If you love your family member, do not send them here. Their physical therapist are amazing but the nursing staff is not good. My mom was on the road to recovery but in a matter of 24 hours after screwing with her medication it did a complete 180. They never reported to the doctor she wasn't eating nor taking her medication. When something was wrong with her catheter I was discounted and had a nurse tell me she knew how to do her job when I told her something was NOT RIGHT. If she would have taken 2 seconds to investigate she would have seen the catheter had a clog and it backed up back into her. Instead of bringing her home to heal and live, she end up at home in hospice care. Do not send your family member here.

This is the 3rd time my mother has been to this place. And i intend on taken her home in the morning. So i arrive today at like 350pm to find my mother curled up in a ball laying on top of her bed shakeing! At that time she tells me mom had just ask for something for pain. And that she would be right back . The nurse tech come in an i told her to plz get my mother's pain Meds she also reminded this nurse of my mom . This nurses attitude was absolutely very bad. So she takes her time which was purposely slow. In all the same time my mother has to pee. I press the button cause i couldn't find a bed pan. So i fianale go to get someone an bam there is our nurse in the hall way on her damn phone. No pain meds, no answer to the light over her door or , no one to help her to use the bathroom. as we walk in I say she probably use the bed by now cuz I mashed the button way while ago trying to tell me that they couldn't see the light over that door which is BS but when my mother says that she has used her diaper that she has on the nurse kinda slams her stuff down is his I'll go get a cleaning kit. And the look on her face in the tone of her voice was very upsetting to me. So the nurse tec came in and went to go get the supervisor. Still my mother has not got to yhe bathroom yet. At 600 she kindly comes in there with some pills is looking on the computer screen asking what did she have last. Her meds are scheduled! Shouldnt need to ask us . Anyhow at 6pm she got her pain meds but that lady was very rude and acted like she didnt like wfl eople! This was only half of the bs! So dont let them stay on the 1st floor!

I was in lakeshore for 2 weeks due to an auto accident and overall it was a good experience. They had a wonderful Physical Therapy team, huge thanks to Alyssa. I'd request her for anyone. She knows her stuff and was very thoughtful with me and everyone she worked with.

The Rns/nurse techs were good and bad like everywhere else. I had a different RN& nurse tech every 12 hrs and only had 2 problems, thats not bad for 2 weeks.

The facility is clean and the rehab services are outstanding..

Horrible experience...i would actually give them a minus 1!!
I have left a message for the hospital director or administrator but have not received a return phone call.
I'm still waiting.

Encompass Lakeshore is not a rehab facility I would recommend to anyone. They lack in housekeeping (garbage piles up and bathroom is less than what a health care facility should be), and they lost my father's chemo drug (It was in the drawer with his room number, yet they could not find it). Then, the doctor in charge ordered him to be removed from 6 medications, including his chemo and blood pressure medication. I made the remark that oh, y'all push for a speedy death.
They will not send paper work or encourage to relocate the patient to another facility for longer care because they push their home health care. It's an arm wrestling match trying to regain independence from these people. If a loved one is in the ER and needs to go into Rehab, do not let them send that person to Encompass.

If I could give this place 0 stars I would. If you care about your loved ones please don't send them here! The day nurses and therapists are great however the night nurses are terrible. They are lazy. They will not help you to the bathroom. My dad fell and scratched his arm and they did not clean it or bandage him. The day nurses took care of it. The doctor put him on meds he did not need and he was sent back to ICU. It was an absolute nightmare experience. We went here on the recommendation of his surgeon. Please research before choosing a facility.

Staff very motivated in helping you recover to the best of your ability. Pleasant environment for therapy. Everyone friendly.

The nursing staff is awful! They have allowed my grandmother to become dehydrated, lay in feces, go hungry, and fall. They neglect their patients all the way around. Please, if you are reading this review and others posted here, do not allow anyone you know to come to this facility. The reality is, if they need close medical care, they may not leave the facility.

I didn't have a very good stay at Encompass Lakeshore. The PT and OT staff were wonderful but the nursing care and the techs were not so much. Only 2 techs that I can name were of any assistance to me. One was Joseph and the other was Renea. I was so thirsty the entire time I was there and only given water 1 time in a 12 shift. I will never ever go back there again. There is much more I could say but I won't say anymore. Just make sure if you have a loved one who is there that you can be present especially after visiting hours and make many imprompt visits. Oh yeah, take some bottled water with you and get your family to help you to the restroom and bathing.

My mother was at your facility for a week and I was very disappointed at the service my mother received. The staff had very little knowledge of her condition, she was placed in a room with another patient with a contagious virus which I believe is main reason for her decline in health. She's back at the hospital and not given much longer to live.

Staff is very dedicated to recovery. Supportive of family.

