Not too happy the last two trips or three trips down I haven't got all of my order and nobody seems to know why and I haven't got a good explanation but I'm not getting my frozen food that I've bordered.

This warehouse food bank has such a positive impact on so many communities! If you have 2 hours to spare, volunteer here. You will help make a difference and will be amazed with this facility!

I have served at Harvesters multiple times but not nearly enough! We are called to serve one another, to help our fellow brethren! Much thanks to Harvesters for remaining steadfast in the works of the Lord & placing others before themselves! I will be down soon to lend a hand!

Harvesters provides a great service to our community! The staff often seems overwhelmed, but they have an extremely large area of clients they provide to, and even if it takes a few extra minutes they always get you and your organization taken care of. It may just take a few phone calls and/or emails to get them on the same page as you. Regardless, their helping hand is extremely generous and the service they provide to the community does not go unnoticed.

I'm posting as a volunteer - Harvesters does a great job organizing volunteers and instructing them on the work they'll be doing. I've volunteered here a couple times with groups from work and school and each experience has been pleasant (it's still work, but at least you're working with people you know!).

Harvesters is impressively large. I would have never expected that they operate on the scale that they do or that they could utilize so much warehouse space. They do a lot of good and they can always use a hand!

Great place to volunteer. The staff is organized, helpful, will get you setup quickly AND you get to layout your own schedule. There are a number of different jobs to choose from all in one location. Volunteer to help your community at your liesure, it's a fun time.

Lovely people that support the mission. Never met one that was not polite and kind. Thank you to all the volunteers. Good place to humble your spoiled kids, like my 5 year old grandson when he gets a bit older. This also allows you to give back to the community or just get out of the house if you are retired. Did you know they are FDA approved to process a cow...if they needed to! They also ship out fast response teams for national emergencies, like a flood. They do more then feed the homeless. They help humanity overcome disasters. Good Humans.

I have been to the one in Blue Springs and Independence. The people assisting others are kind and compassionate about helping others. Not only do they pass out food but, take the time to make someone feel special and not just a number on a sticker. I received so much food for just one person, that I came home and divided it up among my aging neighbors, who no longer get out. They were thrilled and very thankful! I have never received any spoiled food or milk. Most dates on packaged food expired within 1-2 months. How awesome is that? I have been to food pantries where people were given dented canned food that was expired and a health hazard. Just because a person is in "need" doesn't mean they deserve something less. Harvesters doesn't do this, thankfully! I have since moved home to Alabama and hope to introduce this way of "helping the community" to the governor of our state, in hopes to better assist the people of Alabama, who would otherwise, do without.

Our church volunteers here periodically. We always have a great experience. Harvesters is never lacking for tasks to assign, and they are always super-organized and ready to handle groups of any size.

Love it

Great organization helping those in need here in the Kansas City area. Get your company, church, sports team, high school, etc. and call to come in and sort or package food items for distribution. It feels great to help all throughout the year.

Well-organized and they do so much for the community. I love that you can take a big group there to volunteer or you can just go on your own or just take your family. They do not turn volunteers away and there's always something to do. Be sure to wear closed-toed shoes and prepare to wash your hands a lot.

This place is amazing, the people who worked their were friendly and helpful. My fellow volunteers were all excited to help and ready to work hard. I cannot wait for my daughter and I to get to do some more work with this amazing organization/ location. Just a heads up if you are looking to organize a group volunteer opportunity, plan well in advance. We have such an awesome community here in the KC area that spots fill quickly.

This place is amazing. I volunteered there for my service project but have gone there twice before with my school, it is the go to place for service work for my classmates. I even met a new person that was super cool me and him were working on sorting drinks together. Overall it was fun and at the same time got to help out the community. I give HARVESTERS 5 STARS.
