Hands down without a doubt this is the best massage place in Dallas period! If you want to feel good, have good health, and be pain free then I suggest you go here as many times as you can it's worth it! There is no other place I would ever go

The website gives you an option to request more information. Whoever the email goes to calls and makes you feel stupid for requesting more information. The conversation turned me off and I will not waste my money with any establishment like this. Will be applying to Sterling Heath Center & Spa instead. They were very nice and answer any questions you may have. Very welcoming, unlike Hands on Approach!

wow, I am surprised at the negative review here by Sally Parks! I am a current student there, after having researched all the other massage schools in the Dallas area. I find Russel very informative and knowledgeable. I had a massage by Claude, and it was one of the best I have had, he was very intuitive with pressure and where to give extra attention to stressed areas.

I was actually present when Sally Parks came in to apply for a position there, it was our first or second day of massage school, yet she repeatedly told all of us in the classroom, including the teacher, that she was very impressed and that she learned more in the couple hours she was there than she had in her entire training! Apparently she changed her tune when she did not get hired due to poor technique! Sour grapes and trying to punish the school for her shortcomings apparently!

Do the research, there are tons of great reviews for the school, the service and the massage at Hands on Approach! You can't go wrong either coming to get a massage or if you are looking to be trained as a massage therapist!

Today, I called late afternoon and they were able to schedule me for an 1.5 massage with an LMT. I regret not seeing them sooner. Therapist was very professional and great skill set. Please consider Hands On Approach as I plan to see them again.

Iam a massage therapist, and I called to ask about the advanced program. The person I talked with (who possiblywas the owner) was very hostile in his responses. It seemed as though I could not ask the right questions. Every question had a hostile response. I do not think that I want to attend this school or their spa, if the atmosphere is this hostile. If I do it will be for the only cost and not the atmosphere. Whew! That was tough call just to get information. Ugh!

I really enjoy a great massage when I need to relax and Hands On Approach has always rubbed me the right way. My PCP recommended this place to me a while back so I tried them out. Just recently I went in for my 2nd appt for a 80 min Shiatsu and left out with my soul anchored. I always prefer a licensed male therapist but I'm sure anyone can get the job done.

I had a very bad day with another 'school' but these guys got me in and I only had to wait an hour (we were squeezed in) OMFG these people not only took me in after my friend had explained I needed the massage because of painful muscle spasms, but they put me with Zuko NOW THIS WOMAN MADE ME HURT SO GOOD! I kid you not, I literally melted onto the floor after she was done, I was barely able to coordinate my hands and fingers I was so relaxed and I had to get dressed. She tore me up in a great way . She had my spasms gone, knots gone and muscles so relaxed I swore I was drunk for a while. Pay the extra 10 or 15 bucks, get a massage that will make you feel like a new person afterwards!! OMFG HANDS ON APPROACH FRIGGEN ROCKS!!!

I had previously gone to Texas Center for Massage Therapy; who I stopped doing business with months ago! I called for over 3 hours trying to get an appointment, it went straight to the machine every time and I tried over a period of two days! Then, when I went in to maybe get a walk in, (I would wait a few hours if I had to) and I needed a deep tissue badly!... they were all booked up 'from that morning' per the woman at the little desk... FROM THAT MORNING?! I told her I had tried for over three hours over two days, she looked at me with a 'don't give a crap sneer', "Well sir, that be the way it go sometimes." I just walked out... I could not believe I was going to pay for a friend and me to get a massage there, where the students did a good job on my Ex Wife and me previously. But now this oratory genius was telling me in no uncertain terms TOUGH, WHO CARES? Apparently Hands On Approach cared and still do... I love these people!

Now in the months since, and I forgot how many massages.. I have had several students works on me, but Zuko for now is the best! hands as gentle and soft as can be, but they reach into you so deeply and pull out the crud when needed! Don't be afraid to tell the students here harder or lighter, they listen, and they make you feel good, but you have to communicate.

OK I am reading these Bad Reviews from 'students'. One Pavilli S (WTFE it is), IF you really stood behind what you say, you would use your full name and; you would be willing to stand your ground because you firmly believe in what you say.

As for 'A Google User' how much more cowardly can you be? Be brave, current student or past student, be proud of your belief in what you say... IF YOU ARE RIGHT and you know you are without a doubt. You can't hide behind a general name, it takes merit away form your words.

Trust me, IF these people start sucking at what I am paying for, I will damn sure say something.

Still one of the best places I have been for a massage! Almost every single student and LMT there has been great to epic. Only one in my opinion was lacking 'for me'. But others like them, so I know it must just be incompatible energy (yes I believe in that stuff).

I am HORRIBLE with names, but there are several good LMT and Students coming out. Mr. Charles if you need stretching and working on sciatica or sports like stuff. Mary as awesome energy, Liz has a great pin point muscle knot targeting system (lol) and a recent lady, Summer who my wife says has great potential.

I have read the negative reviews. Some of them sound a tad 'Jaded'. Almost like competition (rival massage school or business) or someone expecting the 5 star treatment from a school. You know the type, their poo doesn't stink and they are always right.

Anyway, go and see for yourself. If you get a student remember they are STUDENTS, if you get an LMT, they are finishing up their training and getting 'JOB' experience.

Mary was so talented. She relieved the tension in my shoulders and arms, and she adjusted her pressure when I requested. It was honestly the nicest, most relaxing massage I've had. I definitely recommend her!

