My family and I love Harpoon Hanna's! Great food and atmosphere especially when you dine outdoors.

Waited about a half hour for our waitress as then another half hour for our appetizers then anther half hour for the meal.

I am 22 years old and had 3 valid Ids from out of state and they refused to serve me a cocktail. This place is disgusting unhygienic and very very slow. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!!!

Amazing Amazing Amazing!!! Food was the best I have ever had and the service was just as good. Prices were great and I was absolutely amazed at the quality of food for the price I paid. I would recommend them to anyone!

Always a great place to chill. Usually have live music on the weekends. Good drinks. Good food. Just remember to have patience at the beginning of the season. New staff has a learning curve, so just keep it in mind. They are always friendly.

Seafood potato skins were good and crab cake was not bad, service was sub par. Was told they had rum buns by a family member, but the server said they did not.

Normally I love harpoon Hannah's but I just left the bar and the brunette bartender was miserable. Bad services and my food was cold. I was really disappointed bc i normally like it!!!!

Always a bit of a wait, but it is worth it. Kids love the muffins.

This review is specifically for Milena (Mirena?). We had the pleasure of chatting with her as our server on Friday evening at the outside deck. She is kind, compassionate and quite knowledgeable about the food and service at Harpoons! We look forward to our next visit and will specifically ask for her as our server. UPDATED: AUGUST 31 2019 ~ HI Wes, I wanted to give a specific shoutout to the outside team ~ Bre, Ana, Stella, Eileen, Charlie, Mike and the newer crew. 19 months ago, we moved from Maryland to West Fenwick Island Full Time. We have frequented Harpoons at least 2x per week. From the beginning, each of the staff has been welcoming of us. We're greeted with a Smile and a "How are You" at each visit. It's a joy to see everyone and to have a camaderie with them. I've watched all of the staff members display amazing "grace under pressure" on days when the bar was 3 deep and the patrons were less than pleasant. As we all know, some people treat our service members like "staff" instead of hard working individuals there to cater to a pleasurable experience. Recently, 4 weeks ago, a day occurred where it appeared that several different groups of patrons were in a mood and had been drinking elsewhere. Barking Orders at the Bartenders, displaying attitudes and expecting entitlement. Over the period of hours, each of these employees still served everyone with stellar service and a smile despite the attitudes they were receiving. Most bartenders in the area (as I've witnessed) would have given attitude back or ignored the customer for a lengthy period of time. This was not the case at Harpoons. Everyone should be commended for keeping their cool and making the experience as enjoyable as possible for everyone. I just thought you should know!

Went for lunch with friends. Sat on the outside deck near the water and enjoyed a lovely lunch. Food selection was American traditional and prepared well. All in all was a great lunch. Wait staff was also friendly and responsive.

Food expensive for portion size, service very slow.

We were greeted by 2 hostesses and a manager (Kelsey)...it was Thanksgiving and the foyer was packed with diners. We were given a pager, went to the bar and read over the menu. Before we could get a drink from the bar, our table was ready and we met our server Sara!!! What a wonderful night!!! We ate SO well, had amazing service and all for an affordable cost! Did I mention Kelsey and Sara?!?!?!?!? SUPERSTARS!! Exemplary service, personable care and enough SASS to make us NEED to come back for another visit. YOU MUST MAKE THE TRIP!!!

11am restaurant is dead and haven't had service in over 35mins! Don't have Frank as a server! Had to call another server over an have her take over.

The food here is superb, the atmosphere is great, and their waitstaff has always been friendly. We get generous portions when we go. I love there number of seafood combinations, and bringing around muffins and outstanding raisinbread is a highlight. My wife and i LOVE the buffalo chicken dip appetizer. This is our favorite ocean city spot!

Gabbie was incredible! So kind and attentive! Food was fabulous. I had the crab pizza gluten free. Crab Balls all meat. Assorted breads. Great views of the Delaware River. Overall great experience ! Thanks Gabbie !

Well sitting here with about 20 people in bar - have to go up to bar for service - no one has even asked us for another drinks - how was the food - which was ok. Like they redoing us a favor. I think they need to give their employees a pep talk. Plenty of bars in ocean city. Really need better food and service!

