Great venue and great staff but get those seats off the floor for a rock concert. Nothing like a band looking out at a crowd sitting!!! Plus if I pay a higher amount for premium tickets, the premium tickets shouldn't take up more than half the room. Premium should be a front area right in front of the stage. Maybe 50 people tops for a venue this size. Just get those seats off the floor for rock concerts.

We went to the Harvester yesterday to see the Marshall Tucker Band. As we waited in line, the owner(?) went down the line and warmly greeted the attendees. When he came to us, he said, "please get your tickets out. It will speed up the process". The seats are comfortable, but the rows of seats are very long. A break in the rows for an aisle would have been helpful. Every time someone got up to use the bathroom or get a beverage, everyone who was seated got bumped. Marshall Tucker started the show by giving his political opinion. It sounded like a Trump rally. Marshall Tucker's vocals are definitely wobbly, but he surrounded himself with great instrumentalists and vocalists.

This was a fantastic venue...not a single bad seat in the house with a great knack for bringing in terrific musicians that give of their stories because of the intimacy of the venue...probably never get a bad concert there...very well organized and the Rocky Mount welcome to this out of towner was warm and personal. Can't wait to go again!

I bought tickets when they first went on sale. It said standing room only. We got there early. 6:30 PM to wait in line. They had it section off for your type of tickets. Doors were to open at 7:00 PM. They didn't open til 7:15. They started with VIP line. They had to use metal detector wand on every one. Then general admission line. My line was still not let in. People who had just shown up went in before us. We finally got in right at 8. No time to get a beverage or use bathroom. I felt like we were not respected as paying customers. They had people at each area inside to make sure you went to the right seating, or standing area. Why could they not let us in until everyone else was in? They would not even hold up a flight to Seattle everyone if first class was not all seated. They should have started letting people in at 7:00pm as they show up.

Great venue with always an awesome lineup of entertainment. Sold merch for the Embers featuring Craig Woolard on 3/9. The staff was great and the volunteers were exceptional. Great help ! Much appreciated. Any time you get the chance, check out this venue and their great lineup of entertainment.

First trip here tonight (4/23/18) to see Edwin McCain. Love the intimate feel and the superior acoustics of this place. I'll definitely keep an eye on the venues shows dates. It's worth the trip we have to make to see an artist here.

This place is a complete JOKE!! Will never return to watch any show. Heaven forbid if you make a single peep or manage to stand in front of someone. I ve had better experiences in a library! If you re looking for a good time stand clear of this dump or better yet visit your local library!!!

Parking is not very good unless you don't mind walking a ways. The only available parking is along the streets and a small lot across the street. Flash photography is not allowed, but you can still get some good photos if you have a good lens. Down to earth atmosphere. Lots of performers from the 80s are on tap for 2018.

We drove from Eden to see the Embers and really enjoyed the show and the facilities were great . It was a very good value for the price. The only complaint I have was my wife wanted a glass of wine and ordered what our friends had ordered directly ahead of us in the line. The wine was served in a clear solo type cup . The previous 2 Coustomers (our friends) got about 3/4 full cup but my wife s was obviously a little less than 1/2 full. Now I don t know how many ounces should be served but we will always remember the small glass of wine at the Harvester. lol. We said something about it they looked at like we were crazy and didn t offer to add any. Needless to say we didn t get any more wine.

An amazing music venue! The building is great, there are no bad seats, and the sound system is near perfect! I've been to shows where I sat in the front row and I've been to shows sitting in the last row and the sound is the same no matter what. That's a very hard thing to pull off unless you have a top of the line system AND you know what you're doing at the sound board. The artist line-up is incredible, and I love the fact that some of the artists are coming back again this year. One thing I know: if an artist has a negative experience at a venue, they are not likely to return. The fact that these returning artists have elected to play here again speaks volumes about the venue, the staff, and the experience they had with the audience. And, speaking of the staff, everyone is so welcoming. They all wear smiles and seem genuinely pleased to see each and every patron as they arrive. And, one more thing - crossing the street is never an issue because there is always a policeman there to stop traffic for you. We who live in this area are extremely fortunate to be close to the Harvester Performance Center. Personally, I can't wait until the next show.

My most recent experience as a non gold guest has been the best thus far. The staff was much more friendly than previous experiences. Its unfortunate that the performers seemed ungrateful and arrogant. Cosmic Charlie, I was disappointed.

