Hard Rock Hotel Chicago Review

We got a large suite here a few weeks ago. The service was excellent, as is with any decent hotel in Chicago. Nothing particularly special there. The room however was extremely disappointing. It was a spacious area, but the whole thing just felt completely unfinished. There wasn t a single piece of art or mirror on any of the walls in the living room. It felt almost antiseptic. The furniture was incredibly generic hotel furniture. We won t be back.

The hotel is beautiful. The staff are gracious and accommodating. The room is beautiful. I have never wanted to take home a hotel robe before, and usually I'm not even inclined to wear the hotel robe, but this one is so lovely and soft, I'm tempted to buy it. The quality of the robe is a small detail, but showcases the overall quality of the hotel: comfortable, inviting, and luxurious.

BUT my God, the sketchiest billing. I had a prepaid room (confirmed upon check-in), and ordered room service. They tried to tack on the full price of the room!! When I pointed this out to the billing folks 3 weeks later when I saw it on my credit card statement, I was given the run-around for hours despite sending in ample evidence. Ended up settling this with my credit card company. Will NEVER stay here again, a bunch of unapologetic CRIMINALS!!!

There are plenty of nice hotels in Chicago- stay somewhere that doesn't make you regret it afterward.

Nice hotel, but I expected much more from a Hard Rock, it has excellent location

The picture of the lady with no face is pretty creepy. Haha but it's fine, guess it makes the room. The room is really clean and calming. The only thing dirty was the clamp for the ice bucket but we don't use that so it didn't bother us. Great location and so many restaurants and shops in the neighborhood. Great place to stay.

Love the view of the city from our room. Staff at front desk and restaurant provided exceptional service.

It seemed less impressive than pics online. Otherwise no issues and great location right in downtown.

The room we were given for our formal was nice and accomadating but it was a bit small. Also our room was changed at the last minute and due to that our DJ was not provided speakers when we were told they would be provided, so our DJ had to run back and get their own speakers which delayed out event.

Went there for open house Chicago. What a disappointment - they let you in on 2nd floor and that's about it. Nothing to see there.

Great building architecturally with a prime location.

We visited during spring break, and this place impressive. We got a great deal through their website (even better than any of the web "negotiators") and stayed three days. It's a great location, and you can walk to Millenium and Grant parks within a couple of blocks, or down the Magnificent Mile if you go the other way a few blocks. Best of all the staff was top notch. Front Desk staff was so helpful, the valets knew our names and our car from the first time we visited and the staff in Chuck's Manufacturing (restaurant) was awesome. I think they even gave us a room upgrade, because it was just fantastic. We had agreed to try other hotels when we go back, but I think they may have changed our minds on that.

Stayed here for business and it was a decent stay for what it is. No frills and rooms were clean. The biggest issue was the fire dept. nearby making calls in the middle of the night. Staying opposite side of that will probably improve your nights sleep.

Fabulous stay. One of the best hotel in Chicago by far. Fantastic atmosphere and the service is more than exceptional.

It looks like the hotel is trying really hard on the surface when you first walk in. As you continue to walk to your room, you will notice that not a lot of effort was put into the room. Don't get me wrong, the room is nice and I have stayed in way worse hotels, but they needed to fix some things. The toilet kept doing something like "clearing it's throat" every like 45 minutes and it was loud. The hanger for the towels weren't on the wall all the way. The front desk guys were very nice, but didn't explain what they were charging me until after they took my card...I know I should have asked, bit they should have let me know. It was downtown and close to a lot of activities to do in chicago. Traffic was horrible and took forever to and from the airport...I know that isn't a hotel thing..just more of an fyi thing.

Nice area, walking distance to shops and millennium park. Half mile walk to blue line. As for the hotel they provide complimentary wifi, with no required sign in - which I think contributes to their slow bad connection. The rooms have a nice decor but smell musty, maybe because we came after the rain and humidity. Bathrooms do have some rust and grime but didn't bother me. Room is next to busy streets so you will hear street noise. Overall the place is ok, I hated their wifi...

Convenient location, clean and comfortable rooms and friendly staff.

I was visiting this hotel as I was in town for the Coldplay concert. I got this room on a very good price and decided on a whim to stay here. I was very impressed by the cleanliness and the service of the hotel staff. My room and the view from the window was beautiful. The bathroom is very modern and elegant and the room itself was very spacious with comfortable beds. the hotel itself is located in a nice area of the downtown area.

The place really keeps with its name, especially on Lollapalooza weekend. THIS IS THE SPOT TO BE AT. You'll run into band members playing the fest (as this is where many of them are staying at for the weekend) and famous people. The parties are legendary, that is if you can get into them. The building itself is gorgeous as well.

Highly recommended! Very comfortable and spacious rooms. Staff were very friendly and accommodating. The hotel is located in a great location - a short walk to the park and many restaurants nearby.

Great service. Room was right next to the ice machine and staff room so it was extremely noisy throughout the night. Room was clean and comfortable!

Not what I expected and could not control my room temperature. I asked the front desk and they said that they hadn't switched over to the summer system and the winter system was still on....opened the window to get the room temp to drop but it didn't help much.

