HawaiiUSA Federal Credit Union Review

Moved To HI from the mainland and I wanted to start an account with a local Credit Union. I was unable to have both my wife AND I (it had to be just me with her on the account) therefore she is not an actual member and cannot use a lot of extra services that I can (i.e., notary, cashiers checks etc.), which seemed really stupid to me. In addition to this, I deposited my first paycheck and discovered that for the first month after you open your account they AUTOMATICALLY put a hold on the check for 9 BUISNESS DAYS. Basically, even though the check I deposited was a federal payroll check, I had to wait (including weekends) almost 2 weeks before I could access the money. This borders on criminally stupid... anyway... If you cancel the account after less than 3 months they also charge you $25 so looks like I will have to keep that 5 dollars in saving for a while before i can move onto a financial institution that has at least heard of customer service......

The staff very friendly and good service! I love this place

I've been with Hawaii USA Federal Credit Union for 10 years great service very professional employees and they gave me overdraft protection finally which is a big plus and it will continue doing business and I banking with them forever

No problems the staff is always smiling, lots of shaded parking.

I ve been shopping around for a credit union and HawaiiUSA was reviewed as the best in Hawaii. I heard great things about them and also saw that their numbers were great. I visited the website to do a more detailed research and immediately questioned if they were the best. I was disappointed with its presentation and had no desire to search anymore.

I tried again, still disappointed with the website s presentation but stayed to navigate the website. Let s just say, it s been a hassle to look for information I wanted. It s not impossible but I shouldn t have to dig for the simplest information too.

Invest in creating a user friendly and more appealing website. I m sure it will give customers and shoppers alike a good experience, as well as, increase your business.

The app update erased all of payees & scheduled payments in bill pay - thanks HawaiiUSA...

I've been a member since 2006. I love the location, validated parking, friendly staff, and the services they offer.

The only thing that I don't like is the technology they use. The mobile deposit feature doesn't work on the app. When I try to register for a new online business account, the email for the temporary password doesn't work immediately. I hope they upgrade their technology soon.

Easy open account. Great service. Once seen account opening went quick. Look forward to establishing a great relationship with them.
