Great venue and always an interesting selection of films to watch. Why not arrive a little early and have a drink in the bar. If u are a regular consider joining and save some money.
Excellent choice of films, good comfy seats and reasonable ticket prices. I don't think you'd want anything more from a cinema, really.
Attended this cinema for the first time yesterday evening and was thoroughly impressed. Clean, sleek and professional whilst still holding onto the personality that you expect of an independent cinema by providing excellent customer service. I arrived very early, and exceedingly soggy from the rain, for my intended showing and for personal reasons didn't feel able to tackle their thriving and busy bar environment (it's great, just not for me). Staff kindly allowed me to sit in their closed cafe whilst I waited for my film to start. Their considerations of me personally was amazing, definitely not what one experiences at the big chains. Thank you for your kindness. I will be back.
Different from conventional cinemas with busy cafe. V convenient for Railway station and Arundel gate interchange.
Brilliant Solo Independent Cinema, only one in the North UK. Has a small bar/restaurant attached with fancy beers and tasty food. Regularly has live events like open mic and Comedy workshops. Also has an auditorium attached, which regularly hosts love events such as comedians and small minimal theatre shows.
Went for an event of +50 people involving video presentation. There are venues with more personality but a great choice for such a function and staff always friendly and accommodating when we come down for Goodgym on a Monday
I love this cinema. The bar and restaurant are fantastic, you could just go for the food! But the screens are great too. They have film discussion meetings and a lot of independent cinema. I am a big fan.
Small screens showing an eclectic mix of foreign and art-house films.
Quaint cinema with decent prices, especially if you sign up for their membership programme
Could do with more chairs and tables to sit and eat at the discussion room behind the cinema
Such a wonderful little independent cinema. Always a great range of blockbusters and art house/documentary/international films to choose from. A great place to hang out in Sheffield, the bar has a good selection and the food is good too!
I love it here. Excellent vegan choices and the food is delicious
A nice atmosphere, but take an extra layer as it's generally quite cold in the cinemas and cafe.
I love this cinema. It is a really quirky place showing smaller, independent films compared to the bigger competitors. The staff are friendly and really helpful. The only downside is the lack of parking but aside that it is excellent.
Small theatre, but it was certainly a great experience. You don't need a huge screen to enjoy your evening. Very much recommended.
Excellent cinema! Really interesting films, fab cafe/bar and friendly staff.
Friendly place. Quality cinema. Show films often not on at mainstream cinema.
A very well established arts cinema, located near the station. The seats are comfy and sound system good. Several annual film festivals held here each year Docufest a festival of documentary being rh most popular. Food and beer are ok. Now has an outside area which is good in the warm weather. Worth looking at what's on if you like film.
Really like this place, such a wonderful range of films and film festivals for kids to horror fans. A number of screens. Could do with more comfortable seating and more staff on the confectionery counter during busy times.
Food and drink expensive but nice vibe old school if you like that sort of thing not the most up to date and modern but nice feel accessible for disabled and staff nice
A super venue....lots of choice...great screens....
Best screens and film experience in the city centre (still prefer the pricer cineworld), very reasonable seats and lots of variation in films
Nice to be able to take your drink into the cinema. Very civilised way to watch Star Wars!
You can buy beer and G&Ts here. Projection OK, sound seemed distorted at higher levels, but beer and G&Ts compensated.
Lovely cinema, great bar and restaurant too. They show an interesting range of films and the showings are always clean and quiet. Nice atmosphere. A little more expensive than you might pay elsewhere. My fave Sheffield cinema.
CANNOT WAIT to see Quiet Flows the Don, judging by the poster it looks filthy.
So many wonderful films will be going again this week.
Fantastic local cinema. Shows blockbusters alongside lesser known titles. My kids love the Saturday morning kids club.
Food is really good and unique. Cinema is excellent, showing a wide range of genres. Screens 3 & 4 are huge (bigger than Odeon)
Wasn't seeing a film but bar serves good food and drinks
a gem - support the Showroom - the pre-booked meal and a movie is a winner
It's looking a little tired but I still love it and if it wasn't there we would miss it SO much. So go!
Like that you can take food from the cafe in with you. Seats need work tho.. As i could feel every spring and as far as I'm aware i hadn't gone to a 4D showing.
It's not the newest but has the best staff and a great restaurant. Also good prices and location.
The unusual films shown, the informality, & the lovely food and drink served by the lovely staff.
Laid back arty cafe near to the station and away from the shopping throng. Light snacks, hot drinks and a bar.
Great place for a meal and film. Very relaxing place to enjoy an evening out. Great place to take your partner or that first date haha. Good food good drinks and a good film what more could you want.
Great cinema and bar...worth a visit, and often go to browse and chill out in the City centre...
Went to see live filmed show of Jamie - excellent show and the Showroom was lovely to see it in with air con and comfy seats. We had lunch after and the food was really good with fast service. There isn't a huge amount of choice on the menu but everything we had was tasty and reasonably priced.
A really cool experience, the large screen and comfortable seating made this a nice experience. The staff is also quite friendly.
Excellent cafe, though the food timings seem a tad confusing
I always use this place to host my events ... nothing is too much trouble, reasonably priced, excellent food & service
Simply the original and best cinema in Sheffield for independent, non-mainstream films
Best cinema in Sheffield and also a great place to eat and drink.
Shows all the film's the big cinema's don't show and for a smaller ticket fee. The food in the restaurant is consistently among the best in Sheffield. I always look forward to dinner and a movie at the Showroom
I was really surprised how good it was here. I'd always judged it from its somewhat faded exterior. We saw the best of SHAFF in screen four, which was much bigger than I expected. Pity the bar was closed when we came out.
Went here yesterday as a MS group, had our own space, but what a farce.Ordered food from a waitress, then she came back and asked us to pay separately as they do not run tabs. So, went to pay for my food order at the bar to be told the debit card system was down after ten minutes of waiting she then asked me can I pay with cash. To which I said, I have no cash on me, she then told me there is a cash machine at the station. If bars and pubs are catering for groups they should do their research as to how able the group are to do certain things
Good cinema and you can enjoy a drink and good food
Reasonably priced compared to others around Sheffield. Comfy seats and very clean
Comfortable seats, decent size screen, a great cafe and bar. Ticket price a little high though.
Great films, screens, bar, food. Have been a regular since it opened. Have loved it all that time. Not least because it shows films that just aren't showing at the big multiples. It also hosts a number of terrific festivals throughout the year, for example doc fest and shaff (the Sheffield adventure film festival) and literary events. Highly recommended
Great local community cinema. As well as showing blockbusters, it also shows arthouse and European cinema. Plus other live entertainments. Really good cafe bar attached.
I was there for a work conference and it was really good for large audiences.
First time I've been. I enjoyed it not much room when your tall but still a nice cinema for adults
Great venue. Went for a wedding reception and the staff were so friendly. It's small but had room for dancing and for people not to but still feel involved. A good selection of drinks for a function room and you could always go the main bar.
