Harris Hawaii Realty Group Review

I can no longer recommend Harris Hawaii. I used them to managae/rent out my Maui property. Things have changed drastically. My revenue checks were late every single month. Then several of them bounced!! The communication is poor and the promises are empty. Owners are starting to take their business elsewhere so be advised- if you book through them you probably won't wind up in the property you thought you rented if the owner of the property switched management companies. I am not real sure what's going on behind the scenes and I can't get any answers. I found it very hard and frustrating to do business with them.

We LOVED our stay at Hale Nui - it was an awesome experience and family vacation! From the booking through the entire stay, we never encountered a problem. Vicki and Harris Hawaii Realty were so responsive to any question we had! We highly recommend this house and renting through Home Away/Harris Hawaii Realty Group - you will not be disappointed!

Very sad about this company. I called to check on why they cancelled my parents reservation. I am not on the reservation. Mike was very pleasant to talk to as this was a frustrating situation. My parents called to inquire about their cancellation policy, but did not want to cancel. They wanted to know just in case something came up with business. The person that cancelled the reservation does not work there anymore. The lady who works there was yelling in the background was that I was not there for original conversation, that I don t know. Basically calling me a lier. She also said I was rude. I was very polite to Mike so I can find out what happened. My parents were very upset their vacation was ruined, and they were being charged a cancellation fee for something they did not cancel. They have rented this room before with no issues through another management company.

Four major things happened that should not have.
1. Mike said he would look it on a solution for them, While that lady s was yelling about me..unprofessional and disturbing.
2. Cancelling rooms with no written confirmation. Also room was under my moms name and credit card number so my dad should not have been able to have access to the reservation.
3. I should not have been able to obtain ANY information from Harris Hawaii as I am no where on the reservation. Isn t this a violation of privacy? Anyone can get information and cancel my reservation...

This house was the perfect place for our family. We had six adults and three chidren and there was plenty of room for everyone. The house was clean and as described in the listing. Everything worked inside and out. The pool was great and well-maintained. The property was located right accross from the entrance to Whaler's Village with shopping and dining options and only a few minutes from Lahaina and all of the Front street action. We no problems or issues during our stay. We highly reccomend this property for groups of up to 8.

Never rent from them!!! I had a reservation for a year, got to maui and found out they canceled my two weeks with no notice. Had to scramble to find another room. Liars and cheats. Would not return our money, and said we canceled.

Don't rent from these people. Cancelled my reservation without contacting me by phone or in writing which is stated in their conditions. Rerented to someone else then basically said too bad. Rude people and bad business practices.

We rented Hale Nui for a week to celebrate our 50th wedding anniversary. We brought along our 2 children, their spouses and 4 grandchildren. We looked at houses on the big island, Kauai and Oahu before selecting Hale Nui and we all delighted we chose it. The pictures on the internet are great, and the actual property is better than it shows! The location is great. The house was immaculate, and the pool, spa and grounds are beautifully maintained. The grandchildren loved being able to 'bunk' in the same room, and couldn't get enough of the pool! The two master suites are very spacious, and the main master is like being at a 5 star resort. The kitchen was well stocked, including two dishwashers and under-counter wine fridge and icemaker. Harris Hawaii Realty was very responsive to any requests both before and during our stay (thanks, Vicki!). My daughter had a photographer come to the property to take family photos for the 50th, and he was blown away with how beautiful the house and grounds were. This property is in the Kaanapali area on the Royal Kaanapali Golf Course, and wasn't a target for wayward golf balls.

I would recommend anyone rent this property, and I am sure you will be as pleased with it as we were. You should leave totally relaxed!

Terrible service...We rented a condo managed by Harris Realty in the Kaanapali Royal resort. Condo had no A/C which we discovered on arriving. We were not notified beforehand even though a few of the buildings were undergoing A/C maintenance. They should have known this and contacted us.

I made 5 calls to the agency, with no calls back. Finally I looked up the owner Ken Harris and called him. He did call me back and said that they would make things right by either getting portable A/C units or moving us to another condo. I did say that I would prefer the A/C units since we had other family members staying at the same resort. It was very hot.

The next day, I personally went into their office to again request portable A/C units or a credit/refund. I spoke to Vickie who said they would definitely make it right and she asked me if 2 portable A/C units would do the trick. I assured her that that would be great and to go ahead and install it while we were out. She said she would either text me or call with status as she had my cell number. When we returned to the condo, nothing had been done. no text, no calls.

I am sure that since were were only staying 3 nights, they figured that they wouldn't need to do anything since they already had our money.
Be aware, do not rent from Harris Realty. They tell you that they will make things right, but then do nothing.
