as always, Cebu is where you find the best DIMSUM HOUSE ever
Good genuine Chinese food. Nice menu. Good service. Medium pricing Good for groups and families
we just had a holiday in cebu and tried their food for the first time and liked everything we ordered. shame... i think wala nito sa manila... i.definitely will.come back and recommend it to friends!
If you"re longing for Chinese food, this is one of your option.
Every food is cooked in advance, probably days in advance, and heated before being served.
Chicken served in a plastic packaging, like in a supermarket. Dimsum plate : 3 ones very dry, thin, and old.
Very bad experience
Verynice food combenation ang affordable bring also family and friend here
I figured this place deserves an honest review. Harbor City Dimsum House located in the new SM City seaside mall has the worst customer service I have ever experienced in my entire life of dining experiences. To the point I think they are racist against white people. My wife and I kept getting skipped over and people after us were getting served. No BS the waiter with the food cart went right by us and my wife spoke up and so did the coworker of the guy pushing the cart, he looked back at us and hurried up pushing the cart to the back of the restaurant and started serving others. My wife went to the cashier counter where 4 people were doing nothing and asked them were do we order drinks and they all stared at her not saying a word. She even spoke to them in cebuano (their language). Needless to say we never got our drinks but got their steamed rice after 20 mins. We told the female manager on shift and she apologized for their less than spectacular service. If I owned this place I would fire the management start over. From what I hear this is normal for this place. I recommend you never eat at this establishment. The one in our Ayala mall is much better.
Affordable food. Costumer-oriented staff. Clean restaurant. Uniquely festive ambiance.
Superb service. Great food. The place is great looking.
I loved that they queue you to not squeeze and fight inside the room.
One of my favourite places to go to whenever I crave for dimsum. The food is consistently delicious. I love their steamed rice, empress rolls, and sweet and sour pork.
Based on the serving, the food is a bit expensive. One cup of steam rice is PHP80+ and two pieces of empress rolls cost PHP80+ too. However, I am always satisfied with the quality of the food.
The service is really fast and the staff are very friendly and quick to serve you the moment you enter the restaurant.
The store accepts credit and debit cards.
I went in there today (June 30 2019) They seemed pretty busy but I sat down and waited to get served. I see other people coming in that sat down and were kind of impatient but got their services faster than I. It kind of irritated me but seeing how busy it was I stayed patient. The server then came and before I could order, she already brought me my steamed rice. Though I was upset at first, seeing the look on her face, I can tell she has been working hard all day. There was a limited supply of dimsum and out of the many selections of shumai, all that could be offered to me was the Mushroom Shumai. I wanted to do my part to make her day a little bit easier, so I just went with whatever was available. I left a good tip hoping it would make everyone's day a little better. I want to come back more and show my support no matter the service. You guys were all working real hard. Thank you.
The all time favorite dimsum place of the Cebuanos.
Friendly service priced great will return on time service
Good place newly renovated and love to eat after going to church.
Very accommodating costumer service. And the food is superb... Wala jud koy masaway. It was a good culinary experience for us with my family
Waiters keeps on chatting, disregarding thier customers needs. When you call their attention they pretend not to hear or see you. Very disappointing! But the food is really great, never mind the customer service.
04.12.2019. Dinner with fellow Science teacher and brother Knight of Columbus.
The male service crew performed their duties poorly while the women do most of the work.
1st dim sum restaurant in Cebu. Quality of food isn't the same anymore, but puwede na lang. Their best seller is still their steamed fried rice. Inexpensive & quick service.
I super love dimsum and this dimsum house never dissappoints niiiice lami ila steamed rice mya favorite!!!! For more infos and photos, follow me on INSTAGRAM: @thekylesuarez or @emmanyouwill
Love the dimsum here more than dimsum break. Def must try in cebu
My Fave To-Go-Resto in Cebu. Dimsum is life. I just tried thier breakfast. Nice idea to offee a good breakfast with a very affordable price.
If you like Dim Sum and other chinese/ philippine food definitely worth a visit.
Food is always good but I noticed that the staff (no matter what branch) are not so accommodating. They either look confused or upset when asked what's avaible in the dimsum cart.
I heard that it is one of the most upscale Chinese restaurants. The taste is close, but there is still much room for improvement in the way I am used to eating Chinese food.
We called Harbour City Marina Mall to order for delivery at 2:51pm.. they said they will call in a few minutes to give us the total. After an hour, still no return call. We called back, they said the orders are on the way. I asked how come it is on the way when they did not even know how much money we had for payment. I asked to talk to the manager. Apparently, it was Rein, the manager who took the order but forgot to call us back because the was busy with the concerns of their area manager. She said the orders are ready for delivery to Portville. That is not even our address.. very bad service.
good food with affordable price. better than Manila dimsums. don't miss this when in Cebu
The old favorite is still hard to beat. I recently brought my niece from Australia and she still enjoyed some steamed rice, spring rolls, and siomai. Harbour City is surely one of the highly recommended places for dim sum in Cebu. The flavors are spot on and the price is just right.
I love how accommodating they are and how they handle long cues at the entrance. It is also convenient how they strategize things since we don't always have to call on waiters to add more from the menu, they have a crew bringing around a "cart" with several a la carte's.
The food they served were savory and the service was satisfactory, we didn't have to wait long for our food. The only thing we waited for quite a time was to get inside since it was crowded.
All in all, it was a good experience.
It is always best to visit a restaurant when it is peaceful. But this recommendation would be irrelevant as you visit Harbour City.
Do not go to a dimsum place when it is nearing the closing hours. First, this is the time that they start clearing out unsold stocks. Which means, the most popular products would definitely not be available anymore. Second, service initiative drops as employees start getting restless as they are about to clock out.
Despite this, I'd say Harbour City is still one of the go-to places for affordable and quick DIMSUM! :)
Best Buffet Meal which located at JY Mall at Lahug. Chinese Foods... Love It, guys!!!
Nobody wanted to sell something. Ok, then we went again
One of the resto that i never fail to visit every now and then. I so love the food here..
Harbour City is a cheap and delicious way of experiencing a local favorite in Cebu which has become part of its culture. The style of menu (not the food choices) is similar to that of Tim Ho Wan in which you choose from small servings of Chinese food. It makes ordering and serving fast and simple.
I love their Dim Sum. Best in Cebu. Excellent steam fried rice and most of their other dishes are good too. I know people from around the Philippines who have to eat here every time they visit Cebu.
We usually wait here the system needs some improvement. The billing took so long and the food are great.
Looking for chinese dish here in Dumaguete? The place you should be is at Harbour City, they offer savory dumplings steamed or fried as a snack or main course.Come on what are you waiting for try it for you to decide.
I grew up having dimsum at Harbour City as a treat when I deserved to be rewarded. Still the same old authentic Chinese dimsum taste. However, the service has gone south :-(
It was recommended, but the taste is quite good. The locals used it a lot.
I am disappointed of their slow service. The staff said I had to wait for 15 minutes for our order but my beef sate noodles took almost an hour to be served. I already have eaten all the side dish when it was served.
Chibuano (Chinese Cebuano) flavors at reasonable prices. Steamed Fried Rice, Bacon roll and Spring Roll combo is a delicious set for less than P240. ( price estimate as per July 14, 2018). Don t forget to ask for dipping sauce - chili and ginger sauces for the siomai and sweet & sour sauce for the spring roll.
this is my happy place, though it was dirty and the food was overly salty - this deserve a plus in my book - I have not been here for almost 20 years, it's still consistent in terms on how fast the food is delivered to our table.