I ordered the chicken imperial and it was very dry and I did not enjoy it at all... I don t think the cooks even seasoned the food. The service and theme of the restaurant were nice though.

I took my family including my parents aunt and cousin to Harpoon Hanna's in Fenwick and was very disappointed. We were sat as a party of 8 but told we would have to set 6 and 2 or 4 and 4 when sat my father and I just had to simply pull the 2 tables together. Our waitress comes to take our drink order disappears returns 15 minutes later no drinks to take our food order we start to order she now informs us the manager said appetizers only (That would have been nice to know before we had dedicated 35 minutes to this establishment). We asked if we could order salads the waitress had to go ask, she returned 10 minutes later with all the drinks except my fathers. My father politely reminded her that he needed his drink when she took his food order. She returned aprox. 5 minutes later with my fathers drink and at that time some needed refills so we put those orders in and asked for napkins, forks and recommended to her that she bring us a pitcher of water to help her out. The waitress returns to our table 20 minutes later with our drink refills, no forks no napkins no pitcher of water. She informs us that the bar and kitchen are backed up and the facility is half closed off. We do not see our waitress for another 20 minutes at this time she brings our appetizers (very underwhelming and very over priced). She then told us that our salads would be out shortly and asked if we needed anything, we then put in refill orders asked for the pitcher of water again and asked for cocktail sauce and forks again. She returned 10 minutes later with our salads and told us she would have our drinks out shortly, we reminded her we still did not have forks or cocktail sauce. She comes back 5 minutes later with forks and then promptly returns with our drinks except my fathers refill again, my father then reminds her he needs a diet and cocktail sauce she then returns 5 minutes later with a diet coke, pitcher of water and cocktail sauce.

Overall this was a very poor first and most likely last experience this establishment. The food and drinks were expensive and very underwhelming and the service was terrible. Our mixed drinks were very watered down and the some of the food portions were very small for the price.

Always great food, we've been going to Hanna's for years. Our server was fun and awesome. We never had to ask for anything. The coconut muffins have always been amazing.

Service awesome! Have never had a bad experience here, and last night was probably at least my 10th time there. Always has been at least a group of 6 of us, not one person has EVER not loved their meal, down to the bread. A must visit when in Ocean City or Bethany/Rehobeth Beach areas.

Great venue... fast service. Good drinks.. didn't eat there this time.

Can't say enough about this place. It has it all & the prices are within reason. Good food, nice view & a friendly staff.

Never order take out! Ordered 200 worth of food and it was horrible! Seafood tasted boiled and like water no seasonings. Baked potatoes were old and hard, salad dressing tasted as if water was added to stretch sauce. I mean it was the worst food ever. And the menu said their stuffed chicken was breaded stuffed with broccoli and cheeses that was a lie, it was unbreaded barely done and stuffed with chopped broccoli no cheese!

My favorite restaurant in the whole world. I love this place. It's a 2 hr drive from my house, but I make a special trip at least once a year. My wife and grandson love the fresh baked breads and muffins. Me, I go for the seafood, especially the crab legs!

Nice atmosphere and location. Friendly service. Nice menu and reasonable prices. The food was hot and fresh. It was flavorful and seasoned well.

Beautiful scenery for your dining experience. I found the wait staff friendly and didn't have to wait long for the food. We were offered bread and muffins while waiting for our meals. I found the food reasonably priced for the area. We asked if my daughter could try the lobster bisque prior to ordering a whole bowl. They brought her half a bowl just to try! She did indeed enjoy it and ordered a bowl! I felt like our waiter was new and he tried his best, but didn't seem to know the food very well. Not a complaint though, as our food was very good. He even allowed me to make a substitution well after I had ordered. We sat outside and I was glad that we did, as I felt like the interior had a strange odor. I would recommend and return.

One of the best restaurant's on the eastern shore! Every year when we vacation in Fenwick Island, DE and/or Ocean City, MD we make sure to make a few stops at Harpoon Hanna's. We take our entire family here (even our 2 and 3 year old) and enjoy dinner out on the covered deck along the water. The view of the sunset here is gorgeous, partnered with delicious seafood and Harpoon's delicious homemade muffins makes for a perfect dining experience for everyone. My husband and I also always come here for our "date night" and enjoy drinks and live music out at the Tiki Bar. Definitely add this to your list of places to eat when you're in the area!