My father was a patient at lakeshore recently and he can not say enough good things about the whole faculty at lakeshore rehab and all my dealings with them were positive. They were always both personable and professional and they seemed to cover all aspects of his needs. He has been home for a little over a week and is definitely headed back to his normal self. They have made sure to follow up with him and make sure that he is recovering fully to the best of his ability and have managed to keep him in positive spirits along the way.. I certainly can't thank them enough.

For a start this place is noisy. There is some kind of alarm or buzzer that goes off every 10 secs. but no one seems to care. There are also announcements over some kind of PA system. I'm supposed to get my private oom tonight so we will see if that happens.

No change until tomorrow so will see if it actually happens. The noise in this place is driving me wild. Had one other patient in roup session today who said the same thing but couldn't get anyone to listen.

My husband was sent to this facility for rehab after back surgery (supposed to be for 5 days) After the 5 days, we were told he would have to stay longer. He stayed 15 days, the morning after he came home, he was transported via ambulance to a local hospital with pneumonia. Now at home with home health nurses, occupational rehab and physical therapy. We also received a bill saying we owe Lakeshore $1350. Was told originally we would not be billed for anything. DON,'T SEND YOUR LOVED ONES HERE

I would NEVER recommend this place to anyone!! My family and I were talking about our concerns for our loved one PRIVATELY and she overheard. Next thing she busts through the door and lost her temper. The nurse was unprofessional and rude. Quite shocking she has a job there. The doctor made a BAD judgment call on my grandfather by ignoring his symptoms, where they could keep him there. When it was evident he was quickly declining. Thank god my mother noticed his suffering and ordered a ambulance. Lakeshore stated he was completely fine and will be discharged next week. The doc at St. Vincent s said otherwise. He is now in the ICU for critical care because of a perforation in his abdomen. Possible surgery tomorrow along with many other procedures. Very unstable and suffering. Shame on you lakeshore for not sticking to proper protocol!!!! Also disgusting facility.

My sister has been at the location for over a week. The physical therapist are outstanding but the nursing staff is horrible. My sister requested several times to be moved to her bed and was forced to sit in her wheelchair for over 4 hours several times with a bed sore on buttocks. She then explained that she wet herself because no one came to help her to the restroom. Last night she called my other sister in crying and in pain because she had no pain meds after several request. She and her roommate were in pain and was told there were no night nurses. My sister called the front desk to find out that was not the truth and that was when my sister was given pain meds. Clearly there is a great opportunity for trainining. Lakeshore has a name that speaks for itself but your nursing staff is going to destroy that. We should feel safe knowing that our love ones are protected. The experience is a lack of integrity and abuse to helpless people.

Was not very important in helping find me a place to stay after rehab. Sent me to a home where I was to scoot up stairs on my butt in the rain. Also scoot up a flight of stairs once in side. Lost my leg.

My mother has been here for 4 days, recovering from a stroke. I have been blown away by the level of unprofessionalism we ve experienced. The nurses and techs seem to know nothing about her condition and expect her to be able to clearly communicate to them, after having a stroke and suffering a lot of mental confusion.

The general feel throughout the building is lackadaisical and uncaring. Employees are frequently on their iPhones and ignoring anyone who comes to the desk, or they are laughing with of the other employees. No one seems to have a sense of urgency about getting work done or tending to the patients.

There are also HIPPA violations all over the place; patients charts being left open on computers for other people to easily ready, employees talking on cell phone about patient conditions, etc.

One particular nurse named Andrea has been just awful. I visited around 11 am yesterday and my mother was wearing a hospital gown that she had obviously vomited on. I visited again around 2 pm today and she was wearing the same exact hospital gown with the same stains. I asked the nurse why she had not been bathed and changed, and the nurse lied and told me that the stains were not there this morning. After our conversation, she walked away with a haughty laugh. She made me wish I d never chosen this facility and she made me seriously consider changing facilities.

Worst place I have ever beeen. Medical staff was terrible!!! PT side was great. Never again will I return to thi again s place. I could write book about this place being so bad!!! NO WAY I Will return to this place.

DO NOT GO HERE. My stepfather was sent to this facility after being hospitalized. He had severe motor impairment and wasn t able to keep his balance or stand on his own, had constant falls with slurred speech so poor he had to be reminded constantly to speak clearly, and struggled to use his hands.

Two weeks of treatment in this facility did him nothing. Upon returning home, he was still unable to communicate properly, and continues to have falls despite being told by the nurses and owners of the clinic he was receiving daily physical and speech therapies.

HIS CELL PHONE WAS EVEN STOLEN BY ONE OF THE NURSES AND THE MANAGEMENT DENIED IT!

So not only are they thieves, they did nothing in terms of improving my stepfather s health and I m sure he was only sent here for billing.

Avoid this clinic at all cost.

This place was GREAT with my husband after his 18wheeler accident!!! Between them and God's help my husband learned to walk again!! They gave him the confidence he needed!! And they were great to me his wife!! Thank you DR'S &NURSE'S