Great acoustics!! If you want that intimate feel of a smaller setting, but amazing sound...then this is your place!! Comfortable seating, plenty of leg room. Great artist venues, something for everyone!! Very much enjoyed The Loose Strings Band tonight! New group to me, but very impressed! Would love to see them come back!!

Up close and personal with some of the best artists in the country. Such a unique setting to catch a show. A true asset to Franklin county. Wish there was a no phone policy. The smoking attendant is also waaaaay to high strung. Thinks he's an FBI agent. The other volunteers as well as management is second to none.

Wow! The outdoor concerts and the acoustics is totally amazing! Tonight was our first night hearing Bluegrass and I was totally impressed with the layout. Everyone has a great view of the stage being in your own circles due to the Covid restriction. I highly recommend everyone going to the harvester when there is an outdoor venue please visit, it s worth it! They have extremely great customer service and the layout is totally amazing. Would definitely like to give a shout out to Shelli, she definitely goes above and beyond to please her customers!!! By the way the beer is extremely cold too!!!!

Update: I thought the prices in the beginning were because try were new. I expected the prices would come down some but they haven't. I love having a great small venue locally but cannot bring myself to pay the higher prices. I really wish they would reduce the prices so I could visit them more.

I went there to see the Raelyn Nelson Band, and this was
my first trip to the Harvester
Small venue with very good acoustics, and very friendly and welcoming people. Microbrews at $5 a draft are quite reasonably priced. Members of the band hung out with us after the performance, and a fun time was had by all. I would definitely consider visiting the Harvester again. It was well worth the trip from Roanoke.

I love this venue because it's small and very intimate, you are very close to the performers. The sound system is pretty good, I'd recommend getting seats near the middle of the seating area for the best audio experience.

They have a second smaller venue called the "landing pad," which is downstairs, very intimate, and has excellent audio as well. There are also a limited number of tables down there, if you want a place to park your beverage of choice and hang out with friends.

They have some big name groups here, and also some lesser known acts. I can say that the genre of any given act may not be your style, but it's going to be a good show nonetheless. I've seen Delta Rae, JJ Grey & Mofro, and Theory of a Deadman so far, they've all been great. Edit to add in Southern Culture on the Skids (great show!), The Black Lilies, Tanya Tucker, and Samantha Fish (She was on the Landing Pad.)

There is basic food, drinks, and beer available as well, upstairs and downstairs.

Pro tip: arrive early. There is parking, but it is scattered throughout the area. For the best parking experience, plan on being there at least 45 minutes before doors open. Most shows are general admission as well, so it'll pay you to get there early!

If you're looking for a top notch venue to see your favorite artist, look no further! The Harvester Performance Center is the place to be. The sound in this venue is amazing and the staff is the best around! Well organized and easy to get to!!

Nice little performance center. Professional staff and they treat you wonderfully. My wife has come here alone for Mike Gordon and felt completely comfortable alone and we have come together too for other things. Hard to beat the Harvester. Really nice little place.

Great intimate venue, serving local draft beers, wine and Simi-fresh Pizzahut pizza by the slice. Sound in the auditorium is well managed, that way bands are heard but your ears don't ring the next day.

Seating is gen-admission but divided into 2 sections. That said, there are no bad seats!

Small but perfect venue, we came and saw Scott Stapp and Weapons of Anew. We were in the gold section which surprisingly was not that expensive to get tickets for. I loved being able to sit down in a decent chair when I needed too, but also loved being able to get great picture and video of the show. Will definitely return here for future performances.

Great place to catch a show in the heart of downtown Rocky Mount! Not a huge venue so you feel very close to the artist's. The food and alcohol is very reasonable, we paid $5 per beer. I will definitely come back for future shows!

What a lovely, unique venue! The sound and acoustics were phenomenal. Very comfortable seating and great stage view from every angle. Staff was beyond friendly and accommodating. Great food and beverage selection at reasonable prices. There's absolutely nothing negative to be said about this place. A lot of interesting history in this charming little town.

This is the best place anywhere to hear music. We have seen everyone from Three Dog Night to Kris Kristofferson to Robert Cray to Boz Scaggs in this intimate, acoustically great setting. The staff are wonderful. You could not ask for a better spot!

Remarkable performance space in lovely downtown Rocky Mount Virginia. Booking top flight musical acts in a very intimate setting. Saw the legendary Kris Kristofferson and it was like seeing him sing for friends in his living room.
