Good beers. No cup holder in the cinema though! Expensive bar. Otherwise, lovely
Great cinema, really comfy seats and has a great selection of films, the cafe bar is great too! Great food and beer selection, a real Sheffield institution
Excellent place for lots of things the cafe/bar has nice friendly staff and the coffee is good a good selection of films and the building is split into many different rooms and areas ideal for functions, meetings, conferences etc all nicely laud out
Great alternative cinema, quite small but couple of good screens
If all the food ordered was served at the same time it would have been better, it all tasted lovely but I got the impression someone else was choosing the order I should eat it.
Excellent selection of cinema. The EU leave mat affect this in time to come. Staff can come across as pretentious and holier than thou, despite being unskilled labourers.
The Forum is a great place to enjoy a film. A friendly and amenable staff including in the cafe which is spacious and comfortable. A place in short which for me always makes an occasion out of an event. One of the main outposts of Sheffields' growing culture of art. Thanks and seasonal regards. Jac x
Lovely meal, great film, lovely staff. The meal and cinema for two deal is great value too.
We have had an office at the Workstation for 3 years now. Situated right in the city centre bang oposite the train staion, makes it an ideal location. Having a great cafe downstairs also helps. The venue is alway spotless and verry trendy with wooden flooring and comfy sofa's . Make s a great imprestion for our visitors The receptionists do a great job at making everyone feel welcome and go out of their way to brighten up the day.
Small cinema rooms but large enough, comfortable seats. Good sound.
Here for Sheffield Adventure Film Festival, five screens and cozy bar, nice place
Lovely independent cinema Was here for training Clean venue Great catering Coleslaw was immense
Always has great alternative films on. My favourite cinema in Sheffield simply because of how unique it is. They also do great deals for 16-25 year olds so it's excellent for students. The cafe serves great food and drink too and the staff are always very friendly.
Absolutely excellent - smaller screens - attracts students & local intelligence - nice food & bars
Lovely venue. Really close to the train station, nice bar, comfortable seats & interesting films.
Good range of films to choose from. Comfy seats and choice of wheelchair spaces, so no need to crane your neck!
Good venue to book a room at, central location in Sheffield near the train station.
Cinema facilities are fantastic. Tickets and snack of so cheap compared to big cinema chains. I do think that there needs to be some kind of rules enforced though. The screening at people coming in late and disturbing the film, people talking through the the trailers, and generally poor guest etiquette. Overall though, the cinema it's self is fantastic.
Heavily recommend this cinema, the sound and quality is amazing not to mention it isn't as expensive as most cinemas.
Cozy small and intimate cinema. Nice film selection
Great choice of films. Nice restaurant with good selection of light meals. Convenient for station
Nice relaxed atmosphere, perfect for a non formal business meeting
Friendly independent cinema showing a wide range of foreign and arthouse film as well as some mainstream hits. Comfy seats, friendly staff and a great bar/cafe/restaurant
I love The Showroom! I used to live in Sheffield and was a regular visitor for films, food and drink but hadn't been back since I moved away 18 months ago. Went with my family at the weekend to see a kids film and we all - me (47), partner (44) and two kids (10 and 6) - had a great time. Staff, food, drink and cinema all as lovely as before. Partner is now vegan and she was delighted to have a choice of two different vegan cakes in the bar to take in to the cinema (we liked how they packed the cake into a takeaway box!) And as a non-vegan myself, I loved the range of normal cakes and ice creams. Highly recommended!
Nice cinema with loads of screens and showing a variety of films. Reasonably priced too, the cheapest in the area I can find for a student like me! The bar is a good touch too, meeting up with friends for drinks before a showing allows the fun to start before the film!
Best cinema in Sheffield! Not massive screens but never seems busy, not full of annoying kids, great selection of independent films, good seats and accepts meercat 241. Showroom bar does food and drinks, coffee cakes and you can take then in. (Not meals but drinks!)
An awesome cinema showing more than just the regular drudge, This is where films should be experienced, + points for being a place to check out lectures on art and the like.
Really well placed, close to train station, comfortable and modern, best indie films and lovely staff.
One of my favourite places. The staff are friendly and there's always something interesting to watch with a great vibe
A Sheffield institution and its raising it's game as a result of the Curzon etx
Good movies nice place. Mixture of comfy and not so comfy seats depending ob which screen you're in.
Shows more non-mainstream films than the other cinemas in Sheffield. And good to support an independent.
