Excellent, independent cinema. It's very comfortable, always has something worth watching and hosts a number of really good, interesting events as well. You can take your drinks into the cinema from the bar too.

One of the true cinemas to play great movies you won't see anywhere else. Not the biggest screens as the multiplexs obviously but also not expensive to be able to see foreign, award winning movies that multiplexs don't show. See anything here and it will be far more memorable.

Super cheap tickets with their CINE 26!, really helps for a broke person like me. Really cosy place and a lot of the staff are really helpful when you look lost and they are easy to approach. There's a bar/restaurant but never really tried it yet although it looks good and fancy. Quite a lot of things going on , recently they featured Japanese films and it's one of the only few cinemas I know off that actually features Japanese Animated Films.

Nice menu for meat and vegetarian dishes. Hand pulled beer and wines all at reasonable prices. Plus a cinema ticket as well. If they have a film on you want to see it can be possible to get a meal and a bottle of wine and cinema tickets for a cheap price

Very friendly film-related complex with an adjacent cinema (Showroom) and workshop/meeting areas. Good space with excellent facilities and friendly staff. Attended an awards evening recently and found it to be excellent. Very close to a central car park. Highly recommended.

Great selection of movies incomparable to anywhere else in Sheffield. Many wonderful events, such as director Q&As, good balance between big Hollywood premieres and more artistic films, as well as some retrospectives.

Not bad. Good atmosphere and free wifi. Coffee and cake deal a bargain. Quality of coffee average and often depends on who serves you - some lattes are mostly froth, which is a waste. Food just above average. Cinema screens small but not too bad.

Cool, cosy, independent cinema. Shows a great selection of films that we otherwise just wouldn't see. Some of the screens are pretty small but once you are sat watching it's easy to get used to that. The bar and restaurant are also good. More vegan dishes please!

A Sheffield institution the Showroom is a cultural hub. With its excellent city centre location, a well stocked bar/restaurant along with it's clean and well run cinema there is a reason it has lasted so well where others have not. Locally run independent cinemas can be hard to find and are fully worth our support. I would reccomend the local touch of the Showroom over a Vue or Ciniworld every time.

This cinema makes me feel safe. Suffer with anxiety issues, and me and my husband travel from Barnsley to this. On Mondays they have films for people that are deaf. I've a cochlear implant and need subtitles to watch tv and films. All the staff are so polite too and make this a very special place for me to visit. X

This is a lovely art deco cinema. The interior of the cinema is a really interesting design. The cafe is great with a selection of good quality dishes and the staff are always friendly and helpful.

Basic coffee bar . But an exceptional venue for Docfest I found.

A superior viewing experience in all the screens I've visited compared to Vue or Odeon with comfy seats, great quality sound and projectors. The Showroom bar is a great place to have a relaxed drink and chat after a movie. Plenty of local beers and a tasty food menu. They also participate in Meerkat 2 for 1 movies so you can save a bit of cash on a Tuesday or Wednesday.

My favourite cinema, showing the most awesome flicks and docs on the planet. Excellent bars and food. Independent is best when they understand their local community. Don't waste your money at the big cinemas, come here instead.

Every patron stayed for the credits, so great to be in the company of intelligent and thoughtful people, who are interested in the whole process of filmmaking. Also, as I left the cinema I noticed not a scrap of rubbish was left behind, civilised too! I love movies and movie theatres, this theatre is outstanding, not huge and very personal. The staff were all communicative and wise about the art of movies, current and old. The fact you can eat, drink and relax in a place that s like a big home. A place to relax in the bar/cafe before and after with a glass of wine a beer or a coffee and just enjoy the experience. I will make this my go to cinema in the future. Many thanks to all who make it happen. p.s. large popcorn and large drink was very affordable.
