I have been inside this building several times for training events, but this was the first time I've been to see a film here. The venue always has a very relaxed atmosphere and the cinema seats are very comfortable. On the negative side, the volume of the film was way too high and at times, made the film difficult to watch. The cost of a cinema ticket is similar to other venues, but I still think it's very expensive! Plus the ladies toilets are too small!

Good for movies that aren't on anywhere else, but a little expensive for what appears as a budget-quality cinema.

Comfy seats in this independent cinema which shows a wide variety of films. Lovely cafe with delicious freshly cooked food. Lovely atmosphere.

The cinema side of things was fine. The cafe wasn't so good. They serve cafeology coffee which I know is good quality but the use of it is poor. The milk in my latte was a similar temperature to molten lava which as a result burnt the milk and made the drink taste poor. I asked for it to be remade cooler which the waitress was a bit put out by. The coffee machine they used wasn't that clean either as the steam arm was covered with dried on milk which isn't that hygienic. In future I'll get my coffee from tamper just up the road.

I have long loved this cinema, the first art house cinema I really experienced. Staff are always welcoming, it is very comfortable and has a good bar with interesting beers and food.
Went to see a film here and it was surprisingly inexpensive for an adult. It was nice and clean. The screen wasn't huge but it was a nice clear experiance!
Basic and bit pricey cinema but they are showing lots of independent movies and foreign movies which make it great. And with cafe/restaurant next to it.
Bestest place in town. Wonderful relaxing atmosphere, very welcoming and easy going. Great place to hang out. Food, beer/coffee, films. Everything in one place. Comfortable as well.
The facility was so bad I didn't mind how small the screen was and how old is the whole theme of the cinema
Seats a little too uncomfortable. Not enough leg room. Otherwise the cinema was lovely with a great bar.
Had our wedding reception here back in April and highly recommend it as a venue. Reasonably priced and tasty menu. Mark and the team were very accommodating from start to finish, and helped us to have a seamless day. Thank you to everyone who served on the day!
Excellent place to meet friends to see a film Good food and drink. Lots of legroom in the auditorium and it was clean and comfortable. Staff friendly and helpful

Went to see Collette, which was brilliant. I always enjoy a visit to The Showroom. Great cafe and bar, friendly service and very comfortable cinema seats.
Excellent Food in the cafe at the front. Hidden round the back is the small 4 screen cinema which hosts regular screenings for parents with under 1's. Shows good, mainstream films as well as more arthouse and cult offerings. Worth the change of pace if you fancy it.
I really like this cinema, the prices are very good, well at least if you are able to access the Cine 26 deal and the seats are very comfortable. The screens could be better but they were adequate in size. One negative was that there were no cup holders so you have to either hold your drink or place it on the floor. When I went there only a few people were present which I really liked so if you like places that are not very populated then this is the place for you
Love this place, loathe the huge impersonal expensive multiplex cinemas. We get quality films not too large queues mostly and the experience is about the film not the popcorn.
Excellent independent cinema and bar/restaurant. Relatively cheap. Good choice of films, with particular emphasis on independents and progressive studios.
Lovely place with a diverse portfolio of screenings. Staff are what make it: fun, organised and friendly.
Visited the Showroom a couple of times in May with the Yorkshire Silent Film Festival. Lovely staff, very helpful. Good cinema. Nice bar too ;)
Fantastic seats and great view. Only a small complaint steps are very dark outside could do with more light.

Went here to see Knives Out and the theater was small, comfy seats and good screen. I don't know if there was a bad place to sit in the whole cinema. Would definitely come here again.

Sheffield s legendary independent cinema. A fantastic cafe/bar and 4 screens with special film events all year round... What's not to like?
A good range of films, a spacious bar area and friendly staff. If the service at the bar was quicker they'd gain an extra star.

I thought the food here was pretty poor. The menu reads well but in all honesty the food is basic and not that impressive. Definitely overpriced.

I love the showroom, great place to watch independent films! Nice building and good interior. Donate to help them refurbish! But right now, the chairs are comfy and the screens are big enough anyway
Does anyone ever answer the phone at the box office?! As I type this, I've been on hold 15 minutes. Absurd!
Great creative atmosphere, free wifi (I was getting 60mb download at one point!), spacious and some good choice of beers. Perfect to sit with your laptop and get on with some work. The coffee is usually good although someone did give me a boiling hot cappuccino once! Also food is tasty there.

A really great independent cinema, cleaner than some of the chain cinemas too. Some of the screens maybe smaller in comparison but a very good experience regardless.