The Hotel was nice. It seems only cool people can stay here. Everyone who I passed on the elevator looked like a rock star. The room was nice. The table was a bit wobbly. I really didn't like the whole snack bar thing and how everything is motion sensored. The restaurant was probably the worst part tho. The staff was nice but the food was BAD. Don't get me wrong.... I'll eat anything, but thishe was not good. Everyones food was bad. Nobody liked it. It was also way over priced. I would give it a 2 but you can't beat that view.

Very sleek hotel in an historic landmark. The staff is excellent- professional yet people. The rooms are nice but I've seen better in the city.

A beautiful hotel, very modern, super clean and brand new. The staff were very helpful and accommodating. There was a problem with a tv in my room but it was fixed and without hesitation I was upgraded to another room for free! The views were amazing in both rooms too, I truly had a wonderful time... :) Thank you all at the St Jane!

We weren't in our room much but the view from the 22nd floor was great and the staff seemed super friendly

Great location and the staff have been great so far. Huge problem with temp control in the room and the windows need to be replaced with sound proofed windows. Once these two things are fixed, I will give the hotel a 5.

This hotel is absolutely beautiful! The staff was very helpful and knowledgeable about the Chicago area and recommended great restaurants for us. They even helped make reservations for us!!! The service was unbeatable and the design and decor of the hotel was so pretty! The hotel itself was very clean and the room sizes were just right. We will definitely come back to stay at St. Jane next time we re in Chicago again.

The outside of the hotel was clean and well-kept. We were greeted by a valet with a smile and direct eye contact. The interior was playing rock music and head to Fender guitars available for you to jam on near the lobby. The key cards, well I don't remember anything about the key cards. There's also a Hard Rock Cafe store. There's a complimentary ping pong table on the first floor in case you've got kids are bored adults. The seating is also comfortable and we enjoyed our time in their Lobby.

Great location, especially for the price! It was right downtown. Only downside is parking (which is quite expensive). Friendly staff, beautiful and spacious rooms with nice views! Would definitely recommend!

We were staying for a bachelor party. We got 2 rooms on the 35th floor for the 7 of us. When we checked in, we were told to go to one room, which was a single bed room and were confused. We contacted the front desk, and they had forget about access to the other room on the floor. They updated our keys and we were set for both rooms. There was no ice on the floor so we spent a good 20 minutes going to the 21st for ice before management told us they would bring us up some instead. The rooms were nice, clean and big, with a pool table, large couches and chairs, and tabeltop video game. 3 bathrooms in all with toiletries included. The rooms had a view that was truly amazing, right down Michigan Avenue both ways. Big screen TV and sound bar with auxiliary input helped jump start the party. The only other complaint is we never received our 2 roll out beds we paid for. Hoping to get reimbursed for that. All in all, a nice stay for a decent price.

The location was great. The hotel was clean and the rooms was nice.

Fun place, amazing views on the upper floors of Millennium Park and the city

I had a 4 day business trip and we stayed at the Hard Rock on property at Universal in Orlando or as I called it the Hotel California. They had the most comfortable beds and the best pillows ever. I don't think I've slept better. I want those pillows for home.

Had a great stay here! I loved that I could bring my dog! My room was spacious and impeccable! All the staff was very friendly, including a gentleman who knew the best places to go with a dog in tow!

Decent rooms, 24h gym, friendly staff. What's not to like?

It's about location and theme. Great location, fun theme if you're into AC/DC or Tom Petty. Beds are just okay. Expect to pay $50 at least for overnight parking.

Overall we enjoyed our stay at the Hard Rock Hote in Chicago Illinois. The staff was friendly and the lobby area was impressive. The rooms were nice, clean, and quiet. The room we stayed in on the 16th floor had two double beds. The room, unfortunatly, did not have a refrigerator or microwave. My only complaint was that the free WiFi was so slow and spotty that we weren't even able to really stay connected to it. Overall we had a good experience.

Room was fine... not good, not bad.... fine... drinks at bar downstairs were crazy expensive...

Stayed at the hard rock for a couples weekend with metallica. What a blast. Great staff, friendly desk ppl and courteous employees,all around. They leave you alone and arent naggy

I needed a hotel near a conference I was attending, and St. Jane Hotel is just across the street from the meeting venue. My expectations were exceeded. I felt lucky to have found this property, and will definitely return when I travel to Chicago.
The room was well appointed, clean and good size. The reception staff was friendly and helpful with my requests. Good location on Michigan Avenue.

Wonderful room and great location, close to major tourist attractions and public transportation. Amenities such as the Nespresso machine, fridge and tea bags were wonderful bonuses. Only drawback was the loud noises from the streets below at night.

Excellent location and very comfortable bed. Enjoyed the gym as well.

Really nice hotel. It has been kept up very well and it quite modern. It os easy to get to and the staff are extremely courteous. Free WiFi, Netflix, Hulu, and Pandora are big bonuses too. Within walking distance of a lot of downtown. Very good deal for the price. I enjoyed my stay.