I started coming here 3 years ago and I would like to say that LIZ is a true magic worker. I live 45 min away and still come back time after time to see her. I ve spent years and lots of money on trying to find someone who could finally accommodate to my needs and I m so thankful that since I ve found her my look is over.

This is a review as a Student's personal experience.

Horrible School!!! The staff treats everyone (specially students) as though they are making us a favor for being there. Tuition is more than $5,000 and yet they could care less how they talk to you.

One of the receptionists is super arrogant (vietnamise woman) and seems to be irritated all the time. The other one (older lady) is super defensive too. They both act as though they were the owners or general managers.

The teaching is below average. All they do is to cover the basics for Swedish massage. Every time we asked to learn or try something new it was cause for an outburst . Something as simple as to change the sequence of the massage creates big drama from the teacher.

As for the owner, Russel, you can't talk to the guy about anything. As soon as you step in his office he is defensive and assumes the worst of you.

I can't emphasize this enough: Don't waste your time there! Unfortunately I didn't find any reviews (like the one above) before I enrolled there. By the time I realized how bad this was I had already paid my deposit and was one month into the program. So, at that point all I wanted to do was just to finish my 500hrs and move on.

I'm one of the students who will NEVER go back there, nor I would recommend anyone to enroll.

If you don't care about really learning and just get your 500hrs requirement, then you'll be fine. Otherwise, be prepared to spend a lot of hours of frustration and just be documented for "sitting" there, wether you actually learned something or not.

On the other hand, if you are looking to really learn and still choose to enroll there, be prepared to spend a lot of extra $$ in additional training in other schools.

I was excited about booking an appointment until my first over the phone conversation with the receptionist who was very rude and acted as if I was taking up her precious time. There's plenty of other massage schools in the DFW metroplex. Disrespect is something that shouldn't be tolerated when you're anticipating on spending money at any establishment.

I went for an interview for a massage position 2 months ago. To get a massage job, one has to massage the owner. He is rude, disrespectful, wants all his massage therapists to mimic the way he teaches, ex: 3 strokes this way, 3 strokes that way. He is EXTREMELY OCD, Disappointing teaching methods: watching his video, mimic massaging right out of the film , THEN Not LEARN Anatomy and Physiology.and the affects on the body from massage first. EX: a client has had Cancer and/or surgery/ radiation treatments,. I will not take a chance on my license and hurt someone. I want to be trained properly in that modality. Go on AMTA (American Massage Therapy Association) for mote information on training and on the professionalism the standards a massage therapist must uphold. Knowing massage therapy for over 10 years +, An AMTA member for 10+, is not a lousy therapist but a trained in bodywork. Do not go there unless you want this school s sub-standard philosophy on training.

The owner of this school is extremely rude. He talks down to people as if you have no clue what you are talking about. I would never consider attending this massage school if it was the last school to attend in the Dallas/Forth area. When most people think of massage, healing and relaxation comes to mind. And, and I'm sure that's the kind of environment that you would want to train as a massage therapist in, and not one that is hostile and makes you feel as if you can't do anything right. Because of the owner's attitude, I decided to look elsewhere for training and I'm glad that I made the decision to go elsewhere.

It would be difficult to say enough good about the consistency of the cleanliness, courtesy, and professionalism of Hands On Approach. I have been indulging in weekly 90-minute massages (only $42.50, no tipping allowed, wow!) for more than a year. The interns, having been through the bulk of their training, have all been good enough that I see to reason to pay more for a licensed massage therapist.

The parking is more than adequate, the waiting area is comfortable, the restroom is clean and spacious, the reception staff is capable. Suggestion: due to traffic issues on Preston, you may want to arrive early. There's even a Half-Priced Books store a few doors down if you want to kill some time.

Hands On Approach accepts credit cards and has furnished documentation that allowed me to use my flex spending dollars, which required a letter of medical necessity from my doctor.

A minor downside of relying on interns is that they graduate and move on. But then the inevitable turnover provides opportunities to become acquainted with new people.

That was the worst massage I have ever received. I cannot believe that I payed 60 dollars for it. I have received a lot of massages, good in bad. But that one took the cake. The therapist was nice enough and therefore makes me feel bad for feeling this way. But what a waste of my money.

From the front desk to my amazing massage therapist Cynthia amazing experience! I have RA and cervical & lower lumbar spinal fusions and it helped immensely unknot and loosen my muscle and joints. I'll be back on a regular basis when I can.

Me and my mother received a massage today by a student. They were very kind, professional, and skilled. We both had a fantastic experience. Very relaxing experience. My mother had been suffering from generalized muscle pain before the massage and said she felt 90% better afterward. We will be returning. I highly recommend this establishment for your massage.

I'm a recent graduate and highly recommend this school/spa. My teacher Ms Roberta was knowledgeable, patient and kind. The receptionist Kathy and Sabrina were helpful and friendly. The spa manager, Jan remained organized and efficient at all times. Kim the office administrator was excellent in her position with her open door policy. Russell, the owner proved to be a pioneer in the massage industry... Thanks for the opportunity to gain a new career.

Try and skip masseuse Liz as she is unprofessional. She has no idea what massage you have paid for and if you say one thing wrong, she feels that she has been insulted and will stop the massage. She didn t have the hot pack available that every other tech uses. All of this happened in the first minute of a couples massage. I was shocked and it ruined the day for my wife. The manager won t side with you as they don t care about the customer.