Brownies were yum and a nice draft cider. Not so sure about this Mike Lee film though! Under edited
My favourite cinema in all of Sheffield. Shows quality films at quite reasonable prices (compared to Cineworld). The staff are always friendly, hard working and know their cinema. The bar serves great beer, again at fair prices, and the food is outstanding! We used their chefs to cater our wedding and it was incredible! They hold celluloid Screams horror festival each year, which is always a highlight of my October, and the seats are comfy enough to want to spend 3 days in. The cinema itself is modern and clean, with the bar recently having a lovely refit. If you want top quality films, food and drink, there's nowhere else to go other than the Showroom.
Cinema with a personality! Loved its individual style. Smaller than your average cinema but that adds to its appeal. Comfortable seating, attentive staff, aesthetically pleasing and a unique vibe. Perfect location right across from a major train station.
Popcorn tasteless and chewy like cardboard. Long queues. Seats in movie theatre average. Went to see mary and the witch. Will stick to light cinema (only went to showroom cos the movie wasnt shown at light). Did get a free promotional poster for mary and the witch though.
Cinema good enough. Seats seem a bit old fashioned, nowhere to put a drink? Bar extremely busy - there was an event on - but not good service.
Such a lovely venue. All staff really helpful and polite. Good films as well as good cult film options. Brilliant Q and A with director after the film - not use to finding such a diverse options at a cinema. Keep up the good work!
A great independent cinema always showing a wide range from current blockbusters to niche independent stuff. The screens are quite intimate and the seating comfortable. The Bar/cafe serves a decent selection of independent ales with the typical cinema snacks.
A lovely small multi cinema venue in the heart of the University. Welcoming, clean and very close to tram and rail links.
Very comfortable and welcoming venue. Good cafe and bar. Easy to get to and near Sheffield train station and bus station.
The showroom is a quirky little cinema with 4 screens and a bar which serves food. A wide range of films are shown here including the big blockbusters but also independent and foreign films. The snacks available are high quality and reasonably priced. My only gripe is that the seats are not quite as comfy as other cinemas.
Small, quirky, unusual....as are the film's it shows. Formally a car showrooms, as the name suggests. Showing films of limited appeal, to the people who enjoy them.
Easily the best cinema in Sheffield. Great atmosphere and still less than a tenner for a ticket (less than a fiver if you're 26 or younger). Even the bar is great, reasonably priced, and allows drinks to be taken into the film!
Lpvely and friendly staff, a wide range of great films and a really nice cafe/ bar :)
First visit here I must say I wasnt disappointed lovely seating I didn't eat or visit the cinema but there definitely on my list
Great place to go with friends and watch a film, nice atmosphere
Great cinema complex with a social focus. Shows the films you need to see that others ignore...
Great seats, cafe/bar, coffee and excellent location to trainstation. Friendly staff and nice atmosphere
First time visiting this place and we received a warm welcome
Lovely little cinema, good food in showroom cafe. Not busy.
Very nice building. The site of an old car show room
An interesting varied menu of films in an iconic building with a good cafe. ..oh ..and it's across from Sheffield station, so easily accessible. Visited from Sunday to Tuesday as part of the Docfest.
Great independent cinema to go to especially if your a fan of foreign language films.
A relaxed meeting space inthe cinema Cafe. Free Wi-Fi and power sockets available for laptop/ phone charging. Lounge comfort with coffee tables
Came in here one teatime when the pub I was hoping to get into was full. Nice and chilled, food until 9pm and tasty too! Will definitely come again.
Friendly. Smart. Comfy. Plenty going on. Popular bar
Great cinema in Sheffield. Shows a superb variety of films not showing in commercial cinemas.
Great cinema.. no hustle and bustle like the major player's, food and drink reasonably priced too. Worth the visit!
Watched bohemian rhapsody. The place did justice to acoustics.
Great cinema. Nice ambiance and great place for a drink or a bite to eat.
Nice independent cinema. Comfy seats and good bar.
Superb cinema. Staff extremely good at their job and evening meal great pre film.
Great independent cinema that shows more niche movies as well as mainstream blockbusters.
Very quick service. Comfortable seats with plenty of leg room. Toilets bit small. Great view through windows of Sheffield at night.
I love the showroom it's so cosy and good but it could be great. Beetroot humus was fabulous BUT it's Veganuary and this is the kind of place you expect to embrace this. One vegan cake which was dried out and passed its best. More vegan food please.
