And their bakery items are, well.., I guess the only way to describe them would be to say that they are... THE BOMB!!!! lol. I don't know what they put in the oatmeal sandwich cookies, but they are sinfully delicious. I didn't know that a vegan cookie could be that good!! Yes, Heirloom is a "Vegan" restaurant, but it's also so much more than that. It's an amazing restaurant that serves amazing, top-quality-wholesome food made from scratch by people that truly care about the kind of product that they serve at their restaurant. So, to all of you die-hard meat lovers like my husband, don't let the "vegan" part scare you away. Trust me when I tell you that their vegan burger could go head to head with any burger served at any restaurant, any day, and hold its own. Yummy yummy and yummy. I always get excited when I have to work in Danielson, because I know that my reward to myself is a trip to Heirloom for lunch.

I ordered the chowder & a gluten-free mock chicken salad wrap. My roommate got a curry mock chicken salad wrap. While our chowder was delicious, I was disappointed in my gluten-free wrap. It was significantly smaller than my roommate's regular wrap. Had I known the size discrepancy I would have gone for the regular wrap. It was almost half the size of her wrap. Although it was delicious, it was definitely not filling & not for $11. I would recommend their food, just don't get the gluten-free wrap. It's also very crumbly & dry. I'll probably just get a salad or rice bowl next time.

Literally my favorite place in town. Every thing is delicious. Wonderful staff, clean and bright atmosphere. Such a great place to meet friends or to do some work. I m not a vegetarian or gluten free or a vegan but I haven t found I thing I don t like on the menu. It s just down right great cooking. I also appreciate that there s a place in my town that caters to different needs but is still very accessible. My favorites on the menu are the avocado kickstart, the green Zion smoothie, and the white and black bean burger. I wish I could give more stars!

I absolutely love it here. I stop by on occasion for a turkey veggie avocado with cheddar cheese and an oatmeal cream pie to die for. And it's vegan!

Have had mostly mediocre experiences here. For a more expensive restaurant their meals should be on point every time. Paid $4 for a cookie and it was awful. A grilled cheese, by itself, is $9. It s all hype so you pay the prices.

This isn't really my thing, and the food is a little pricey, BUT it all tasted great, they are vegan/gluten free first, and make an amazing chai tea.

Not just vegan and vegetarian food, but GOOD tasting, well thought out and arranged. Everything was spelled out their menu boards and on line.

They even have nitrate free turkey and carefully selected tuna too.

The atmosphere is fun, easy and the staff were very helpful and knowledgeable about every selection.

Well worth the trip to eastern CT.

I absolutely love the food and juices here! The breakfast sandwich with pesto is one of my favs! My kids love the grown up grilled cheese! Yummmmm