We absolutely loved everything about this place from the food to the drinks and awesome service(Steve) our server was fantastic! I recommend this place to anyone that loves good food and very reasonable prices! Fabulous

After a sixteen hour trip from St. Louis, Missouri to Virginia Beach, we were ready to try some great seafood. Unfortunately, we picked the wrong suggested restaurant. The food was overpriced and over-cooked. I ordered a $26 fish of the day and it was too dry. My daughters ordered pasta that lacked flavor and the overall quality of the meal was very poor. It was a terrible seafood experience.

I did a carry out order, it was ready on time and the pick up staff was very nice and helpful, problem was the coconut shrimp were clearly pre made frozen and not very good.. definitely not worth 18.99. I don't mind paying that for fresh breaded shrimp, but frozen? Should have cost no more than 10.99, rip off.

Very nice place with great views. Right by the water. I went here to see a band from PA and it was a great time. They also have good food and drinks.

We had to find our server after waiting 20 minutes. We came at 4:30 and there was tons of staff because it wasn t busy. The atmosphere is gorgeous. Such a shame.

This place is ok.

We were seated on the water and immediately seen by our waitress. We ordered drinks and appetizers (crispy vegetable wraps and the crab dip).

The crab dip was some of the best that I've ever eaten, no fillers with plentiful crab meat. The vegetable wraps however were very bland, with zero seasoning, even the sauce dip that accompanied the wraps was not good.

I would still recommend.

The coconut muffins they give for table bread are seriously AMAZING. The deck seating and atmosphere is nice.

It was one of the few places that was open on Christmas day. The service was good & the food was ok. We had 3 appetizers: bacon wrapped scallops, ahi tuna & crab dip. The scallops was the favorite. The tuna was plain & the dip was too creamy. Overall it was all good.

A staple in Ocean City but seems to have lost something along the way. Lobster was tough and tasteless. Grilled salmon was dry and falling apart. Thankfully the fish and chips came through. But I can go somewhere less expensive for fish and chips. Not the jewel that I remember it being in years past.

Glasses hanging from the bar, so dirty ,,ugh !! While wait staff are hanging around on their phones, in front of customers .. Just trying to help your business...

I visited this establishment with my family and the atmosphere is decent with pretty water views, but the food is mediocre and overpriced. We arrived around 6pm and were told it was an hour and a half wait for 8 people. We weren't seated until after 8. I ended up leaving around 9pm before the main meals had arrived as it had been over 3 hours that we had been there without eating with a 20 month-old who was more than patient. The bread was pretty good, the crab pretzel was mediocre and the cesar dressing on my salad was too salty I didn't finish it. My in-laws brought my food back to the hotel, which did not have plastic ware that was much needed. The food may have been better warm but it was just gross and the $20 stuffed chicken was tossed. Not to mention, I ordered an extra side of apple sauce that we didn't receive. I would not recommend this place if you have children. If you're single and have tons of time to kill then it might bode well for you.

Only have been once but the service was excellent and the food was awesome.

My wife and I have become regular customers since we relocated here from the Baltimore area. Our experience at Harpoon Hanna's is always one of great ambience, food and service.

The food isn't good but the view is had to walk out the last time because my hamburger didn't arrive after 40 minutes.

The deck is a great place to sit in the summertime. The inside is also good at night. They are usually very busy. I like the food selections with crab here very much, cannot go wrong. The ambience is good. The service is usually good. They bring in overseas workers during the summer but they do fine.

Great food! The ONLY reason I don't give it five stars is because the majority of the menu involves crab meat in some form, and I'm allergic to crab meat. Hard to find something that didn't have it.

Inattentive Front desk seated us in the dining room when we only wanted drinks..didn't ask why we were there so after eating free muffins in the dining room we got led to the open deck with no help finding a table...our party of 5 included 4 senior citizens sat in the sun, had one OK drink and left.

Great food and location. But wait staff must be imported. They do not speak English very well and if your there toward the end of the night when all the wait staff is cleaning up or sitting around (in the dining room while you try to eat) it sounds like your in Russia because they all start carrying on in their native tounge.

Always a fave for coconut muffins, crab legs and a split bottle of sparkling wine.
