I dont know what happened to this place. I have very fond memories of it as a kid. Big banquet breakfast, nice lodging, positive experience. This was 30 years ago.
Now its a literal rat infested run down mess with a terrible breakfast.
My child called out the rats running along the roof as we were sitting in the spa. Gross.
Decent price, great room with an amazing view of the San Diego River. Location is easy enough to Uber to nearby malls but nothing nearby to walk to.
Two biggest downsides were a lot seemed out of order or needing attention and the restaurant staff never seemed to know how to work there. It took 30 minutes to get a coffee from the shop and we had to hunt down a host for a seat in the dinning room and wander around looking for any one when meal was done.
Great space for small conventions though and great price for a buffet meal.
This place has excellent customer service and staff, the rooms (including the bathroom) are very nice and spacious with microwaves and mini fridges. They also have good free WiFi.
I love this place. I would stay here again. Employees are awesome. The Ada room is super. Anyone who doesnt like this place needs there head examined. I highly recommend this place, for a comfy well located hotel. I love the waterfall and the landscaping, this place is beautiful. Thank you.
We met with Steve Hanger, Events Director, regarding our upcoming reunion. We sampled the delicious food. This place is GREAT!
If I could give no stars, I would. This is where you go to die. I only ate food from there once and I got food poisoning. I was throwing up all night. If you don't mind having your freedom stripped, this is the place for you. Mind you, now that I am away from there, I feel there is an imaginary barrier there because you instantly feel different upon arrival. I wouldn't wish this on my worst enemy.
My room is terrible!! Telephone and heater are not working. House keeping is not good. The room is more dirty, lots of soil debris before cleaning the room. Car parking slot is very hard to find.
Add one more star because of the breakfast is quite well and lot of fruit menu
Staying here for 5 nights. Shower did not drain while showering. Fridge stopped working called down to let them know. They said they are sending someone up. Waited an hour then I called them back because no one showed. Reminded them that I am diabetic and I have to keep my insulin cold. Still took over another hour to come. That fridge did not work adequately either. So I put my medication in my friends fridge which was working. I'm not impressed. Oh and they never addressed the fact that our tub was not draining properly.
Amendment...8/10 thank you for responding I did also email and finally got a response back the next day. We are being taken care of. Thank you.
Very professional, very secure, I felt my overall health was never in jeopardy.
Area looks great as you pull up. But the interiors are a little dated, along with the carpet.
Check in went smooth. They have ample check in parking, which is great. They have a small rotunda, which I did notice a lot of cobwebs.
While going to the room, they have a large open space which is cool. But the paint is peeling near the top.
My room had a sliding door which didn't lock. Maintenance got a pin to jamb and lock it.
While it was older, the sheets were clean, and the bathroom was also clean.
