Called this firm to handle a speeding ticket for me. The first time I called I was transferred to Rachel to leave a voicemail. I did so and did not get a call back. I called again and was able to speak with her, explained the situation and had everything set up for them to appear in court for me. Prior to the court date she emailed me a waiver to sign, which I signed and returned and requested confirmation that it was received. I have not heard a word from them since. My court date was a week ago and I haven't even heard the results. I'm honestly not even sure if they went at this point. Will continue to reach out.

Mr. Jay White really is the person you need representing you in Cabarrus County. We didn't even know where to begin. I spoke with 5 different lawyers (2 from Charlotte) and finally went with Mr. White for legal counsel. He was fair-priced, efficient, responsive, and got EXACTLY what we desired from a legal perspective. He was able to calm us and reassure us that he would fight for us in court (and he did). We will absolutely use him and only him if we ever need legal counsel again.

When I moved to concord, I sent this place a resume. They never responded back with even no thanks, we don t need anybody. They didn t email or call back on my follow up attempts.

If that s how they would treat one of their own, how do you think they would treat the general public?

It also looks like they hire Charlotte law grads too.

K. Todd Phillips thru me under a bus paid him to represent me and he did not show up in court and did not tell me about a deposition hearing ...then sent me a letter demanding I release him of being my attorney and if I did not sign he would sue me...POS... hope his back is still hurting

David Williams was fabulous! We ve used him for 2 home closings and other legal issues (wills) and his service is 1st rate. He will work for his clients best interests every time! Our last closing was difficult due to COVID19 and the buyers attorneys not sending funds in a timely manner. David reaches out and they immediately sent funds. Highly recommend!

I called to get help with a landlord issue. The assistant to the attorney was in disbelief of what we were going through yet the attorney was unwilling to hear or take on my case . I can only assume it s because I rent from a large company that probably has a bigger wallet than mine. My advice is to find an attorney that actually wants to help people.

The one lawyer there who is handling my mother s estate will not respond when he was beforehand to finally send heir s funds out. I am growing suspicious about why it is not closing out. No response to email and the receptionist will not tell us what is going on. No response or being honest makes people worrisome. So the law form in the past was very good by other lawyers but this one handling my mother s estate is not professional and suspicious of why no response!

Jay White takes a personal interest in his clients as well as takes care of them professionally. He is excellent!

Went bankrupt waiting for this firm to do their job. They talk allot and do little. I found real lawyers to take care of our bankruptcy. This firm seems to only care about a certain class of people. I will never send them any customers. I only wish I could rate them at a zero.

Jay white is the guy to go to dealt with him for months he responded to all calls and emails even help me with my case a lot saved me a lot of money I know I ll be dealing with him again

In June I was given a speeding ticket. I was suppose to appear in court at the end of Aug. I forgot and remembered 3 days prior to the date. I called Hartsell & Williams and I received a call same day. The lawyer Jay White was very helpful. I had called another lawyers office early but after the positive energy Mr. White had I could not help but choose them. The process was quick and he handled my case in a timely manner. Would definitely recommend them to others.

Jay White was able to successfully handle my case with an outcome that did not result in any points on my driving record or insurance.

Called them with my court case coming up in less than two weeks and they took care of everything. My clean driving record stayed intact and I did not have to go to court - even paid them my court costs so they could ha file for me. Great communication and would recommend!

We contacted Hartsell & Williams seeking legal counsel after a cross country move where the movers did extension damage to many pieces of furniture and appliances. When we called, we were told there would a retainer fee of $175.00 which was good for a 30 consultation. I paid the $175 over the phone and was told we would be receiving call. We got the call and spoke with Austin Dutch Entwistle. He was what seemed to a hurry and was very vague when we asked questions. He was quick to ask for $800 for a retainer fee but did not answer a lot of our questions clearly. We felt like we should discuss retaining them and check our options first and when we told Dutch that he quickly ended the call. The entire call was 7 minutes long. Unable to get things worked out ourselves we decided it was best to call to ask two simple questions and was told by Michelle, Dutch s assistant, we would need to pay another $175 to speak with Dutch. I asked why since we paid for 30 minutes and only got to speak with Dutch for 7 minutes. She said she would check and call us back. Two days later she had not so I called them, and she said he would not speak with us unless we paid the $175 plus $800 for a retainer. I told her no and to please ask him to just answer two simple questions and he refused to answer them. She sent me an email telling me to find another attorney. I certainly will be doing so. I also spoke with my credit card company and was told I should dispute the charge since complete services were not rendered. Nowhere was I told verbally or in writing the $175 I paid was only for one call no matter how long it was. I was told it was for 30 minutes, so what about the other 23 minutes? Based on other reviews it seems this a pattern for this company so please do your research before retaining this firm so you will not be a victim of their scams!

