The wait is far too long. Ive been in the emergency room for 4 hours with my girlfriend and still havent even been diagnosed. And theres a old lady with appendicitis in the waiting room in major pain whos been waiting for a couple hours too. I know you have hard and stressful jobs but this hospital needs to hire more people
I've had a total of 3 pregnancies with this hospital, 2 of which are full pregnancy and one was complicated and ended early. the staff is amazing and so caring and personal. i have rarely had to wait for my appointments more then 10 to 15 min. the obgyn doctors and nurses are so nice, answer all my questions, and always keep me informed with what's going on. the delivery nurses and staff are so amazing, and the food for a hospital isn't that bad! lol!
Have been going there for years. Yearly wellness checks and everything through the Family Care Clinic. Feeling sick one day, took me going back to for an appt. twice in week for the same complaint telling them somethimg is wromg. N.P at Family care said i need to have my gallbladder out. Sent me to Mosiac in St. Joe and got told I have Stage 4 cancer. Had cancer for several years my onocologist said. Went back and got my labs from Family Care and my labs had shown something to be off for 2 years and was missed. By pass Hedrick Medical Center keep driving to the city.Had to put one star. Site wouldn't let post unless I did.
I have been coming here for appt off and on now for 4 years and abt ready to have a surgery done here....I like all the docs and nurses that I have dealt with so far haven't had any bad luck way better than Trenton's hospital by far
I think if you view this hospital for what it is, a rural small town hospital without a dedicated trauma center, you ll be pleasantly surprised. Nice rooms, pleasant nurses, good views. Definitely a much newer hospital (under 10 years old) than you d expect to find in a small town. Perhaps a bit too much focus on telemedicine for speciality services such as psychiatry etc, but not bad overall.
Dr Peniston is awesome & we wood use her again next time .
I've had both positive and negative experiences here. The negative ones have been addressed by staff, and the positive ones have greatly improved my quality of life. Dr. Agrawal performed a surgery for me, and is one of those doctors that instill confidence. He is truly wonderful. I recently utilized their telemedicine to consult a physician from KC. Their technology, and dedication to the client experience, makes them a top choice for quality medical care in this area.
Great hometown team that is constantly improving themselves to give the best big town care to the small town community. Have been there and would go there again.
I am a 60 year old woman on a light pain medication for fibromyalgia and osto arthritis on medical marijuana is now offered and legal in MO but the St. Lukes Dr. Would not renew my prescription because I am using the Marijuana to treat PTSD. Another St Luke Dr lied to me about medication I am allergic to told me it was something else. She didn't believe me and prescribed it to me it was a antidepressant to treat my pain. It made me crazy I almost committed suicide because of this Dr. Enter Trenton and Chillicothe St. Lukes Dr office expecting to leave worse ad without the medication you need
Went in with chest pain and the medical team quickly jumped into protocol. Everyone was VERY compassionate and professional, from the RN's and the doc on duty right down to the guy who took me back for scans. I'm from an area with several large hospitals and I can honestly say - living in this little town - I'm proud to have Hedrick here.
Had to pay 800$ out of pocket, with insurance for xray on my foot. Really
I was seen by Dr. Jama Gilpin, MD. She was assisted by Maggie. Gilpin paid great attention to detail. I would trust them with the care of my family anyday. I felt very safe and secure with the staff. Maggie kept me informed and updated. I could say more. Thank you for doing a great job.
