Harvey nichols fifth floor restaurant Review

This is a review of the restaurant. The food is so delicious, the cocktails very enjoyable as well. The whole experience was spectacularly elegant.

Zelmam meats in there is a steak only place and it's very good but unjustifiably expensive

What a pleasant surprise. To all extents, just a department store bar/restaurant that shouldn t need to be any good to get a stream of customers. Wrong. The staff were a delight - attentive and friendly but not overbearing. The terrace has a nice view. However, it was the food that surprised me the most. An interesting menu that was very well executed. Poached huss in lobster bisque cooked to perfection; the best salmon I ve eaten in a while (literally perfect - the dill and butter sauce is a prize-winner). Pistachio cake to finish it all off. Typing this review is making me hungry - recommended.

Afternoon tea was very, very average. We were given one coffee with no offer of a top up. We d drank the coffee before the food arrived. I sat drinking a bottle of water I had bought elsewhere. Nobody seemed to care that we had no drink. One waiter kept homing in on a group of women and keeping them amused. He seemed to forget there were other customers. It was very busy and we were all herded in. Not the experience I was expecting for the price. Very average food. Nothing special at all.

Rude and very disorganised staff at the food court (5th floor), avoid unless you like to queue for a chicken wrap.

Arrived for a cocktail, relatively empty, and staff too busy clearing table than taking orders, eventually we went upto the bar and ordered as no one turned up to take our order. Poor service ,

We went for the Mary Poppins returns event. Well presented and efficient. No delay at all. Helpful staff

Go for a glass of wine or tea. The food is hit and very very miss.

Terrible service. Wasn't busy, took nearly 25 mins to get a drink. Trying to pay was another nightmare.

The outdoor rooftop terrace is a rare dining option along Oxford street. On a cool day, this spot pairs well with a Harvey Nichols IPA

Staff on 5th floor is extremely rude.

Went here for the 1st time for a flower making class held by Bloom and Wild. Loved the whole experience !

Worth one look and a drink, just to satisfy and check it off your list of 'to do'.....then 'don't ' bother.

Its the best fish & chips I've ever eaten. Tasty

Albeit expensive.

Atmosphere good, drinks ok and customer service average. Ok for a quick drink nothing more.

Give it a try, good selection of cocktails, staff good. Prices no more expensive than any where else.

So looking forward to a lovely dining experience, however, being greeted by Olga who said nothing to us when we arrived asking for a table for two. She didnt even bother to say hello ladies! She just escorted us to a table and that was it! Not a word from her. She also had an unpleasant look on her face as if we were beneath her so couldnt bother to welcome us to the cafe.
I nearly turned around to leave!
However, once seated Andrea who served us made up for the 100% rudeness we experienced. He went out of his way to ensure our evening went as expected.
The food was really lovely, and may return on that basis, but would not recommend the restaurant for the first impressions.
My friend also informed me , she had a similar experience from the same member of staff named Olga when coming to the cafe to just see what was on offer...off hand behaviour.
So apart from a great food experience, first class service from our waiter Andrea, Olga made such a negative impact on our experience that was so negative i will not forget it.

A nice place to stop for a cocktail or three. I've visited a few times with a friend for a drink and it's a nice welcoming place to go. It's not amazing and there are definitely better places but if you're in the area and want a drink, try it out.

Numbers different cuisines, free coffee for rewards customers on ever visit, excellent service, occasional events with even better food.

Great food and service. Excellent wines, spirits and produce.

Harvey Nichols Fifth Floor Cafe has a unique take on Afternoon Tea - 'Picnic Chic'. The idea is adorable. Delectable sandwiches of H. Amazing space and amazing staff! Went for my friend's birthday party during Covid-19 in July and everything from drinks to social distancing was
very professionally thought out. The staff was friendly and amazing, we got treated with 5 star service all night.
Would highly recommend!

Really good experience !
The terrace looks lovely.
Me and my friend were a bit unlucky because the weather was quite funny.
But the staff helped us a lot moving tables , they are all lovely and so friendly.
They made our day a bit better , thank you all guys !

patsy & edina wouldn't miss llunch at harvey nicks, and neither should you. excellent food, lunches are a great value for a top notch restaurant.