**** UPDATE March 5, 2021: Dutch did call me back with Michael Burgner on a conference call and immediately Mr. Burgner started to try to intimate me and was very rude not letting me say anything. He told me I was a pathetic person and how I needed to keep my options to myself and then hung up on me without allowing me to say anything! I guess Dutch felt bad about the way I was treated and called me back trying to apologize for his so-called co-worker's rude attitude. Dutch asked me what I though and told him my honest options of how rude his co-worker really was, and he acted surprised to hear what I had to say. He asked me if he could have a week to decide if he wanted to take on my case and would then call me back to let me know. I played along but what he did not know is that I had already found another attorney to take on the case and it is going great and I am treated with much more respect and feel like I am valued as a customer. Dutch did call me back and tell me that Mr. Burgner thought it was best they did not take the case. I informed Dutch that was simply fine because I had already obtained another counsel.
Mr. Burgner really needs to learn how to talk to people and not be a bully and act like he is better than others...! His rude actions cost their firm my business and I hope this review will encourage people to do some research prior to deciding to go with this law firm unless they want to be treated like garbage! Best of luck Mr. Burgner as it is clear to see you will need it!

I had an unfortunate experience with one of the attorneys in this office. Though he appeared competent, he acted unprofessionally. This resulted in my terminating my client relationship with him and hiring another attorney in town. Additionally, the office did not post a payment to my account. The burden of proof is on the client. Fortunately, I was able to prove my payment. I would not recommend.

I used Jays services recently. I had a short turn around time and he and his staff took care of business. His office number was readily available for customer support and Jay communicated quickly via email. They got everything sorted on their end with little to no hassle on mine. I would absolutely recommend them or use the services again. The one thing that did strike me as odd was that Jay initially called from a No Name Caller ID so I ignored the phone call. I listened to the voicemail he left so that I knew it was him and was ready when he called again from the No Caller ID. It was a tad bit strange but did not take away from his ability to get the job done. 10/10

Jay white went above and beyond to take care of me and my case made me feel like I was his #1 client man of his word what more can you ask for.

My son was traveling back to Georgia Southern University from a service trip in Charlotte. He was pulled over for speeding and the ticket required that he appear in court. He was in a panic as the court date was scheduled for an early morning during the week and he has bery big projects due. Thankfully we were guided to contact Jay White of Hartsell & Williams. He assured us that he could assist and most likely be able to represent my son in the matter without my son missing two days of school to appear in court. Jay couldn't have been more professional and frankly calming to this worried mother. Since we were two states away, Jay had to communicate mostly through email. His communication was always clear and the instructions were as well. I strongly recommend Jay White as an attorney who has the skills and knowledge of the North Carolina traffic courts needed to successfully represent his clients. Especially since we were two states away.

My family and clients have used this firm on occasions over the years for business matters, estate and family matters, and occasional traffic tickets. I have found them to be responsive, professional, and effective. It is also a good firm for the "one-stop shop" as they specialize in many areas of law. There are several excellent firms in Concord and I would consider this firm to be one of them.

Mishandled a real estate closing. The attorney for the closing told me I could have 30 seconds of his time basically REFUSED to discuss the issue. Inappropriate behavior. Very unprofessional. Issue unresolved. Seller of the property will need to seek counsel to resolve the issues. Unfortunate.

Couldn't get anyone to call back. Apparently aren't interested in representing us. Never would return call after numerous messages. Wouldn't talk on phone. Always " on phone" or " out of office" even though they were in. Wasted weeks of our time. Run away as fast as you can.
